2) If you are in a high pop server, crab-walk should be your fastest speed when anywhere near a building or place where there could be zombies, and a good deal of the time besides that. This means that inside a town or city you should never stand up. Not once. Not only will your character develop wicked thighs and glutes that would put Arnold to shame, you will avoid a lot of unnecessary zombie aggro. Dude? Crabwalk? That's the perfect speed to get shot. If you're a new spawn run at full sprint everywhere and don't stop except for the half second it takes to pick up some ammo and a gun. Full sprint is best. Zombies can't catch you and players have a hard time shooting you.

It's funny, whenever I need a Bere spawn I end up down south on the peninsula

I've found that when a city hasn't been looted yet the zombies are more aggressive and respawn quickly. However, if you've been in a town for awhile eventually the zombies start to calm down and don't seem to aggro you from as far. Also they don't seem to respawn as frequently. (I'm talking about your squad having an entire city locked down for 30 minutes or more). But that's just my subjective observation.

Just watched the Frankie vid. Yeah that sucks about the hacker. He will get banned though. I wish Frankie would play more Standalone though. Besides, the mod was rampant w hacks. People nuking entire servers. I think you just have to push forward and find solace in the fact that these hackers will be caught, banned, and wasted their money.

BE and VAC are definitely discovering these hackers and banning them. Here's a little vignette from a "hacker" forum I found (this was posted on March 23rd): "My friend got banned along with me last Tuesday, my friend decided that hed just say yolo and not buy a new one and just use his main( I don't want to get my main banned and lose arma 3 with it, he doesn't care)..." Then he goes on to talk about how is friend is a douche and they are both failures at life just like they are failures at Dayz and how they can't get laid because there is no hack for that... But then yesterday night redemption! "My friend is now VAC banned on his main, all he used was ESP/Radar. That sucks, I guess the DayZ SA hack is detected for now id say;c" So you see they are definitely picking up these guys. It's only a matter of time before they get banned. A few solutions I've thought of for this problem: 1) Increase the price of Dayz (hackers have to rebuy the game everytime they get banned - sucks for you losers!) 2) Stick to servers you have played on and have never encountered hackers. Most of the times I encountered hackers was when I strayed from the few trusted servers I typically play on. 3) Just switch servers if you see some weird shit going down.

Just a little update I was perusing some forums and it seems the hackers have their hands full. Here's some reports I found: 1) Guy reported hacking on March 16th and banned on the 18th - his friend as well 2) "There have been multiple reported bans in the VIP section." 3) "I just logged in and it turns out I was banned as well...The frequency that they are happening with DayZ SA is starting to scare me and I'm reconsidering using" 4) "Every single hack site can't go a week without being detected on DayZ SA, it was the same with Dayz mod, it's a lost cause." The general vibe I'm getting is that VAC and BE are pretty good at picking up these cheaters. It takes a few days but eventually they will get banned. Keep in mind they have to rebuy the game everytime they get caught! So at least we have some retribution in that they're throwing away thirty bucks everytime these dirty bastards refuse to fight fair.

He was probably fully geared and didn't need anything. Many players go to Elektro just to get into firefights. What else do you do in the game once you're fully geared and have explored the map? He probably thought "Hey 2 vs 1, I got the drop on them so that makes it a fair fight." If you're running by the school in Elektro you're gonna get shot at 90% of the time on a full server. But that's the fun part isn't it? He could have shot your unconscious body a couple times to make sure you were dead and then hid your bodies. The way I look at it you were lucky. Also, you ran to the grocery store after getting fired upon? That place is a shooting gallery.

Came here to investigate this. My squad encountered a player that seemed to know exactly where we were. He killed my three buddies and I was unconscious. I talked him into reviving me over direct. He then proceeded to kill everyone in Elektro and point me towards a pristine M4 hidden in some bushes. It was a weird day to say the least. After some research I realize now that he might have been using ESP and aimbots. Other people in this forum mentioned that BE bands in waves.
