I find the FNX easier to maneuver around with in an urban environment and they are good for varmints and zombies too. I have mine out and ready when searching buildings and tents. I just find it more comfortable to use in tight spaces. Take this part for what it is worth, but I had a magnum and an FNX in my tac vest, dude unloads an SKS into me from about 10 meters. Ruins the vest and the pistols, I am not even bleeding or knocked down... So I found it useful but maybe not the way you are thinking...

I have been getting wacked at the ATC but it isn't from snipers. Up on the second floor and higher the are some bad spots that give you the instant "DayZ Screen of Death". Happens quite often in fact.

TBH, lighting up a building with the gas lamp at night looks pretty damn cool, I just wish you could see the lights from much further away. If I see chem lights or flares at night I tend to go the other way as they are fairly new I am not too sure how long they persist. Zeds do seem to be less likely to agro at night unless you get right up on them. Personally, I feel safer at night than in the day.

Sorry, are you saying it is there, but that it should not be functional? The break, or the notch on the upper right quarter of the barrel is there to redirect the gases to help push the weapon down and left. It does not do that.

it's also the purpose of the muzzle break on the real AKM. It ain't there for "looks".

The muzzle break on the AKM does not seem to do what it is supposed to. My pulls up and right something awful. The gases are supposed to go that way to help keep it from doing it.

The smallish round wooden floored tens still spawn loot. I don't mean the big officer tents, I mean like the ones that have the red cross on them. This is still happening in the experimental servers too btw.

I actually purchased the Cherno map from Bohemia, not much good now since it has none of the recent stuff up north on it, still a nice souvenier. For awhile I was using the iZurvive map on my iPad. They keep the cherno + map regularly updated. You are aware that you can craft a full sized cherno+ map in game right? Just combine an E & W or N & S map and you get a pristine map of Cherno in all it's glory.

Or you could stay off servers that don't let admins do those sorts of things yet. Or you could look at what time the server is at when you join and get a feel for the start time after a reset. Most will reset after 4 hours anyway. The reason for all this mystery behind the outbreak could be that it will be a future in game "theme park". Not one that would be required but an optional part of the game that players could participate in at thier leisure and, hopefuily, would not require a group to complete. Much like I am sure that an initial mission for new spawns will be "the quest for can opener".
