Again, I don't want lasers, or Lambo's. But fuck your setting. If it's true that the devs support this narrow minded, game limiting mindset, well that just blows. When's the last time you heard a little, whining child, scream and cry things like "Fuck you", "Fucking die", and "Go fuck yourself". Badass kid, that one.

Freddy Kreuger gloves are stupid just because they're stupid. But a Rat Rod... fuck yes. Please. And yes, I'm mad bro. I'm getting so sick of hearing that shit (already gave example, don't need to give more). I can understand not having Lamborghinis and Laptops, because come on... but a Samurai sword... that's almost necessary for any good zombie game. A nuclear plant that has melted down due to the no maintenance after everyone turned into zombies... that's DOPE. (there's another thread on this, with similar nay sayers) Basically any and all guns... there's NO reason not to have every single gun the devs have the time and effort to model and code into the game. People who say M4s and any other weapon shouldn't be in game because it's not authentic to the region should go live in the region Chernarus is based on, there you go... 100% authenticity.

Yes, without an in-game penalty. If we're going for realism, the more you kill, the more hardened you'd become to killing, not the other way around. The soldiers who have killed the most people with their M4s and AKs, don't have bad aim because of their guilt. They have the best aim because of the practice, and no guilt becuase of the desensitizing effects of repeated murder. An in-game penalty to KOS would destroy the best part of DayZ IMO.

I love this. Instead of making forced stats/rules where KOS players and bandits stats are changed the more they kill innocents, this actually leaves it up to the player behind the screen. If you're the kind of person who just LAUGHS and absolutely enjoys seeing these pixel rendered gruesome deaths, and laughs when they beg for their lives, it won't affect you at all and you can keep KOSing as much as you want. While at the same time if you legitimately feel bad when the player can still speak through his mic and beg you to bandage him up, please just take all his ammo and his M4, just don't kill him, etc.... then maybe you'll change your ways and be a good guy. No, no no. This is the exact opposite of the OPs point. This is exactly what would make me demand my money back if they implemented this.

Fuck you. I'm gonna start "Fuck you"ing everyone who gives this stupid-ass, bullshit reason for not having 'X' in the game. "oh there's not nuclear reactors in Chernarus (a FUCKING FAKE, FICTIONAL, location)" "oh waaa no that can't be in game because there's no possible way a samurai sword could ever be in Chernarus ( a FUCKING FICTIONAL LOCATION)" "oh screw that idea we can't have Humvee trucks because those are american and wouldn't be in Chernarus in real life (THERE IS NO CHERNARUS IN REAL LIFE) Please tell me the last time you saw a zombie in rural russia... Go fuck yourself. Fucking die you game limiters.

Running on rough terrain, sprained or broken ankles, boots and making adequate light useful/essential...
notaqua replied to Roshi (DayZ)'s topic in Suggestions
Absolutely needs to be in game. When I first started and was finding different boots/shoes, etc, I was wondering if these military and combat boots have any difference from athletic shoes and running shoes. So far I haven't noticed that there is, but there definitely should be. Combat boots should be slower but stronger and offer more protection. Sneakers should leave your feet and ankles vulnerable but make you nice and quick, get tired slower, etc. Hiking boots go right in the middle, low-top vs high-top hiking boots offer an even more refined selection. DOOOOO it. Edit: Oh I forgot to add that I think the injury chance should start with a base of very low, i.e... let's say Running full speed on the road, in high boots, during the day, looking straight ahead = 0% chance of accident Full speed in sneakers, on the road, during day = 0.1% Full speed in high boots, in the roughest woods, looking straight ahead, during the day = 0.2% Full speed in sneakers, in roughest woods, looking ahead, during day = 0.5% Then, darkness and free-look increase those numbers, with darkest night-time adding a huge %. -
Spawn with an M4? Seriously? And this other guy... Easy, Normal, Hard, etc... keep your stuff when you die? These are the worst ideas.

I think in a survival situation, I would try to get ahold of as much military gear as possible, to help me survive. What's with all the people wanting a "no guns" lame ass, civilian only DayZ??
-
Realism, yes. Because real life snipers who wear ghillie suits are naked underneath.
-
I know, I know, I said I understand that this game is meant to be realistic. How about make the bug noises just a little further away from your ears, so it doesn't give me the same feeling as an actual bug behind my head? Compromise here?

If by BF, you mean any Battlefield game... there has never, ever, in any BF game... been dual wielding of anything. Did you mean that horrible Call of Doody garbage game that little kids play?

The Community's List of Suggested Weapons for Dayz Standalone (Version: 1.29)
notaqua replied to alexeistukov's topic in Suggestions
You know what's getting old? People complaining about how this or that gun wouldn't be in Chernarus because it's not native, wasn't there in real life blah blah fuck off. The more guns the better. I want every and all gun in existence, in all my games. I am fine with saying no to certain guns because you want the devs to put time into other, better guns first. But everyone who keeps saying certain guns shouldn't be in the game because they're not in the FICTIONAL land of Chernarus in real life (oxymoron?) are idiots. And I hate them. -
+1 Too many M4 mags, not enough pistol mags. It took me a couple days to find an FNX mag.
-
That's what you read, yes. And I think what Byrg said is probably right, so I'm SOL

I don't know how many people will support this, but it bothers me enough to ask for it. Please put an option in the sound settings to disable the "buzzing" sound of bugs flying behind your ear in the game. I understand this is part of realism and everything, but it's already really hurting my enjoyment of the game. I sit inside all day being an uber-nerd PC gamer because I DON'T want to hear bugs flying in my ears. The game sound effects are realistic enough to drive me crazy just like a real bug would buzzing in my ears. Nobody likes that. And the worst part is, the sounds are driving me crazy already, and it's winter now. The windows are closed and all the bugs are dead, so I know that they're ingame sounds and not actual bugs... come summer, I don't know if I'll be able to play the game. I will be constantly paranoid and freaking out over whether or not it's an actual bug this time. Call me a girl, IDGAF. Please give me the option to disable that sound effect. Would be nice, thanks.
