I have seen it suggested that what we can do now as far as torture just isn't enough for some people. They want to be able to cut off fingers and actually commit rape, which I would NOT EVER like to see in game. What we do now is pretty tame compared to that. Spawn a long ass way off but get back in time Sync issue, seems I cannot equip any of the gear, attacked by invisible zombie, die again. New toon gets there and sees toon that could not equip indeed has equipped most of the good stuff like the ruck and the M4. Can't loot body. DAMMIT.

The only reason I disagree with this is as I have stated before. Some sick bastards will use that as an opportunity to do heinous things to virtual animals and post it on YouTube. That could bring some serious negative blow back. So far the game is under the radar, better to keep it that way rather get the rep that some other games already have.I like the idea of your animal being it's own being. Gives them a personality. Some of my best dogs were disobedient as all hell. still loved me and still, did pretty much what I told them to do, but sometimes, revenge poop and revenge pee are best served cold. Ok here's my thing, a little over six months ago I lost my best dog in RL. I was at work and she busted out of the house, was hit by a car and died 7 hours later from bruised lungs. Tough little dog, she clung to life as long as she could in the vet hospital. She was on pain killers and in an O2 cabinet to help her breathing. It was not enough. Broke my heart, I wasn't this miserable when my father passed and I am still having grief issues with it. My wife and I cannot have children so she was like a daughter, she was also the first dog we had together. 15000+ years of human/dog coevolution is not lost on me, dogs were the first of the domesticated animals. It has even been said by some anthropologists that without dogs it is unlikely that humans could have had civilization. Dogs were equal partners in hunter/gatherer bands and are why some of these bands survived and did not go extinct. That all said, I would go absolutely berserk if I saw anyone being cruel or torturing virtual animals in game. I like the idea that dogs cannot attack players and I would like that to see that as reciprocal, meaning players cannot attack dogs either. Definitely dogs would also HAVE TO BE OFF LIMITS as a food item too. I would also like dogs to be unable to attack other dogs to prevent players from participating in dog fights. I don't care really what players do to each other, not one little bit, but I can see how some of these douchebags will do anything they think is amusing. Abusing dogs, even virtual ones, is not remotely amusing, it is sick. Imagine that on YouTube, I can see some sick turd posting vids of abusing dogs in DayZ on YouTube. I cannot emphasis enough how stupid and daft and ignorant that would be. Flame and troll me all you want, I won't respond to it and will just put you on my ignore list.

Some things I can't control, if I had my druthers the server would restart once a day and run on a 24 hour Hawaii Standard Time cycle. But it is on a four hour cycle that I can't change, all I can do is make adjustments to the time, which I am planning to do.

Can't really go by a map since SA is a bit of it's own animal. That said, yes about the spawns, but it is hard to find, some days it's everywhere. Sticks are a bit easier, but so, as has been mentioned, they can be hard, especially for the solo player to find.

LOL, some nice, basic anthropology there! However, we cannot read faces in this game anyway since they are toon faces. It is one thing to read an actual human face, even your dog can do it, but in game that just is not possble. We cannot read faces in game since there are no "tells", no twitches or sweat, no nothing which we normally go by. Seeing a mask generally will make me very wary, a mask and no pants will definitely get you shot by me if I see it. At best we have voice and inflection, if someone will even bother to speak to you before shooting you in the back of the head. Personally, I never wear a mask, except for the surgical one occasionally and if I am not in an area with a zed threat I will not wear a helmet and go with a ball cap or boonie hat instead.

For the first few days I will be conducting observation of the lunar cycle to try and determine when the optimal time is for night time play. I get the undershirt thing, it does stand out a bit but it doesn't last too long. Tearing the t shirt into rags is not the first thing I do. I wear it until I get something better or start to bleed. Military clothing is, well, military clothing, it looks especially bad on females no matter what you do to it. I'd like to see Utilikilts as an option for both sexes. Right now there just isn't a whole lot of variety for either sex when it comes down to it.
