There was a small update yesterday unrelated to the hotfix. I noticed that after installing it it had automatically put me into experimental server yet i was able to play on stable server games and i think this is what was causing so problem solved but thanks for your help. ( Have not actually tested it but if everyone else is not having problems then that is the only thing that could have cause it)

I don't think i could even go back to a game after that. There are a lot of sad people out there and unfortunately as the world population grows so do the the number of sad people. Also tubbs i have over 500 hours in the SA, dont make rash assumptions based on post count it seems a bit stupid.

No worries man, it has been a long time since i have questioned my own linguistic skills. I was thinking 'what, have i been spelling it wrong for all these years and why has no one corrected me' but now the whole post makes a lot more sense and also hackers rarely venture up north because there is no need they can just teleport behind some poor victim and take their stuff.

My bad, wrong thread. But no this is not lag related it's down to the new update and it is a known issue.

So after reading through the comments i think i will stop playing for the time being and leave it for a couple of months before i actually make a judgement on the game and what it 'has become'. If it is a car off the assembly line with no interior and just an engine it is probably best not to judge the entire car just yet. I guess i will see you guys in a couple of months, might lurk these forums a bit though.

Don't take this the wrong way but my character looks just like you except for the longer hair. Also automatic shotguns, i did not think they were in the game yet. Hackers can do it but the devs can't. :D

Have you watched the video before commenting. Also check out my comment in the thread, what is the current hacking situation like in dayz. I caught a hacker red handed, he was obviously over confident as he only had one bullet chambered in the sporter but he missed his shot and i managed to take him out.

Well the entire arma engine it is based on is flawed i feel, the problems with the game like hacking and clunkiness (I think i made that word up) and glitching is enshrined into the engine, after all it is a game based on a modification of a game so i feel that to get rid of these problems they needed to be dealt with first and foremost. Instead the enging has been created but none of the problems from the old engine were fixed or resolved and so they will, just like the mod, always be a part of the game. Hence the flawed concept. Dean wanted this to be different from the mod but can anyone really say it is a whole new game, i can't. Disclaimer - I know nothing about making games so i may be completely wrong and they may be able to re do the engine entirely but surely that would be the first thing on the checklist of things to do ?

It is rampant, i encounter a hacker once a day. I don't know where you are playing at but hackers generally tend to stay on the coast. It is rampant though I said lets talk about content, i don't want a frankie discussion please, no offence.

Not quite. It's a game, it does not matter if it's in alpha it should still be fun, games are meant to be fun otherwise why would people play them. To say that because it is alpha the game is not meant to be fun just shows huge stupidity on your part. Nothing personal.

Guys i created an account for this and i really need an answer. I have just caught a hacker in game red handed at first i was in a building with all doors shut and i was getting punche out of nowhere, i ran into a side room and shut the door. Next thing a player appears in front of me without opening any of the doors and no he did not just spawn in and he then shoots me, luckily he only had one bullet chambered and it was not a kill shot i ended up killing him and managed to check his pulse and get his name. The server was multiplay north east fighters noob friendly Ip. 212.38.163.78:2502 time 22.44 gmt, date 26 march 2014 hackers name at time: squid How can i get this person banned and rid all of us of this filth ??
