Spawned in Svetlojarsk, ran off the hospital roof accidentally, then spawned near Kambiwobo and managed to find my killer running round the firestation, was so happy and pumped for revenge, but unfortunately some guy shot me before I could get close to my killer. - Gets shot - Broken Leg - Guy runs over "Want me to kill you?" - "You may as well.." Funny old game... So far I have met three people in total on this game... Two have killed me, one I even helped. 1/3 people are good isn't a bad ratio I guess...

Would you ever consider doing any voicing? Meeting up with actual friendly people? Like on the game you do sometimes, perhaps bandaging up, handing over supplies/food/drink etc.. just a thought. :)

Not my video, but found it funny. This is actually hilarious.

My first time playing DayZ and i'm in way over my head trying to out-bandit a bandit.

That is hilarious, don't think I've ever seen a funny death like that. -
I was just wondering, we're currently testing out 43.142 or something on the normal servers, what number are they using on the experimental servers? Can people confirm that some bugs are being fixed on the experimental servers etc... basically, what are the differences? Thanks. :)

If you have a large enough bag then I'd say Rice, 10% per intake and aslong as you are close to a water fountain you can be energized, hydrated and healthy off one or two bags. Then you'll not need to eat for a good few hours!

Last time I saw was that they said if it doesn't come out within two weeks, then it's coming out at the end of April. :)
-
Am I right in thinking that the update will be at the end of April? (Quite keen as it will be my first major update whilst playing the game).

This is pretty amazing stuff here, really liked the video and it gives a totally different perspective at what the game would look like in real life. Good effects, might be my computer but the shooting sounded a little hollow, not to take anything away from you though!

Impression of Standalone (from a DayZ Mod Veteran)
Pazzmon replied to chrismgtis (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
Sorry to bring up obvious news, but this IS alpha, the game is 20% done... they aren't even close to bringing it to Beta! Then, that'll be another year or two before it gets a full release, guys we're looking at ATLEAST two years before this game gets a full release, aslong as they don't cancel the project, it is going to look totally different when it comes out, do people actually play an alpha game and expect it to have no problems... I beta tested Football Manager Live for a year and a half, and it was being tested in beta for about six months before that, I enjoyed that game so much, I had six subscriptions of £5 a month for it! I am so glad I bought DayZ now, as in two years time, it's going to be breaking records. -
How do you think DayZ Standalone is going?
Pazzmon replied to Zedertone's topic in General Discussion
I've only had the game a couple of weeks, but I'm probably one of the games biggest fans, it's thoroughly enjoyable, I spend 99.9% of my game time on my own, exploring different parts of the map, killing a few zombies in the process, infact, I've only shot any gun once, I'm happy wandering round at my own pace, yeah, some parts of the game are broken, the obvious things atleast, but they will get fixed in time, I'm excited for the survival/hunting aspects of the game to be added and it will make the game more enjoyable for myself and others, I'll probably end up finding a nice remote spot, already found a few places! Where I'll hideout in my tents or whatever gets brought out, hopefully a hammock! :) Best parts of the game: - Map size - Loot wear - Customisation (clothes, spray paints, attachments) Worst parts: - Not enough zombies/infected - Not enough variety of zombies/infected! (Some slow, some fast, some crawling, some strong, some weak) - Low max limit of players on servers (Increase to sixty maybe) - Need more sounds - Lacks personal character customisation Enjoyable: 9/10 Immersion: 7/10 Addictiveness: 8/10 That'll do for now. -
Streamers make Day Z SA look like so much action happens.
Pazzmon replied to KindsirCTHG's topic in General Discussion
Some videos are actually helpful, fun to watch and others are actually really entertaining, I would never have bought this game if I didn't watch the videos, just reading up about it isn't enough. On topic though, ofcourse people are going to make videos which are more action packed than the game itself, you wouldn't watch a Fifa Ultimate Team video on YouTube if all they did was 0-0 games... DayZ can think of it as free-advertising though, different people show different aspects of the game. -
If you could change one thing about SA right now....
Pazzmon replied to DMack's topic in General Discussion
more zombies, variety of zombies, fixed zombies... just zombies. -
Nice videos there, especially the mob one, joining up with another clan is pretty cool and defending other guys as well and sending them in the right direction is a good thing to do. Beans.

This, I will always go it alone, yeah I'd see a stranger and help him if he needed it, but teaming up with someone, not a chance, it's the internet, wouldn't trust anyone.

This is how I thought it was? I've not been to any major big town/city apart from Svetlojarsk and that was accidental, but I was hoping that my two week holiday up north would gear me up ready to go down and venture to Chernarus or Berenzino or Elektro.
-
Never been into Berenzino, so wouldn't be able to comment.
-
A question and could people please xplain something.
Pazzmon replied to elitachi's topic in New Player Discussion
North end of the map is barely touched, especially Svetlojarsk, which has a couple of rich houses, hospital, police station, you can gear up within ten minutes of being up there, taking another ten minutes to get to the nearby small airstrip which can hold a few goodies as well. -
There is plenty of YouTube videos to watch before you make your decision, I watched over fifteen hours worth of gameplay footage before I made the choice to buy it just over two weeks ago and I've spent almost 100 hours on the game, good investment I think.
-
Personal preference I guess, nothing stopping you from searching for ambient music on YouTube whilst you play, I like to keep the game sounds really defined and only be able to hear in-game sounds themselves on games like this, however, if I'm playing Fifa or Forza etc then that's a bit different. :-)

Can a Macbook pro run on Dayz Standalone?
Pazzmon replied to Bernie_101's topic in General Discussion
Wasn't on about butt-hurt over OS X, was on about the constant argument which surrounds gaming and the two companies.. I myself have experience with both. But as you said... the thread maker will have to lower his expectations on the quality of the gameplay he is going to have. Doesn't deter the experience though, I myself play it on low settings and can't get off the game! Will be a totally different ball game when I get a new setup and play it on high settings all round! -
I get attached to my character and his look I guess, every time I spawn, I try and go for different looks, I try and stay from the generic bandit look, as I do try and come across as a nice guy, shame I don't meet many people along my travels, but if I did see more people, I'd let them tag along and help them in anyway I can.

Can a Macbook pro run on Dayz Standalone?
Pazzmon replied to Bernie_101's topic in General Discussion
People in this thread have such butt-hurt, DayZ doesn't run on OS X, however, I never tried using the game exactly using software to run it, the specs aren't good on Macbook's older than 2012, however, they will run it if you dual boot it, on low settings. Macs have better software, but have worse hardware, but they run the hardware they do have, more efficiently, as I now work for a supplies company, I get to look at hardware all the time and buy it at stock price, can't wait for payday to buy a nice setup. -
I've not seen anything about a background story, like, how it all happened, and why you spawn on the coast, just saw a thread where the game is based on the coastal spawns, so there must be a story somewhere about it all? Or did the developers just make the game this way?

I used to smoke pot, I'd probably think that this game would probably be better when stoned, haha! Just sitting there on top of a hill in scope watching the whole place for an hour and then thinking shit, I've done fuck all.
