Well, then it is "sort of" working. It also explains why I am finding vehicles with repair kits or lug wrenches. But it fails to explain why I have yet to find a fully loaded, fully functioning vehicle in the middle of wherever on the map. IF, and that's a big if, it were really working people would be stumbling on vehicles that are ready to go since I have left quite a few in my wake over the past few weeks.

It should persist for more than one restart, depending on the server. Some are still doing 4 hour resets and vehicle are persisting through at least enough to go 24 hours, this is what I am seeing and am not depending on someone else's word for it..

Not too sure about that. I had a Lada 4x4 next to my tent. The next day it was gone, nothing in the tent was touched, including the battery, spark plug and the headlights from the same Lada I had stored in the tent. They seem to be resetting, now maybe that is a bug and I am sure that isn't as intended. This is happening to many people, have you have a vehicle persist past a 24 hour period yourself or are you just taking someone's word for it? So clear as mud, you bet it is. LOL. I went to look too and it had NOT respawned in it's old location.

Sure, love this idea, will make it easy to find people and shoot them by their campfires

Driving in a thick fog during the daytime can be a challenge, can't imagine at night this would be any faster than running..

To me, it seems that vehicles are despawing only once a day. I have been on a server that resets every 4 hours and the vehicle are persisting through a 24 hour period. I have taken to using barrels to store batteries, lug wrenches, repair kits, headlights, spark plugs and glow plugs near vehicle spawns that are known to me.

When that happens use a tire repair kit to repair all the tires, remove them with a lug wrench and reattach them to the vehicle. Sometimes the tires do not show their true damage state when you inspect them, if you have worn tires they can make the vehicle pull in one direction. There are still some serious vehicle bugs, this is but one of them. At least they don't get glued to the ground anymore when in proximity to another vehicle..

I have been finding these pretty consistently in the upper floors of the really large city hall in Cherno and in the 3rd floor storage closet of the Prison out on the Island. FYI, seems combat knives only spawn in ATC Towers these days. Anyone seen an ammo can?

Over at Vybor base today, grabbed a mil tent and had my ruck in hand. I aggroed a zed and drew him in a building with the intention of shutting him in. Missed the door, he didn't miss me. Finally got him locked in and I am bleeding. For some stupid reason it seemed like a good idea to use a sewing kit instead of a bandage. I haven't gotten sick from this in awhile, so wth. Immediately I start getting sick and then getting warnings that my wounds are itchy. Uh-oh. I run down to where I wanted to place the tent and do so, I then download all my gear since I am sick and the color in my vision is going fast. I try bandaging again, this just wastes a bandage so I run up to the nearest ville and start looking for some disinfectant, maybe I can disinfect a bandage and fix my wounds that way. Then I get a "my wounds are infected" warning. Vision getting even more washed out. I run to the water pump and make myself sick. This staves it off but in a short while I am getting "my wounds are seriously infected" warnings and things like "I feel warm" but my status indicator does not show hot or over heating. Status indicator is also a bit wonky during all this, my hydration level would go up and down and back up again with out drinking anything, sick indicator would come on and off, never stayed steady state, making myself puke seemed to stave off the worst of the infection but I have no way of knowing if this was really true or not. I am getting worried I am going to pass out, naturally I can't find a disinfectant bottle ANYWHERE, but finally I find a tincture of alcohol. Took it in hand and used the "clean wounds" option. PHEW, that was close call. I am now right as rain, still haven't gotten back to healthy but the color is back in my vision and I haven't had to puke for quite a while now..

When I come upon three guys gathered around an unknown object on the ground at a smoking NATO helicrash, all three carrying rifles, no one pulling security or even looking the other way, I see an opportunity to impart a valuable lesson. I shoot some one, preferably the one with the big orange mountain pack . The other two scattered like rabbits, one went left the other went right (that, at least, was the smartest thing they did, still, makes me giggle madly). Even gave me time to loot the dude I killed and run around the crash. 1. Never gather around like that, at least one guy needs to be pulling security. 2. If you want to share the loot with your buddies, fine, move away from the crash/loot site at least 1 KM or a major terrain feature away to do this. 3. Low pop server? Yeah, ok, no such thing, the other guys out there you haven't accounted for are doing the same things you are.

Damn right there is. Seems like Vavilovo is the MP-133 shotgun capital of the world, found 5 in one house, three in a shack and few more scattered about in various buildings in that town alone. Crazy. Western side of the map is home spawn of the pink ball cap. Can't find any other color but pink colored ball caps west of Chernogorsk..

So this happened today, I logged in and selected play. My character went into my favorite public server and I was completely naked except for my M4 which also had only the magazine I had last put in it. No buttstock, no foregrips, no sights, only the magazine. This was not the usual "could not connect to database" bug. What the hell was that all about? I logged out and went back in without moving but the server screen froze on me. I go back into a different public server, same, naked me, naked rifle. Was this a database, server or client side foul up? Any ideas?
