Some good action there, but you need to sound a bit less monotonous when commentating, sounded more boring that it looked, not bad though.

I did however, when I pressed escape, it showed me on the bottom floor, so I guess I just fell through the ceiling and died, it did say I broke my leg, nevermind, I managed to sort myself out on the next spawn and even managed to fill an ammo box to the brim and pick up an SKS, did find an M4 with a few attachments, but sadly that was the only ammo I didn't have.
-
What the guy above said, I started off from a fresh spawn and thought I'd have a go at seeing how long it took me to run up to Svetlojarsk (Turn right when facing away shore and run) I even used all the roads and managed to evade about a twenty zombies on the way (Really not enough of them in the game), Svetlojarsk literally has everything, hospital, police station, firestation, garages, and rich houses stocked with drinks and food. To start off, ration yourself, you never know how long you will go without food or drink, always know your bearings to the last watering hole you find, as then you know when you can get water and how far away you are from it, however, I'd say if you're struggling to get any supplies, only drink when you're status bars go yellow, e.g thirsty/hungry... anything lower, you need to get a move on.

Had a pretty good day today, found a pretty tasty M4 - Can't remember what attachments though, all pristine though apart from a worn hand guard I think, not tested it out yet, found a purple taloon backpack and shortly after, found a green one, which I prefer and found plenty of supplies in what looked like to be a mental hospital I think, and finally managed to get my guy energised for the first time and hydrated, next step is healthy, how do you do that! My guy has gone from bambi, to checkered shirt wannabe poser, to fisherman, to hunting dude and now he finally looks like he's ready for action, not too sure if I should find a bandanna, would end up looking like Joe Manganiello from Sabotage. Haha! :D Anyways, been a good day, shame about the football result!

Best thing to do would be for you to say your location and server details, or like others said, just leave your laptop for half an hour to an hour and you should be ok, or best so, get your friends to come kill you, they will keep your loot for you for when you respawn... Or, be a man and crawl back, fix your leg, go to the military base and get some supplies and blast that mother fucking boulder...
-
I tend to have a mix of techniques, I'll run if I'm in dire need of something, but if I have supplies, I'll take my time, I tend to be careful with where I go, I normally stick to the high loot areas and search around for a bit and move onto the next one, I do like to search new loot areas, but if I find them too risky I tend to never go back again. I like to thoroughly know my way round a place first before I move onto somewhere else, I'm pretty confident of the East side of the map now, ventured west and felt a bit uncomfortable as I really didn't feel prepared, but I'm hoping to pluck up the courage in the next few days of venturing out into the wilderness again and searching for the tiny villages along forest lines and preparing for the survival patches to come out.

New zombies mess me up, how do you win?
Pazzmon replied to Brimstone99's topic in New Player Discussion
When I first started, only just over a week, zombies did irritate me, mainly because I didn't like running away from them, I just tried to kill them Rocky Balboa style and see if they dropped any loot, which they never have, until I learned about hitting them in the head (obvious zombie technique), then finding a few weapons, baseball bat is useless though, slow swing, inaccurate and hard against fast zombies, best item is a fire axe, find one of those, and you're safe, even in hordes of about six+... melee weapons for zombies, guns for humans. -
To be honest, if I remember correctly, the zombies in The Walking Dead are pretty slow, so, would probably be easy to get out of that situation...
-
Sorry about that, completely forgot to search for the most realistic place of finding pictures... Facepalmed myself. :)

Can a Macbook pro run on Dayz Standalone?
Pazzmon replied to Bernie_101's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I've got the mid 2012 version, however, I do have less RAM than you... What I did was dual-boot my MBP using Bootcamp with a bootable Windows 8.1 USB drive. Works well on low settings, but pains to say the graphics card on Macbooks are pretty terrible, definitely need to replace my Macbook with a custom computer. -
Met my first player tonight, he was Dutch, a new guy, just like me, found him in Svetlojarsk hospital, first thought he was a bandit, as he was wearing one of those annoying masks, however, we chatted for a bit and I tried to help him find some medical supplies, unfortunately I got lagged out from the server, praying that he didn't kill me off as I lagged out, I logged back in straight away, he was gone. My first and only siting of a human player. Only took 95 Hours to do so... :(

The amount of bat-shit crazyness on this forum makes me wonder what people would be like in this situation... In my opinion, the zombies are ok as they are, however, I would like a mixture of them, some slow and powerful, some fast like they are now, but less effective...and more of them, sure in towns there is more than on the outskirts, but the game is barely flocked with them, I expect to see more than one zombie per street in the larger arease... (granted I've not been to Cherno, so can't comment about there) but yes, you can evade zombies, whilst zig-zag sprinting, the only problem with the zombies is that they can still go through walls and not climb up stairs.

After hearing about this game a couple of months ago, (have no idea how I stumbled across it), I got intrigued and began watching videos of Frankie, LeftyOX and others, I found it hilarious, (Especially the capturing of a woman and luring her as bate to some bandits). After a while, I decided to buy it, knowing that I had to change my Macbook Pro and dual boot it, I managed to actually ruin my hardrive when partitioning it, however, I made so much effort to fix it, just to play DayZ, even though my Macbook Pro 13.3" has a terrible graphics card, it's definitely not making a hindrance on my excitement and joy levels while I play this game. Well, after playing it for about twenty hours.. I've spawned again many times...probably died in all the ways possible..even suicide off a factory! But, I've had this one game now, I've been alive now for about four hours, I've managed to go from Svetlojarsk... following the coast all the way down to Solnichniy, Kamyshovo, back up to Tulga, Msta, Berezino, Khelm, back to Svetlojarsk, got lost on the way to the airfield, and ended up in Olsha, which actually had some life saving loot, gained some pain killers and a can of beer which got rid of my very soon to be broken leg and mild food poisoning (who knew alcohol was good for a sore tummy!) Managed to find my way to the airfield, low behold, I managed to ransack the whole place, with my new fire axe that I found in Svetlojarsk hospital, I was so happy, my first decent weapon! In the airfield, I also found a mountain backpack, which is my first backpack as well, along with my first gun as well and also my first medical kit! I was so happy, I feel like I'm going to mount everest! However, I need one more thing...a wooden f***ing stick? Just so I can fix my extremely painful leg... Possible Bug: In brown (camo?) pants.. (six slots), you can't put any items in the first slot (not too sure on item condition though so that could effect it). Overall, I'd say this game is about as addictive as football manager for me... something that passes the time so quickly you don't realise it's taken you about half an hour to go from Svetlojarsk to Kambiwobo! Definitely can't wait for the new survival ideas to be implemented, vehicles need to stay out of this game for a while, I think something has to be done about loot, it's taking me 20 hours to find any decent sort of survival gear which is why I've lasted more than three hours for once, however, i'm not complaining too much as I've had to be more rational with anything I find and extra cautious and even more expeditious! So happy I spent the £19.99 on getting this game, despite being bare minimum of what it could be, it's an amazing start to a game, no doubt many game awards will be broken! Possibly add a few Runescape-esque sort of survival.. players able to chop down trees with axe... make fires with logs and firelighters or rags, matches and logs/twigs, being able to make food on fires with pots, and have different recipes, able to set traps up to capture animals, skin with kitchen knife or possible swiss army knife, etc and cook on the fire. The possibilities are endless, as long as they keep it realistic and logical in the way things need to be made/done/work etc then it will be amazing. :)

So, my eight hour journey finally ended, after going back to the airfield to stock up, I left for the hills in search of a barn house to find a wooden stick, I found a railway line and used that all the way down to somewhere I've never been before, actually think I was out of the map! Nevertheless, I managed to find a barn, but just outside was a little wooden holder, in which a zombie was stuck in, after having a laggy server and spending about thirty seconds trying to jump a fence, the zombie attacked me and put me unconscious with one hit, was so furious that my exciting journey came to an abrupt end in which I had no control over thanks to an invisible zombie. :(

I really want to play day-z but i don't have the right computer
Pazzmon replied to jackobyron's topic in Technology/Programming
Hello, if you've got a Macbook Pro like myself... this is what I did. 1- Using Disk Utility - Partioned the hard drive equally (your choice on Windows Partition size) 2- Download Windows 8.1 Enterprise ((Or your preferred Windows (could get a torrent version if wanted)) ISO of Microsofts site. 3- Use Bootcamp to install ISO on USB disk. 4- Bootcamp will then install some files to help installation of Windows 8.1 (Or your preferred Windows (could get a torrent version if wanted) 5- Hold the option key when booting up (Select Windows) 6- Install steam 7- Install DayZ Note: - You will have to play on low settings due to the graphic capabilities of the Macbook Pro. If you have any problems, message me and I'll give you some help. Everything in this post is legal - Windows 8.1 Enterprise is a 90 day free trial download from the official Microsoft site. Links: (Install Windows 7/8 Using Bootcamp) (Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise ISO) Hope this helped, it worked for me. If any admin would like to sticky this post (or make a new thread) , I could make a more in-detail step-by-step post of what I did so Macintosh users like myself can play this game. -
Yeah, I've been playing for nine hours in total now, not seen a firearm at all until I found that, not complaining though, enjoying the game thoroughly, only seen one other guy as well, he punched me and ran off, thought it was hilarious, seem to have had a lot of fist fights with zombies though which is pretty fun.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S. Survival Guide [Complete] [Update on May 30th]
Pazzmon replied to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Dust's topic in New Player Discussion
Thank you for the good read, as a new player, I enjoyed learning about the areas and the military bases, was currently on my way to Cherno, but decided against it as I'm really not to familiar with the game as of yet so would probably get punished by someone who's been in the town for a few weeks! Enjoyed reading about the houses "The fancier they look, chances are the better the loot", makes sense I guess but something you don't think about when you're in a game. :) -
I might be one of the unluckiest guys playing, only recently found a double barrel, I thought yippee! Finally a weapon that isn't a wrench! Low behold, it had no ammo, I ended up dying about half an hour later...started again and I've found about thirty ammo packs! Crazy...

Hello all, I'm very new to this game, only played it a couple of times so far, because I seem to have a problem with dedicated video RAM... I'm using a Macbook Pro - Intel HD Graphics 40002.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz) with 3MB L3 cache4GB of 1600MHz DDR3 memoryDual Booting - OS X Mountain Lion and Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition... I'm a bit confused as to why I can't play this game on relatively high detail because it is a good spec computer... obviously had to dual-boot it to play DayZ... (Yes, I can play this game...but on low settings before I get a laggy game)
-
Yeah, I just did a quick search and the graphics card is pretty shocking to what I thought it would be...oh well, should be having a new computer soon which actually has more than 32mb od dedicated video memory. It plays rather well on low settings though so I'm not complaining too much and I'm not missing much either...
