Once you place down your fire place its lit and you've finished cooking follow these steps (using middle mouse): 1) Put out Fire 2) Remove Fireplace If you don't remove fireplace you wont have the option to make a new one until you reconnect! Think of it as a hidden item that needs to be picked up after you use it. If you do forget and are with a friend you can light their fireplace with your matches if he has none. Just remember to pack it away afterward!

I test drop something of low value like beans on the ground and then, if i can see it, use the gear function to place things from back pack onto the beans and then into inventory. Useful if you're in the middle of nowhere.

Please tell me people are going to need a toolbox to repair vehicles!

Just to mention that I find vehicles can cause issues with the loot/zombie spawning. If you approach an isolated building (think barn etc, not a city/town/village) at high speed (like 60mph) the game doesn't seem to spawn the loot/ zombies inside. I presume because you get there before they can be spawned compared to when the client checks the building?

I'm under the impression that the object is server side. That means it persists in the game world when you log out. If you want to keep your vehicle stash it away! I could be wrong though. Best to get rocket/devteam to tell you.

seen this aswell, mainly when i first log on. After first save it goes back to normal.

Just to let the devs know that vehicles aren't being saved on server restarts. Maybe vehicle database isn't booting up properly for server restarts?

I think NY servers are on a commercial host......... that's why testing is now on NY1

I'm a bandit at the moment. Last night I killed a survivor who surprised me in some woods (away from the coast). He didn't see me, but we bundled into each other less than 50 yards apart. If he'd seen me he would have killed me first. I found some painkillers and revolver ammo. He'll probably complain because he got killed without being able to see me. But I was very close. Should I have left him to go on his way? I could of, but if he'd seen me I'd be dead. So I shot him in self defense. Totally not his fault. Only wrong place wrong time.

There are numerous other places where high quality gear spawns regularly. They're just harder to find and have single/double spawns. The benefit of the airfield is about 20 spawns in a small area.
