Fresh spawns are just Bandits/Heros without gear.... I've never heard a bambi admit to being a "bandit." They're all "Friendly...friendly...friendly." Shit, it's like everyone is Pope John Paul III till they got a rifle in their hands. 10 minutes ago that "fresh spawn" might have been jacking bambis from a window in electro by the dozen. It's all a matter of perspective, my friends. ;)

I don't get it. LRS attaches to the Mosin. M4 has it's own different optics and flashlight. Sidearm has it's own optics and flashlights. They're not all universal which from what I gather appears to be the original argument.... So what, the PU scope attaches to multiple weapons? With the right tools and little duct tape I could effectively attach a PU scope to a home made bow and arrow. What's the difference? Am I missing something?

I thought it was going to be a MOAB?

What he said.... Happened to me yesterday. There's absolutely no indication of this except if you log out and log back in you may hear an "arrgghhhh" just as your character loads into game. Splint or morphine fixes this... I'm assuming this is a known bug and it just hasn't been fixed yet??

That Zeds now 1-shot ruin vests and jackets? It's like they don't appreciate our fashion sense...."brainsssss.....brainsss....woah human, that looks terrible BAM!!! RUINED......okay /fixt.....brainnnssss....braiinnnnnnnnnnssssss." So annoying. I'm now forced to snipe people in the kneecaps to avoid ruining their vests....

Does this "new character" not have the ability to run to where the OLD "completely different" character's corpes is to loot the body? What does one have to do with the other?
-
Hrm....I'm starting to question myself. Maybe I just got really unlucky and am making assumptions.... It literally happened 3 times in a row. Bunch of zombies swarm me, 1 of them manages to hit me one time before I can axe them down, and each time I look and my vest and/or tssko jacket is completely ruined along with some of the contents inside.... Maybe it was a fluke but it happened 3 times in a row and each with just 1 shot.
-
Sorry if this wasn't clear. I'm annoyed that I now have to take special care when killing my victims as to not ruin their jackets/vests because im finding myself more often in need of them due to the new zombies ruining my own.
-
They're one-shot ruining clothing now, you are incorrect. Maybe you're just so uber skilled and never get hit by zombies like you just said, so maybe you haven't realized it yet. No, they don't hit me several times, they're lucky if they hit me once but that's all it takes now. And yes, I can snipe people in the legs. :) Headshots are more risky as sometimes the bullet drop causes chest hits and I HATE ruining vests if I don't have to.

That's awesome.

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
DMack replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
I sometimes get shot in the chest and it doesn't ruin my vest.....but I get whacked by a zombie one time and my vest get's ruined. Along with my jacket and parts of the contents inside.... Is it possible to downtweak the damage that the zombies are doing just until you've figured out what to do with the respawning, speed, pathing, wall hacking, etc? I literally went through 3 assault vests in the matter of an hour and 15 minutes just from Zombies hitting me through walls or spawning on top of me. It's just kind of annoying and assault vests are not repairable via the sewing kit.... -

Is it really necessary that zombies 1-shot destroy assault vests and jackets? Seriously???? -

They hit like trucks now, aggro from too far away. They ruined 2 vests and 2 TSKO jackets yesterday, each with 1 shot. ... Also, combining the zombie patch with the "combat logging fix" results in a lot of unfair and unecessary PVE deaths. It's causing people to log back in dead or unconcious because zombies are aggroeing out of nowhere when you're seemingly safe. Also, you need to remember that this is a game. The phone rings, the doorbell rings, people still need to take a whiz and make coffee, etc.....With the way the zombies aggro and do damage now a lot of angry deaths are going to occur when you put a 30 second timer on logout....Internet connections get lost, etc....There's lots of ways people are unjustly dieing. I wish there was a way to conteract combat logging that doesn't involve getting people killed by zombies. A lot of the time it's happening while not even trying to log out but drop dropped connection, game crash, etc.... -
Fix accuracy before introducing wind. I think we're on the same page.

I dont understand why there is no AUTO RUN KEY!!!

I saw the title of this thread. 16 pages? Autorun button FTW. -
It already is a chore. You have to find the gear, specifically an undamaged long range scope...... Making it difficult by making it unrealistically inaccurate is not the right way to go about it.
-
I'd really just like to see guns made more accurate left to right, particularly sniper rifles. If you have all pristine gear and have taken the time to accurately dial in your scope + hold breath before firing then I feel like bullets should stay true at just about any range within the stated range of effectiveness for that weapon. (Assuming you've set your scope to the correct distance or manually compensated for bullet drop by aiming higher or lower) I'm okay with bullet drop, it's the left/right inaccuracy that bugs me. Putting in wind would be a bit much. What's next, barametric pressure? Tidal effect? Will we need to estimate what phase the moon is in as it's gravitational effect will have a slight impact on my bullets? Don't go overboard with the bullet trajectory stuff, just fix the accuracy. There are already games out there specifically themed for realistic sniper simulation and this game has much more important aspects that can benefit from such detailed developement.
-
I agreed but it depends what you consider "Long range".... Where does "long range" start?
-
Terrible movement and combat attacking gets my vote, but that's due to the game engine so it will never change unfortunately.
-
My issue with any of this is that in it's current state, any type of gunfire is terribly inaccurate and the bullet spread is unreaslistic regardless of which gun you're shooting. I'm all for these proposed changes and I think it would be awesome to impliment that level of detail, but I think the fundamental basics should be accurate first. What do I mean? Well, currently the game doesnt take wind ballistics into account, right?? Well.... with a pristine Mosin / LRS / Bipod / Comp: If you're exactly 300M from a barn and zero the scope in to 300M (FYI 300M is not terribly far in sniper terms, it's almost a gimme to a trained sniper...) then I would expect to headshot a stationary target 8/10 times assuming that I've held breath and pulled the trigger with the crosshair smack in the middle of the target's head..... That's "realism," but unfortunately that's currently not the case. The bullet pulls off to the left, off to the right, up, down, you name it.....The spread is ridiculas. Even at a range of less than 25 meters you can take a 45, line it up directly with a stationary Zed's face, pull the trigger and miss..... A few weeks ago I did some research. I've only been playing the game for a few months now and was curious as to why I couldn't hit anything, and then realized that some folks said there was a bug that caused the bullet to drop down and to the left. I started adjusting my aim and sure enough it seemed to work....occasionally. If this is really a bug and not just my imagination then why the heck is it not fixed and why are they planning all of these really intricate features before this is even fixed? Right now at any distance greater than 100Meters: the safest place to be when a sniper is aiming at you is directly lined up in the center of the crosshairs.... <-- This is a fact.
