The random and constant noises in this game annoy me.
LimeMobber replied to Acher0n's topic in General Discussion
Like desync? Game crashes? Visual glitches? Dozens of current hacks? Phasing zombies? Let me know when I get to something that is a priority. Because right now I do not see anything being fixed. All I see is problems being ignored while the player base is mollified with various cookies like new gear and towns. -
Poll - Why aren't people playing hardcore mode
LimeMobber replied to TimF's topic in General Discussion
Why don't people play hardcore? Hmmm.... 1. Field of view is inferior to actual human field of view. 2. Human beings can pose and peek in far more positions than the three generic ones the game allows. 3. Third person helps to compensate for the fact that the game thinks my ears stuffed with cotton and zombies are actually wraiths that pass through walls. -

Out of curiosity, what is a priority? -
Gaming hackers are just people with self esteem problems who revel in the anonymity of the internet and the power a few download programs (generally written by people smarter than them) give them in a game. There really is nothing you can do. As game code evolves the hackers evolve. Eventually, maybe, if DayZ gets far enough they will tighten up the security enough that this wont be a problem. Most of the hacks are fairly simple to combat. The server should be constantly checking things and deleting all gear then kicking the player once we are out of Alpha. Until then I hope you one day get to do what I did. I met someone who bragged about how he cheated at games, he was a "hacker" as he put it, though he admitted that all he did was download other peoples hack programs. At that point I verbally humiliated him in front of everyone that was there.

You are a douche bag.

The more things they fix the more things they break.

Now that the M4 is super rare can we please adjust the dispersion on it so the weapon is no longer utter crap beyond use as a close range bullet hose. I am fairly sure that of all the guns in the game the M4 should rank as the single most accurate.

To people who think kiling bambis is wrong check this out
LimeMobber replied to Slyguy65's topic in General Discussion
I am not justifying, yet I actually am. You sir are full of horse you know what. -
Barrier sounds stupid. I find a building that is safe, I log out, I come back the next day to play more. Two players have 'barricaded' near my logon point. So I get kicked to some random spot that may be totally unsafe and exposed?
-
Are you asking if in a game where 99.999% of the danger of death comes from other players whether random sounds that should only be associated with player actions being played constantly is a serious issue? Yes it is a serious issue.
-
Yes yes yes, ghosters need to die. But..... Camping bandit trolls also need to die. I am so conflicted, who do I root for?

If H1Z1 will have squads and clans at early access why ...
LimeMobber replied to Demonio (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Special team only gear for identification is lame. If you want to put on some special piece of clothing to identify your little boy band then it better be something bog standard that anyone can find and put on. Because I want to be able to take it off one of your cooling corpses, wear it, and have fun trying to hunt down the rest. -
Experimental brings us hunting, do you want to know what this means?
LimeMobber replied to hannibaldaplaya's topic in General Discussion
I LOVE the arrogant whining threads from the super hardcore players that make up maybe 5% of the player base and want the game tailored to them. You make me LOL over and over again. The revs want to make money, catering the game to a very small minority is just plain dumb. -
Oh great, another pointless thread about gore when the revs can barely make progress on improving the game's core functionality.

Will not be playing again until fire axe is un-nerfed
LimeMobber replied to DAUFvice's topic in General Discussion
I will count myself as lucky then because I have never had this happen while carrying pistols or knives. -

LimeMobber replied to DAUFvice's topic in General Discussion
Dump the fire axe, get yourself a combat knife and slice and dice the zombies. The knife uses the punch animation so its very easy to aim, even when its not a kill shot to head if often knocks them to the ground. And as the added benefit you can keep in a pocket and not look blatantly armed like someone with a axe or machete over their shoulder. -
Is there an ETA on ambient sounds ?
LimeMobber replied to TheLast-StaR's topic in General Discussion
The noise seriously needs to be fixed. The last few weeks my audio when playing is an endless loop of zombie noises when none are around, pop cans being opened when I am alone, guns being reloaded. I get this constant mash of useless sounds that do not in any way match with what is going on. So when someone really is around the corner and drinks a can of pop I have no way of knowing it is real or another fake sound. -
Third person exploits reached a new low today
LimeMobber replied to liquidsnake's topic in General Discussion
He was firing inaccurately from behind visually imparing but non-protective cover and he got lucky. You guy with the Mosin could have just as easily fired straight into the center of the bush a couple times and probably scored a hit or two, but instead he waited for the perfect shot and never got it. -
You are fully geared, would you shoot these people?
LimeMobber replied to leefriendfield's topic in General Discussion
Nothing you said changes a thing. You hunted someone down for 15 minutes because he was not playing the way you think the game should be played. Then AFTER you spent 15 minutes hunting down someone who was shooting quite a bit you decided that it was too risky to let him run around near you with a gun and you used that justification to murder him. WTF did you think you were going to find when you chased down someone that was shooting? You murdered him because he had a gun and was near you. DUH! YOU knew he had a gun you were hearing him shoot for 15 minutes, and YOU put yourselof in close proximity to him. Did you think you were going to find him in one of the apartments watching the latest Rambo DVD with the volume turned too loud? -
To operate outside safely requires lights which make you a target, if you dont want to be a target you need night vision scopes and goggles. If those are added then they will make it insanely dangerous for anything to travel at night as the pussy sniper, now equiped with night scopes have an even easier time picking people off.

Third person exploits reached a new low today
LimeMobber replied to liquidsnake's topic in General Discussion
How is this third person exploiting? He pretty much blind fired with an automatic weapon and won. Go look up some war footage. It is very easy to find people lifting their weapons over their head from behind some sort of barrier and blindly unloading with their AK47 in the general direction of the enemy. Game wise he did the same thing to you. Sure it was wasteful, he probably blasted away with most of a clip and he probably ruined most if not all of his gear, but he won. This actually makes me wish they added a feature in DayZ that allowed you to point your weapon around the corner of a building and blindly blast away, to keep it from being used to cheat I would make this only work when you are in third person. -
Why do some players do everything possible to avoid interaction?
LimeMobber replied to mithrawndo's topic in General Discussion
First off a simple nod can affirm that, unless you want to say that the Supreme Court has decided that MUTE people cannot invoke the right to remain silent. Second off the example of the UK means nothing. In the UK you are a subject, in the USA you are a citizen. There are actual differences in meaning to those two words. -

I have a ton of choices depending on who I am. 1. I can log out and find a server where I am not being hounded by wannabe commandos using teamspeak. 2. I can wait you out litterally until I run out of food, the server reboots, you leave, or you try to breach. 3. I walk out to be your plaything and hope you dont poison me or break my legs and let me suffer for who knows how long until I finally die and respawn. 4. I sit waiting and teamspeak with my buddies who murder you and your buddies from behind. 5. I can sprint out at top speed and hope my totally random act catches you three off guard so you miss. Shall I continue? Now you can say choice #1 is cheap and cheating and breaks suspension of belief. But the fact that you are pinning me in a house with multiple windows by blocking the only door the game allows one to use just as much breaks suspension of belief. The best option, the one I would pick in real life would be to quietly climb my ass into the attic, close it behind me and go to sleep. By the time I woke up you would have long since gotten bored and left. ;-) -
Get off your high horse TROLL. First person is much more limited than human vision and leaves you very vulnerable to zombies that can run straight through walls at you. So stop your lying (yes I am calling you a liar) about how you never ever playing in third person.

Let me further translate, you were a JERK who methodically hunted someone down for 15 minutes and shot them dead for not playing DayZ the way YOU think he should play. Is that better?
