So, I've spent a good few hours roaming round more parts of the map I've not been to before mainly the Sobor towns, neither of them have a police station do they? Anyways, I'm not one for shooting gun, infact I think I can confirm I've shot all guns combined about ten shots in total, not even at a player. I've gone from farmer outfits, raincoat hikers now more like a combat ready soldier, I've been on 40 player servers since I started playing tonight but still haven't seen many people, do people not go around the Sobor towns and military base by the airfield any more? Well, I've enjoyed my day anyway, be it peaceful and tranquil... what makes you happy or have a good day on Dayz?

People complaining, are these the same people that have played over 300 hours on the game. Christ, if I spent 300 hours on any game I'd be happy paying more than £60 for it. Bargain I think.

To be fair, I've not had any memorable moments so far, I tend to stay away from people in this game, but if I see someone on their own, I'll make small interaction until they endlessly shoot me. The biggest heartbeat moment was camping in the ACT Tower with a crossbow with a clan of three or four surrounding the building, ended up being shot and killed. No biggy. 135 Hours played and not one kill of a human character. I'd like to keep that record.

Congratulations to Bohemia Interactive, Dean and the developers, they have obviously created such a popular product, people may see the £39m pounds they have made, excluding taxes, wages, commission fees, they probably took about £25m - £30m. (Depending on the taxes in (Czech Republic/Slovakia not too sure which one), people also need to realise you can't just chuck money at a currently 25% game. This would cause uncountable problems which will take even longer to fix. The way they have acted is professional, especially with the 33% of the players so far currently complaining left, right and centre about a broken product. We get very decent updates about once a month, over time this updates will no doubt be happening less frequently as bigger things are being worked on, which take more time. "I want fiyah playces nd huntin'!" - Devs: Okay, next month. (Bugs happen and update gets delayed) whiners: This game is broken, alpha isn't an excuse any more, no updates is making this game, h1z1 looks better, hate this game. All in all, learn to respect the developers, they are making the game you currently play on, which is very enjoyable. Also... Some people can never be pleased, unfortunately most of those people play DayZ.

Been watching your videos for hours now, sounds like and looks like you have a good laugh. :)

mankini anyone?

It seems that 99.5% literally... of the servers I have been on this week have all been night time servers... not complaining as it makes the game 50% more interesting.. but is anyone else struggling to actually find a day time server or one that is in day time?
-
Hmm, I must be just unfortunate then... never mind.
-
Pretty sure it is you who was shooting at me just then, was the guy you were shooting at running around the top of the building?
-
So, it seems to be daytime on this server, yet I find it becoming as dark as night and usual day light, switching every five seconds or so, I do have clouds enabled, but surely this doesn't happen in real life constantly for an hour?

When Does The " ALPHA!" Excuse End?
Pazzmon replied to iongaming33@aim.com's topic in General Discussion
Should the game have been released as it was? YES Why? Because it would have taken even longer to get all the data they need to start optimizing the game and we get to play an already amazing game. Have a problem? Deal with it, glitches happen, bugs happen, shit happens, but whilst everyone is playing the game as it should be, it helps the developers more than you think. If you haven't tested a game before, be it at alpha stage or beta stage, then you have a lot to learn in being patient with testing. /thread. -
Paragraphs bro, paragraphs. Good story though.

When Does The " ALPHA!" Excuse End?
Pazzmon replied to iongaming33@aim.com's topic in General Discussion
If the game wasn't released, the developers would still be fixing M4 carbine problems. They released it the correct way, getting people to play a game that isn't fixed, this allows them to gather so much more data to see what is causing problems to the minute scale. Whilst earning profit to be able to afford new studios and hire more team members to complete tasks much quicker and be able to roll out updates quicker. It's alpha...deal with it, cliche on the forum but it is true, alpha is about gaining as much data as you can to see what causes problems and what problems can be fixed... adding more items into the game could harm this data, or it could help it, mostly the former. If you're expecting patches and fixes to happen every week, then you're a tool. It would take far too much time to bring out a fix for one thing, then another. Infact I'd love to be able to see a full log of events which happen between one update and another, there will literally be hundreds, possibly thousands of optimizations alone, along with other items coming into the patch itself such as guns, clothing, masks etc... infact we should be pretty grateful that we have these things right now..when they could have still given us the basic outline of the game and make us play that until they manage to get enough data to stabilize the game more. Each time they add something new, that has to be added to spawn loot, which itself has become a bit bugged as well (now being tested). With more items being added, comes new problems, but we also get previous problems being fixed. People say 'it's alpha', because guess what, it is alpha, it's not about being able to play the game smoothly at all, complaining is never good and if you can't appreciate what this game is currently going through (most important stage of them all) then why are you playing this, you've all agreed to the notice when you first buy the game, yet you think you still have the right to complain. We're supposed to be offering constructive criticism, bug reporting, etc, yet some people think they still have the right to complain about a game which is less than 25% ready. This is where data is collected so that problems will be easier to fix in the future. I'd expect Beta to come around halfway through next year minimum and it might, just might, start becoming more stable. /essay P.s. When a developer makes promises, they really aren't promises, they are targets and ofcourse with any testing, more problems can occur than expected and then push back anything planned. -
What I predict DayZ will achieve by the end of the year.
Pazzmon replied to TheWizard14's topic in General Discussion
Because in the Rezzed video, on a couple of slides, they are actually called zombies. anyway, what I would like to be confirmed by the end of the year or put in place. 1 - Fixed zombies, 2 - More zombies and hordes. 3 - Different strengths of zombies, fast and weak, slow and powerful, better animations on attacks, crawlers, lungers etc... 4 - Hunting 5 - Camping 6 - Less food spawns 7 - Slow vehicles, bicycles at most. 8 - Island cities 9 - Agriculture 10 - Cooking and recipes. 11 - Character spawns with severe hunger and thirst (not being able to run to the other side of the map without drink and food) 12 - Barricading 13 - More designs of houses, apartments etc... 14 - Character customization, beards, height, weight, hairstyles, 15 - Larger populated servers -
I do try and play good, I've had the opportunity a couple of times, but I've only shot someone once when being shot at first. I've helped or tried to help anyone I have come across. I've done this on any game I have played on, be it being a hero on Fable etc...

DeSync is the only thing I can't stand and I can't seem to get away from it. :-(

1.) log on as Administrator. 2.) start - run - type gpedit.msc 3.) expand "local computer policy" 4.) then expand "administrative templates" 5.) then expand "network branch" 6.) Highlight/double click the "QoS Packet Scheduler" 7.) on right window double click "limit reservable bandwidth" 8.) on setting tab check the "enabled" 9.) change "Bandwidth limit %" to 0 You're done.It would be a good idea to reboot after this. Basically it frees up the reserved bandwidth kept for the OS. Mine, was at a staggeringly high 80% which is no suprise as to why my DayZ experience was so poor.

Tried and tested method of improving DayZ connection.
Pazzmon replied to Pazzmon's topic in General Discussion
Not felt any or seen any just yet, will be testing out torrent speeds soon, not witnessed any system destability just yet, but will carry on testing this method for the next few days. I'm always posting on the forums so if I don't turn up in the next few days, I've brokken something. ;) -
What's the longest you've gone with a single DayZ character before dying?
Pazzmon replied to Speightinator's topic in General Discussion
Finally died after thirty two hours or so in game playing, managed to finally find an M4 Pristine all over apart from never finding a scope. Until after my respawn in Svet, typical. Had one of those general deaths, went to climb down a ladder and fell to the ground, whoever loots my body at the large airfield will be having a fun day. -

I'm on ADSL broadband, unfortunately high speed broadband will not be released in central Wales for a long time. :D -
I've seen in some videos that people are pressing something, that will bring up a list of people on the left hand side which includes the names of the people on the server? What is this button. :D
-
I'm probably in a minority here but I seem to be suffering a lot worse off from De-Sync after the new patch of 0.44, has anyone else had the same problem? It was so bad the only thing I could see was flashes on my game, thus knowing I was getting done in by a zombie.
-
They do, which is why I am wondering why my signal strength goes down when I am playing DayZ.
-
I wonder what the costs are on that...haha.
-
But what I have also seen today is that when I do load up DayZ my laptop bars go from five bars to four, does DayZ really take up that much bandwidth? Not even streaming videos at 1080p on YouTube does that and I'm playing this game on the lowest possible settings.
