Well it is completely screwed up. My hunger was RED, said I was starving, and would not move as I ate and it killed me.

So you had to eat enough food to make your stomach rupture to get energized.

Been playing since the update and the game is not an improvement. 1. Spawns have been moved around but I have already died respawned both to being punched by another fresh spawn and attacked by a zombie before my screen has become visible. 2. Hopping zombies still attack through walls and often hide within them while attacking. 3. zombie pathfinding is designed in such a way that being clever is pointless. Run into a building, close the door, open a different door and the zombies instantly know the new path to get you. So much for trying to be clever. 4. Melee weapons still hit nowhere near where you are aiming. 5. Running over a pier instantly soaks you as if you were swimming in water. 6. Large random lag spikes still abound. 7. Oh and it took about 5 minutes for sniper pricks to rearm and return to their perches. Yep still very weak.

Rubberbanding is still there, though not as bad as it has been in the past, at least as far as I have seen so far. I don't know if that is an improvement or just me not being in the right place to be rubbberbanded worse.

Here is another persistent fail. I am now 5 for 5 if a zombie hits me while I am near a wall I have been pushed through that wall. Part of me says just quit the game, but a part of me also says stick around, check in on occasion and make damn sure that the people who took our money deliver a real game eventually to replace this barely above vaporware POS.

Nope, I am merely assuming that "improvement" actually doesn't mean "make things worse". Also have found that sections of the map have been demarked from loot. I am not saying they were looted before I got there, there is no loot. This is pretty obvious since there is not even the normal useless loot laying around that you can find in areas that have been picked over by dozens of players.

That is what I am often doing. Run in a house, run out second door, close it, run to first door to close it, before I get there they instantly pathfind out the open door. Oh and on top of it doors are now glitch so if I run into a house, dance around to get zombies inside and then run out same door, half the time or more the door will not close fast enough and one of more zombies will make it out AND hit me while I am closing the door.

No, no, no, no, no! <Insert insulting rant about this is Alpha> The zombie does not respawn at all, this is just the lame work-around the developers have to simulate the zombie hordes that are wandering around. Unfortunately I have seen little to nothing that suggests the developers are ever going to get to a point where they have optimized the code well enough to actually handle hordes of zombies. Zombie hordes as they should be would be the as many if not more than all of the zombies on an entire server at one time.

So you posted a topic to show that you are so pathetic that the best you can do is kill someone who is defenseless?

Even if implemented it would mean nothing. Get me a decent amount of ammo and with the endless spawning zombies I could rack up a massive number of zombie kills in 15 minutes that would make me rank as a saint. Heck even without ammo I could do the same using a axe in just a few minutes longer.

The argument against is that it is totally outside the reality of the game. You ask me I say I have killed 300 zombies and 5 humans. How do you know I am lying or not?

That is pretty sad, but also different. You were shooting at a random computer created façade. When you are torturing or raping or whatever in DayZ you are doing it to basically the avatar/character/whatever of another living person another player who is then the helpless target. Yeah, I do not need that level of "realism" in my game thank you.

I know. I am a cruel and horrible person and no quarter should be given. That being said topics like this annoy me. The whole "it is just a video game" argument doesn't do it for me. Torture is torture. Should DayZ add a way to commit rape too since it is just a game? Should someone create a MMO set in WW2 and you can chose to be a German guard at a Extermination Camp? It is just a game you know.

I make them read stupid topics like this one on the forum.

I would be curious to know if charging people to play the alpha actually has improved the release of any game or increased the change that a game is released compared to normal game development trends.

The speed, or lack of speed in developing this game would not be nearly so annoying if we all didn't know that Rocket and Team collected a SHIT TON of money by "alpha-releasing" this game and running to the bank.

When I want to read books I read books, I do not log into video games to do that. As for the rest of what you said, that takes all of about 3 minutes and it rains for a lot longer than this. So try again with your epic fail at "immersion".

Just happened yesterday. Chased by a zombie while bleeding into the Piano House and then upstairs. Turn around and finally kill the zombie and then start to bandage myself. Now my character is about 15 minutes old, has a baseball bat, upgraded pants that are now ruined and a checked shirt that is badly damaged. Just as I finish bandaging two guys charge up the stairs one with an axe the other with a crowbar, both are wearing motorcycle helmets. I am still kneeling and as I stand I swing at axe guy. hit him straight in the face, helmet goes to ruined and he goes down never to get back up. After that it is a five minute dance with the other guy with me occasionally also smashing the guy who is down in the head, he never gets back up so don't know if dead or just very unconscious. After 5 minutes that see my clothing get ruined and my opponents gear get also ruined he finally knocks me unconscious and then kills me. Yep, I lost a 15 minute old character and two guys get all of their gear ruined, one of them may have been killed, both were bleeding quite a bit, and their reward for this epic victory in this ambush? One worn out baseball bat. ;-)

Oh please not those trolls Jam acts all badass constantly and all he does is bandit people who have been spotted and tracked by his posse. It is easy to be so tough when you have a group of people in various buildings around you constantly feeding you info. Then on top of it he is a foul mouthed little punk who talks all tough to his victims like they deserve it when he himself is a KOS bandit 99% of the time. Kiwo is no better when the mouth starts running. At least Youtubers like Lefty will livestream their games and show you when they die as opposed to mouth like Jam who edit their videos to only show the size of their e-penis with slow motion shots of them "epic kills". As for Frankie, I don't get the whole hacking hate. The little bit of evidence I saw is rather easily explained by "dude it is story" and he stitched together different sections of videos to create the story. Then there was the German streamer he killed, ohhh like no one has ever had lag and desync let someone kill them and walk away when they should have been dead.

I always kind of assumed that zombies hit so hard because part of being a zombie includes their adrenal gland going nuts when they see and attack a human.

I don't see the convenience. But then if I can get the M4, AKM, or AK101 then I do not bother with a sidearm. Once I have two or more magazines then that plus two full stacks of loose ammo is more than enough for me. Now if they changed it so ammo cases could hold magazines it would be a different story. As it is I would rather have a couple yellow cases that I can throw a magazine as well as loose ammo in.

I find them on occasion but I find them fairly pointless. You have to be delusional if you think you will live long enough to use up all the ammo one of them can carry. Well let me revise, you can live that long by avoiding all other players, in which case you will not use up the ammo. On the other hand if you go into the big PVP zones bad luck will eventually get you before you go through any really large amount of ammo.

How long will it take before hackers develop some tool that lets them auto teleport to the nearest tent for easy loot.
