In the mod the player would scream when breaking his or her leg, I would love to see screaming like this back, maybe if zombies hit you allot you might scream or something simllar, or maybe your lsst breath before dead by zombies or unconscious by zombies would be a loud scream? it would be cool if you could hear the scream in the distance till around 350m or something (ofcourse hearing more echo/reverb in the distance etc.) this would make the game more scary and less isolated and alone, just imagine walking through the woods at night and hearing a scream in the distance. Would also be cool if some zombies when shot would fall on the ground and scream alerting other zombies (not always though just sometimes like at a rare occasion) Ps : please tell your friends over at Project Argon that id love a map where theres like a huge indoor musea or warehouse, something almost completely indoors, maybe one team has to defend it etc.

1. How Bow Damage Works Bows aren't really weapons that kill someone the moment the arrow hits someone (with allot of exceptions ofcourse) whether it be hunting or going to war so the amount of damage a bow does right now in dayz for only the hit is reasonable to me atleast, and yet the bow is so weak that to most players its not a viable weapon Proposition: Instead of the classic Hit > Dead a Bow should work like this : Hit > Bleed-out > Dead However in real life you cant just pull out an arrow, so what I propose is that either the player pulls out the arrow which will create a big wound lower the bone level drastically and hightens the shock damage, the player cannot bandage till he or she pulled out the arrow. Now if you dont want those negative effects than someone with pliers can remove the arrow safely. although arrows leave small wounds, 2-3 arrows will bleed out a player in a few minutes. a shot in the leg will instantly break the leg. The Bow Sway should be slightly controllable by holding either CRTL or Right-MouseButton (MouseButton(1)); Extra: Has been suggested to death but with a good bow system we also def. need a positional melee system like M&B or a melee system like Chivalry both are easy to implent in most engines and are fundemental for both PvE and the more frowned upon PvP

Honey which was called Liquid Gold by the Greeks was important for Human Civilization and the Medical World. Did you know that Honey has amazing properties that not many other substances have? No? Then lets get educated and not only learn the properties of Honey but also how they would fit in a setting like DayZ Standalone. 1. Wound Healing Before Pennicillin was invented honey was often used to disinfect a persons wound, not only keeping the wound clean but also speeding up the healing of said wound ''Honey is a natural antibiotic that can act both internally and externally. It can be used as a conventional treatment for wounds and burns by disinfecting wounds and sores from major species of bacteria such as methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). A 2005 study published in the British Journal of Surgeryfound all but one of patients who suffered from wounds and leg ulcers showed remarkable improvement after applying a topical application of honey.'' ´´Honey has been utilized for its medicinal properties for over 2,000 years and continues its legacy as a multipurpose health aid.´´ So in DayZ i´d like to see pots of honey that either spawn in mason jars in houses or can be collected from bee hives, when said honey is applied to Rags or a Bandage the blood levels will go up faster by 15% IF the player is both Energized and Hydrated. 2. Food Preservation ´´“All honey is antibacterial, because the bees add an enzyme that makes hydrogen peroxide,” said Peter Molan, director of the Honey Research Unit at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.´´ If rotting will ever be added into DayZ I think that any food covered in Honey should be able to last for double the time than it normally does, this mostly applies to fruit and meat though. 3. Honey as a food source because duh, its honey. 4. Increase athletic performance. Ancient Olympic athletes would eat honey and dried figs to enhance their performance. This has now been verified with modern studies, showing that it is superior in maintaining glycogen levels and improving recovery time than other sweeteners. If a stamina system will be added to DayZ, eating Honey could increase the recover time for awhile. -
If they do this, than we definetly need diving and half-sunken ships that can be explored with diving gear, and maybe some oil platforms

Ill keep it short to not waste peoples time, if im standing next to a table and drop my rifle, the rifle should lay on the table, same goes for open closets, and any low ground furniture. Furthermore id like some precise object placement, this could easily be done with raycasting, how this would work is you hold a weapon in your hand you point at a table, you click on a button the raycast fires, and the player places the item on the object, this way you could for example stack cans of beans on a table

Actually, similar to how many game engines like Unity works, the buildings ingame are ''prefabs'' what this means is that they made one building, made this building into an editable object aka prefab, so now if they would lets say place 10 firestation buildings, but once placed they want to add a table to the firestation and paint it black, they would change the prefab and voila all 10 buildings would change! This way, all they would have to do is add ''triggers'' around the furniture if : player enters trigger and drops item, item lays on furniture. } else will lay on ground as normal } } the raycast ''look somewhere and place it'' part can already be done similar to how they implented throwing objects, with a simple animation that will do the following: lets say the button for item placement while in hand is H. H gets pressed > animation gets played of player reaching out their hand to the raycast> item ''drops'' at the end of the hand with force/rigidbody so that it has gravity > if object stops moving disable force. ( if velocity = o)

so ducks are coming soon, it would be awesome if they would spawn in big groups in lakes and when a player approaches the ducks fly away quaking, and the sound goes a kilometer far, so people could hear ducks in the distance, look around and see a flock of ducks fly away.. theres a player!

before they are going to focus on the survival aspect they first need to get the basics right, like as you said the melee system (will come with new character controller) aswell as the new sound system (A3 Eden sound system) and better zombie spawning (all 3 are worked on right now) after that it will be a much bigger priority, I would love some more survival aswell, although scavenging should always stay an option -

So I know this movement will drastically change, for example : the developers want to stop people from being able to turn 90 degrees while running, however I say lets keep that in But, Make people fall when they suddenly make a 90degree turn when running full speed to the left to the right, just a simple ''controlled ragdoll animation'' (similar to gta's falling, where animation and ragdoll is intertwined) also getting hit by a melee while running would make the person fall on the ground

1. Quarantine Camp I always wondered why do all freshspawns wear the same clothing? For lore based explanation id love to see an overrun Quarantine camp, with fresh spawn clothing,dead freshspawns on hospital beds etc. Explaining that all survivors came from Quarantine camps and were the only survivors as they are immune. 2. Zombie Survivors No, this does not mean I want my character to turn into a zombie on death, as characters are immune, However id love to see some superrare zombies (maybe 5 per server) with gear on them like a backpack on their back, a mosin on their back and in a survivor-ish clothing style, because people didnt just turn overnight and Im sure there were survivors that werent immune and eventually turned because of the virus but still got their gear on them, people could even make it their job to hunt all 5 down on a server. 3. End game : Craftable Helicopters Also known as Build-it-yourself-Helicopters and is something that gets done in Germany by Helicopter Enthusiasts allot, where one builds a 1 player helicopter, ofcourse these parts are extremely rare and can only be found on Balota and NE- Airfield. Even needing to find a book to be able to do this would be plausible. These helicopters where also in the Mod and thus would be fitting in Chernarus. 4. mimicing zombies I would love a ''F'' button, that would do a zombie idle animation (so if you move it stops) this way players might think you are a zombie and not see you as a threat (espacially if youre a zombie in the distance) ofcourse you would need a fitting outfit and no backpack/weapons (firefighter,doctor, etc) or you will be recoqnized, so its not that exploiting, would create more use of civilian clothing aswell as a way for bambis to ''hide'' in the open for geared players running into town. 5. Melee system 1. short stabbing weapons, should just stab but have zero defense and no blocking 2. Long swing weapons (bat, axe, sledgehammer) should be able to swing in 4 directions, you can choose a direction by holding the mousebutton and dragging your mouse in the direction up = raise above head swing left = swing from the left right = swing from the right down = a stabbing motion. 6. ingame wrecks that need to turn into real working vehicles: Police car: Hippievan/s1203 (already confirmed, in files) 7. zombies that search for players (with new animations) if a zombie lost you it will try to find you back, by walking around in a crouched animation, it will look in houses aswell as try to find a logical way that you went to. 8. weapons shouldnt spawn pristine and weapon cleaning kits should be rare will reduce KoS, aswell as increase the use of cleaning kits 9. Changes to captivity 1. unconscious players can be dragged. aswell as dead zombies 2. handcuffed players can be forced into vehicles 3. players can hide knifes on the back of their leg with ductape, (can be used to quickly get out of rope restrains) 10. Intelligent and raycast object dropping You're dropping a rifle while standing next to a table? the rifle will be placed on the table instead of on the ground, same goes for shelfs, bars etc. Raycast object dropping: being able to press a button that would drop the item to wherever you are pointing while in your hand, for example : i look at a shelf, or a table? the item will be placed where I look, with ofcourse temporary velocity (like throwing does) so that you cant magically stick items to walls.

''The White Screen Bug - Will I never be able to play DayZ again?'' so I know that I would probably never be able to join a 0.60 experimental server, however I would like to go to the main menu and see if fps increased at all, However the following happened, I press the blue play button on steam and Battleeye comes up for a second, no errors, no files being blocked and dissapears again, after a few seconds both battleeye and DayZ.exe appear which seems fine however then the infamous message that every PC user hates to see pops up, the screen turns completely white and the message reads ''DayZ has stopped Working.'' Things I tried: - Update my windows to latest version - Updating my drivers (except for my monitor driver because it doesnt support it, good job AMD) - Remove all or add launch parameters - start up dayz in compatible modes, or without compatible modes - start up DayZ from the main directory instead through steam - start DayZ from safe mode - Start dayz with all programs closed but steam through task manager. Eventually (partly because my PC is an absolute mess) I made a backup and reset my windows, leaving me with a clean version of Windows 7, but still no luck :/ I have played this game with around 27-31 fps in electro and 36-46- fps in forests since day one and never had any real complaints. this is my outdated gear: - DirectX11 - Windows 7 64 bit - Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5470 - 4GB of RAM - AMD Phenom II P960 Quad Core Processor with 1.8 GHZ (4CPU's) Notebook model : K52Dr Direct X functions: DirectDraw acceleration = on Direct3D acceleration = on AGP = on Note: dxdiag did not find any problems. If this is just an experimental bug is something ill see in the future, I really hope it is as I have enjoyed this game since the dayz our bodies could do strange positions and everyone had m4s and mosins. sorry forgot to include that I already did that aswell -
so I think allot of people think just like me that modding will ruin the game, spawning servers like ''3000+ cars in every town'' or servers that add 500 extra military rifles with nightvision scopes etc. this is why I think modding should be regulated to maps and clothing only, and when your map is done, you can send it to the developers and if they like the mod, they will put it in the workshop which other players can download from.

I suppose that could be the case, but can you understand that I feel sceptical about that because if we take DayZ Mod as a Stichpröbe/example or Arma 3 for that matter than this wont be the case :/ -

unmodded servers went extinct in the mod, what they nowadays call ''vanilla mod'' are servers with added buildings, cars and being able to choose your spawnpoint, so why wouldnt this happen to SA, I dont mind modding in singleplayer though, just not in multiplayer
