I gear up like that if I want to go into a PVP server for some fun.

My point that I am trying to make is that it makes no sense for small falls to kill you like that when you can take multiple gunshots to the body and survive or run around the entire map nonstop and survive.

Wait wait you are complaining about dying from a fall? Oh you haven't experienced the Dayz hill slide death? So you are walking down a hill and your character slides and then a mysterious force shoots you up into the air like a rocket and you die on landing. How about the slide into rock death? Experience that one? So you go to climb onto a rock and instead of walking up on it your character slides into it where you die. Or how about the just walk up to a small boulder death? I have had that one too. I stopped playing this game 5 months ago, never going back to it. I bought an FNX45 Tac, my own damn ammo can, and now I just go to the range to practice for real life situations. Dayz is not fun enough to waste your real life time with.
Ive experienced the whole random slingshot your char through the air before. Not fun at all. If you stopped playing it and you are never going back to it then why are you wasting your time replying to a DayZ forum?

I need to rant. Every death I have had over many characters for months has been to being killed on sight, minus one from stair glitch. Maybe one or two was my fault, but every single other time is really frustrating. My characters last maybe 3 hours at the most. Some only 30 min. Here are my last few deaths. Fresh spawn in Electro, as I run down a road inland to avoid the city, I get sniped in the back. Spawn in a small town south of Berizino, get axed in the back of the head while picking up a can of food, not 10 minutes after spawn. Spawn in Cherno, get killed by a group toting M4's. Spawn in Berizino, grap some quick loot, and get shot in the back as I run away. Most of the people who kill me I never see, and those I do I get a quick glance before they put the bullet in my face, or a minute of running away from them when they have an axe. It's been like this for months. I have not had any friendly encounter for months. I don't think it's becuase I am unobservant. These experiences have made me look over my shoulder every minute with every life. I scan even the smallest of towns from a distance to make sure no one is there. There is nothing that can be done to solve this issue, and I know this is how DayZ is now. But when I get KOS'ed within half an hour of spawn 20 times in a row, it starts to seem uncanny. Is being this unlucky supposed to be this common? Not one person I have met in game has actully talked to me before trying to kill me. The ones that do are screaming obsenities at the top of their lungs. Rant over.
This happens to me everytime I play alone. Im really good at avoiding people in the game now because of it but, everytime I think about interacting with someone I will get shot. What I hate most is when they act friendly and kill you in mid sentence. To me it has gotten to a point now that if I am alone in this game rather you are friendly or not Im just going to shoot you if you come to close to me or I will avoid you all together now. Ive been playing since patch .37 and I have only met 4 people in this game that hasn't KoS'd me. Its rather pathetic people would rather straight up shoot you instead of talking or making it interesting by holding you up and such. If you wanna constantly shoot people without talking go play CoD.

This is on thing that needs to be fixed. Falls that would never kill someone in real life that kills you in this game is rediculous. I fall maybe 10 feet and Im dead.... This is something they need to fix. Break my legs? Sure I can live with that but, death?! Come on....

I don't know if it does this for everyone but, when I play the game and I go to grab something in my inventory it'll grab it and as soon as I start to slide it where I need it it is like I just let go of the item but I don't. It sometimes takes me 2 or 3 clicks just to get it where I want to move it. Does this happen for anyone else? Also, why in the hell are all the fruit and veggies invisible?

Got a Vybor spawn and Ive ran north of Novy so far and I have yet to find matches. We need to be able to make a fire with rocks and sticks if we can travel half a GD map without finding matches.... Those things need to be in abundance with how easy and quick you die of hypothermia in this game...

Server hopped 3 servers in Svet to avoid dying of starvation and still died. Way to easy to die of starvation in this so far.

Been playing exp for about 45 minutes today. First spawn by lonely mountain at that little light house. Dead of starvation by the time I get to the construction site in Cherno. Second spawn close to Berezino. Invisible zombie kills me within 2 hits. Was getting hit by it as I was running and dead. So far Im not liking it. The new running animation looks kind of silly IMO.

You really thought you where in control of the situation? You decided to be cocky and it got you killed.
Because if some 13 year old asshole comes and shoots you for no reason and talks to you like that you're going to be super friendly and offer your life. They're going to kill you if you are super nice or a dick right back. It doesnt matter to people like that.

OK! I figured it out and tested a few things. If you do not get the actual flames in the fire then it will not warm you up. I even managed to make my fire pit float and my guys eye level and it still warmed me up. So if you light a fire and it glitches and no flames are coming up then log out of the server and go back in if you know you're safe from zombies and d-bags. If the flames are there then you are good to go.

That must have been it. As soon as I got hypothermia I got pissed and left. Hopefully my dude isnt dead when I log back in lol. I had finally found a MP5 and a clip for it so when I seen the hypo I kinda got pissed cause Ive never been able to rid myself of it no matter what I wear or do.

You gotta just try and keep your distance as much as possible from them. Now that they cant see us 20 miles away anymore you can actually catch a few of them off guard with ether a first shot to the head or an axe blow. Just have to keep taking a good look around before running everywhere since allot of them only seem to notice whats in front of them.
Oh yeah, I can keep my distance from them pretty good. But, there is always that one D-bag zombie that ninjas his way behind you and smacks you upside the head ruining half of your stuff lol. My favorite way for a zombie to get me is when Im inside a building on the top floor while he is outside the closed door and still hits me and Im dead before I get down to him to save myself.

Only time I comply to people like you is if they are hacking and know who I am without me telling them or them checking my pulse. Other than that you'll either have to move along or go down fighting. Was a funny little story tho.

I was captured once and they force fed me fresh veggies until I puked. I didn't know if I should have been happy, mad or scared at the time...
Had some kids ask me nicely if they could take me hostage once. I think my AKM and drum mag and their lack of firepower made them behave nicely around me.
Other than those 2 times people either just shoot me in the face or just make me leave the area. Mostly they shoot me...

Ive been completely healthy, in the light green, with all the best stuff on and have been hit by a zombie and have it fracture my limbs in 1 hit. Pretty sure they found a way to take steroids or something. And I love the ones that you kill when they are 10 feet back but as they fall down dead still hit you. Must be magic or something lol.
What is everyones most BS way a zombie has hit them?

Wearing military clothes and in a sunny server and within 5 minutes of sitting next to a fire, that is outside, my guy had hypothermia.

I was under the impression that when it was released to stable that they were done with it on exp. and it worked and was ready for us to enjoy oh so much on stable. Yes, my fire was outdoors. Also you would think indoor fires would warm you up quicker because all that heat is trapped inside the room. I just can't wait for this game to be finished and I hope everything is in good working order by then. I do enjoy the game even though I get overly frustrated at things in it.

If that is the case, then I think it is obvious that they are trying to make military gear less accessible. IMO it is good, since it will make the process of acquiring the higher grade military gear a higher risk/reward adventure, meanwhile making intermediate gear more useful, throughout the game.
What a patronising attitude. Who the fuck are you to tell others, how they should be playing\enjoying their game?! Like it or not this an MMO, and the majority of people(who aren't boring) started as or tried roleplaying as bandits, without them it wouldn't be a proper post-apoc game and a boring one at that if bots would be the height of your challenge. and Dayz is great because it offers versatile servers\rules that cater to different people play styles and or restriction, don't like go hide yourself in private server.

Dumbest thing ever. Im fully geared up. Military clothes and a gorka helmet on my head sitting next to a fire with 4 logs in it and I got hypothermia. Has this happened to anyone else? The server Im in was also sunny. No rain and no clouds. I know this is a survival game but, I could seriously do with out getting sick after being outdoors for 5 to 10 minutes. That isn't realistic or fun at all. I love playing this game but, things like that shouldn't even be put in until its completely fixed and works.

Less adding and taking stuff away and more attention on bug fixing?
If you guys can't find good loot then you're doing it wrong. If you do not like traveling the map to find things then this game is def not for you. It takes at most 10 minutes to get to the mil. base north of Balota airstrip. You will find your high end gear there. Maybe you will get lucky like I did and the server you're on will be messed up and there will be cloned gear everywhere. Got my AKM and 3 drum mags and emptied about 5 30 round mags for extra ammo like that. Found a crap ton of high cap vests and other cool things. Changed servers and passed the shit out like I was Santa.
But, really. If you think PvP will go away even a little you are delusional. There are always going to be that one person or persons that play to kill. They're too stupid to do anything else. I just pray that when this game goes to Beta, if it even does, a lot of the issues are fixed. Because watching a zombie run through a closed door or a wall is retarded. Getting pummeled to death by a zombie that is outside while you're on the 2nd floor of a building is retarded. Walking up steps and your legs randomly breaking is retarded.
This can be a great and awesome game if they focus on more important things.

Making you travel west for military gear would be awesome. No AK's or anything in the east. I hope they hurry with fixing the NEAF cause that building looks pretty neat.

2 diff servers. 2 diff towns. 2 diff hackers. If you hear a M4 get the fuck out of there. Especially if he starts shooting and it jsut doesn't stop. Its not worth your time. Id stay away from full servers. Thats where they are.

The one I hate the most is when I clear an area that I have checked top to bottom and numerous times behind me and turn around when I think Im done and theres a dude with an AK in my face. Where the hell did he come from lol... Frustrating and makes me shit myself when it happens...
