Dude check out the videos of Merino Dayz on youtube and you'll understand alot better, its actually quite easy to regain blood and in my opinion is too fast, but its not my call to make. When you eat and drink enough you get to what merino calls regeneration 2 where you regen. 3 blood pr second and that is plenty fast. I wish it would take an hour or two to get to full health again so you didnt just heal in 15 minutes and go on another killing spree, but actually had to consider your health over a longer period of time choosing which battles you could partake in, thus also have an extended risk after being hurt. I would really like to see this in the future of Dayz.

Remove Zombies until they're fixed.
frozenjaws replied to Sir Schmoopy's topic in General Discussion
Ofc i completely agree that zombies shouldn't spawn in front of us, but! the patch before this one zombies didnt respawn at all.. they were all spawned in when the server started and rebooted, so its in fact the first ever patch that has respawning zombies. The goal (in this patch at least) wasn't to create an immersive enemy, it was just to make zombies respawn, and they do! They do exactly as they are supposed too do atm. That being said the zombies have a long way to go, lots of polish and heartache to be had. Also you have to keep in mind that everyone has their own opinion on what should be implemented first, you want immersion, jimmy wants guns, harold wants cars and dinky wants hunting. -

Well what do you need to hear other than "its going to be fixed in the future" If you want immersion go play a finished game, this game has the potential to be great in so many ways, but to get there you have to start somewhere. And honestly yes i am sick of people screaming alpha at each and every bit of constructive criticism, but i expect MANY MANY game breaking bugs to come and im fine with that, because its part of the process. Even people finding item dupes and wall glitches are theoretically helping improve the game. -

Well.. if i didnt its because its point is invalid.. But since i actually did read it, there are MANY reasons to keep the broken zombies in game, and there are many reasons why they are'nt pushing small hotfixes to their ai. For example zombies at the moment are half part annoying half part too easy, with plenty of posts claiming they are OP (xD) so they serve as a part of gameplay, also zombies are currently acting as a stress factor on the server, they needed to know that the server could handle respawning zombies and are experimenting with adding more, while they are also working on the zombies path finding simultaneously which also stresses the server. Zombies arent broken, because they were never complete. These placeholders for zombies ill refer them as, are like stone and dirt in minecrafts early days or phantom dancer with 20% dodge chance in LoL. -

How big of a freaking deal is this really? deal with the zombies that are chasing you with an axe and if you cant just run.. or get to a second floor wait for the zombies to pile in downstairs, sprint out of the door and when you turn around you have a little hackfest and the zombies are dead. I for one never cared much about the zombies being able to run through walls, its really not that big of a deal, why are they so hard to deal with?? Also i for one have seen mayor improvements in zombie pathfinding, already in the stable release (0.43) they try to navigate around corners the best they can and whatever little that's left of the corner they walk through. Just a reminder btw you're in a ZOMBIE apocalypse and personally i think zombies should be harder to deal with and in greater numbers since ZOMBIES trying to eat you should be a mayor concern and not a minor annoyance, when one you've heard from a mile away walks through the door hits you and makes your soft drinks damaged, be damn grateful 10-20 more arent following that one and need to be shot in the head. -
You continue to make me laugh :D Look clearly your intentions are pure and you have the heart of an angel, so ill level with you. I am in no way trying to disprove or deny or diminish your point, i am merely adding a bit of humorous context. Something your either too old or upset that a guy is arguing over the internet to see. Do i support hacking?? wow.. I feel like im in the dark ages, and you've just pointed at me and is shouting witch hahaha almost reminds me of another post on these very forums where people are discussing whether 3rd person mode looking around walls is cheating, and if anyone makes the point about it being IN the game, and theres already HARDCORE mode to fix it, accusations go through the roof.. but lets not get off topic Keep up the good work, i hope you save your jimmies!

Are The Private Hives Coming In Next Patch? [Discuss]
frozenjaws replied to VahidkinG's topic in General Discussion
Well actually basic loot respawning is in the current stable release. As well as a lot of fixed loot spawn spaces. Heres the link to a post about it. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/184852-sneaky-server-update-confirmed/ -
I mean cmon.. its just that you SPECIFICALLY said, " ohh ehh if he asks you where you are from, he's a hacker and he's trying to steal your identity.. obviously".. THAT is funny to me And Waaaat he with demand answers with threats?? THREATS?!?! ON THE INTERNET!?!? NO WAY! i better give him my social security number. Fine Mr. prof internet security... if that even is your real name?!?! i will use the god given SLIVER of basic reasoning that anyone and everyone should be able to muster not to get my identity stolen by a guy asking where im from.. (drops the mic and walks away)

hahahahaha or its one of the most common questions in the world. One or the other
-
Well basically i was running around the world of chernarus and came by a castle that overlooked a fairly big city and thought, wouldnt it be cool to see someone from up here, but when i had briefly looked through the streets and buildings being disappointed i didnt see anyone, i thought, ok now ill try and kill a zombie from up here, but i couldnt see any, and i had just come from the town so i knew zombies were all over. I looked in settings for a view distance to increase, but fell short on my ass, checked some forums and realized the dayz sa view distance was quite alot smaller then the one in the mod.. So i wanted to know, is it coming? Do we need more view distance? *Edit, i was unclear about what i wanted added, what i mean is that i want to see people and zombies render in all of the view distance.
-
Is a longer view distance being worked on?

Im not talking about super human vision, im talking about players and zombies rendering in in your view distance.. geez -
i almost feel like we can have a bad crossbow with bad damage and bad aim, if they implemented that people hit by the bolt would have to remove the bolt itself before they could bandage it, that would make sense realistically and in gameplay. Come on, tell me thats not a bad idea ;) hehe

So watch for things fading.. same problem mate, its movement and its easily picked up by our eyes. :/ i dont get why people whine so much about 3rd person mode when theres already HARDCORE mode which completely solves the problem. I would just hate for a bad "fix" like this one, which would be forced onto everyone..
-
Man i would not enjoy this at all, people freaking out about 3rd person, go play hardcore.. its THAT simple, besides people and zombies randomly appearing from nowhere after you've cleared a corner would be multiplied tenfold by this, and it would be easily exploitable!! just imagine standing at the side of a building tapping Q or E to see out for a split second, now just look for things popping in and out of view, thats a potential player, much more visible than before.. Summary ITS A BAD IDEA:
-
So ive never plaued the DayZ mod, but im really enjoying the SA, and i know its early early early stages BUT has there been talk about adding loot to the zombies?

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)

I really like the zombies, now just add more! -
I read a reply on one of the pending changelog posts, and a guy brought up a point that i thought was interesting. He was breaching the subject of barricades in DayZ and specifically how it would work on this hive server architecture, where your character will persist, but every server is different. When the time comes for base creating (in a long time) his point was basically that no base would ever be remotely secure, and maybe that`s by design. Obviously we don`t want impenetrable bases, but my point is this. What stops a player from spotting a base on one server, log out and join another, enter the vicinity of the base´ location and log back in. Does that not seem extremely cheesy and/or limiting to the game play that bases offer, i`m not saying that i would want to spend all my time building massive impenetrable bases, but i wouldn't mind playing around with it. Anyways i hope Bohemia has a plan, but i was just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts?
