    Forum names = no kos

I don't have same name in game on purpose.
  2. barnabus

What is wrong with you people?

Thing is it won't be empty since no one has even gone there to loot it.
  3. this shows how you can just come to the forums to find a-holes too. They are everywhere.. This particular one trolls, sharp shoots, word smiths, never contributes anything, bitches about other people's topics, thinks he speaks for the whole community, and is just annoying in general.
  4. Lesson number one, Never, ever eat or drink in a high traffic area, especially a police station

    Experimental problem

keep trying, connecting failed means almost the same as server full. With the stable servers being down for maintenance the exp ones always get full.

What is wrong with you people?

There are compasses all over the place, maps too. That stuff is easy to find if you just look for it. These folks are apparently just too busy planetsiding for no particular reason then coming here to complain about starving/freezing to death.

Anyone on the 75 player servers?

Odd, I have been spawning in with my exp character every time, I am sure when .50 hits he'll get wiped. That won't happen until I find a tent and get settled though.

Anyone on the 75 player servers?

I don't think he means actual zombies, just the grunts, groans and moans you get constantly on a full server. If your head was on a swivel it would twist right off with the constant looking behind you only to see nothing. Zeds are the same as in .49, the build is the same.

    Seeing who is on.

When you hit "P" you can see all the players who are currently logged into the server you are on. I believe this function is a bit too broad. I would like to see it narrowed to being able to showing only the names of players who are within 1 KM of your current location. Most of us are gonna have some kind of spidey sense that someone is in the area just by looking around, foot prints in the dirt, broken grass, smell (especially when/if get tobacco and this quote from "The Book of Eli: You know what's good about no soap, you can smell a hijacker from a mile away!"), etc would help us determine this things.

Better yet I wish there were wells for them to fall into and get trapped.

Anyone on the 75 player servers?

They are experimental servers, just not updated to .50 since that has not been released yet. Do the filter for it and set your ping High, you'll see SWE 1 & 2 and four stateside, two of the stateside ones are 40/40 (they are bugged, I can't open doors on these ones) but the others are 75/75. SWE 1&2 have been up since last week, they are experimenting with new hardware from what I understand.

Anyone on the 75 player servers?

Just keep trying and you will get in, don't wait for it to show a slot, took me about five minutes but I got into one of them. If you hate random noises then I would advise against it, it is crazy loud.
  13. barnabus

    When do you demand Vehicles?

I will demand them when they add Moscow to the map, over 2100 KM is way to far to run.

    Well, I combat logged.

Wow. Stick to the topic and stop trying to deflect. Did I say that those things were not wrong, I did NOT. I will go so far as to say that hacking, glitching, duping are NOT styles of play. Combat logging is NOT a hack or a glitch or a dup, you following me so far? Let me try to put it this way, you or anyone else on this forum don't get to tell anyone that a certain STYLE of play is wrong. It's that simple. No one, at least not me, is arguing that hacking or glitching or duping is a style of play except you, I have no idea where you got that from or how you even begin to have inferred that was anything close to what I was saying. Baloney. As far as combat logging goes I don't advocate it and I don't do it but I don't tell others they can't, I honestly DON'T CARE one way or the other. I am not the sheriff of DayZ and neither are you. I am officially bored with this topic and all you self appointed DayZ Gestapo types at this point. Reply all you want, I wash my hands of you.

    Well, I combat logged.

That, sir, is your opinion, it is NOT a fact.

    Seeing who is on.

Oh well, just a thought, I know the longer you survive = the more stinky you will get, especially with no option to bathe. This may be a good idea too, I have heard that those who took the time to take of themselves and made it a point to conduct personal hygiene, as much as they could, while being POW's or in Concentration Camps had a much higher rate of survival than those who did not.

    Suggestion: Sleeping When Logged Out

If your name was Goldmember I'd ride my office chair up to you and say how about no. Then the teleporters and hacker would have mass targets. Now, if it took up a space for one player on the server that could work. But what if the server you log out on is private and the owner quits paying for it, what is the recourse when you come back and can't log in to get your guy? In Rust you have a unique character for every server, it's not like that here.
  18. barnabus

    Well, I combat logged.

Once again, some self appointed DayZ guru dazzles us with their OPINION of right and wrong style of play.
  19. barnabus

    Well, I combat logged.

Oh well, I guess the morality police of DayZ have spoken and the rest of us must submit ourselves to the only acceptable style of play in their eyes or face harshly worded criticisms and threads on the forum. My goodness, I don't know if I can take that. On second thought, yeah, yeah I can. Get a grip guys, it's a game. People, no matter who they are can play however they want, there is NO right or wrong way of playing DayZ and no amount of name calling or attacking me personally is gonna change my mind about that.
  20. barnabus

    Well, I combat logged.

What kind of circular logic is that? You say combat logging is an incorrect style of play don't you? This has nothing to do with cowardice. Before you accuse me of it read the post below. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/211823-you-had-to-say-hello-with-a-bullet/ My point is that no one appointed you or elected you to be the morality/style of play police of DayZ. You don't get to tell people what is the right style of play, you can have an opinion but you don't get to tell people what to do. If you don't like it then tough. There is NO right style of play. What are you going to do to combat loggers? Give them a ticket? Write a harshly worded thread about them in the forums? Jeez, get a GRIP stop taking this GAME so frigging seriously you guys.
  21. barnabus

    Well, I combat logged.

There is NO honor among thieves. Especially when you are up against a some slimy hacker or some jack ass with an infinite magazine. Again, PLAY YOUR GAME however you want. You paid for it, do your thing. Screw what ever anyone else says.
  22. I am not bitching about getting KoSed because I did not get killed, he did, he started it and I ended it. So I'm sitting by a fire in a relatively hidden area fairly close to Balota AF but, apparently, not hidden well enough because I hear a bullet whizz by followed shortly by another. The shooter has a Mosin and is shooting at me! I am just chilling or rather warming by the fire. So I jump up and run through the fir trees zigging and a zagging while more bullets fly by. The shooter is getting closer as the shots are getting louder. I pull my SKS, turn around and head back, this is only gonna end if one of us dies, sigh, not what I would want but here we go. I finally see him and he shoots again, this time he wings me since I am bleeding but I unload 10 rounds of 7.62 x39 into his ass and he goes down. I am, frankly, amazed at how shitty a shot this guy was, he fires at least 7 shots at me but all he did was wing me, ruin my shirt, my warm hat and some matches. Get to the body, it slides down the hill and I am plagued with bugs, the rifle is still in the air and so is his fire axe over his body, I can't "find" the body to check the pulse or loot it even though it is right in front of me. So, to be safe, 10 more rounds into him, just to make sure and to ruin anything left on him that might still be functional. Dude, all you had to do was ask, I had some nice stuff for your Mosin I would have given you. A pristine LRS, a pristine compensator and about 45 round of ammo for it that I have been lugging around. But no, you just had to say hello with a bullet instead.
  23. barnabus

    Well, I combat logged.

Play YOUR game how you want. I don't log either, since it has really never been an option, but if I successfully evade an attacker I will log out if I make it at least 2km or one major terrain feature away. But it is your game, don't ever let anyone tell you how to play it.

    Heli crash sites

Same here, but really, I haven't been looking all that hard, only if I happen to be in the area of where I have found one before. Quest for Zheli-crash just isn't all that fun or lucrative anymore.

    Cant skin animals

You wouldn't get all that much by using an axe, skinning and quartering is a lot more delicate, for that kind of work an axe may as well be a baseball bat. A worn knife is still much sharper than a worn axe. You need the right tool for the right job.
