If you downloaded the .pbo file, just put in your Operation Arrowhead/Missions folder, and you're all set. That's what i did, anyway. Then you can join the game, select SCENARIOS, and it will be there!

M107/AS50 ALL THE WAY. Of course if you play at night, the DMR is the only one that can be used with the NVG, but during the day, i'll trade my DMR to a M107/AS50 without even thinking twice. It's not that hard to aim with the DMR using the mildots, but with the zeroing provided by the other two snipers everything is much easier.

Don't, please. So many suggestions trying to turn DayZ into something else. No Resident Evil/L4D stuff please!

Just by reading the name "Green Mountain" my Avast gave me an alert. I just said it again, damn it. Don't say that name here, call it something else. Trust me, you don't want to know why.

Bandit/Survivor Morphing to be removed
[email protected] replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Bandit skin, come at us bro. GET BACK IN THE GAME! Because zombies make perfect sense. -
why do people complain about disconnecting?
[email protected] replied to MikeTupper's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Except that by flipping the table you would probably get punched in the face, and by disconnecting in the game there are no punishments or consequences so far. Right now i think this discussion is pointless, all people can do is hope for a new feature that actually forbid this kind of behavior. -
Helicopters should be taken away forever
[email protected] replied to Dickhat's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
This is a game, it has nothing do if a survivor knows how to fly a helicopter or not. How the heck there are zombies in this game if they're not real? How the heck there are zombies in this game if they're not real? I could say this same annoying line to the rest of the topics you named in your post, but then again, this is a game. There are 1-3 helicopters per server (i could be wrong, maybe) so i doubt they will really interfere with your gameplay. -
banned from DE95 for stealing the admin's heli
[email protected] replied to auge103's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I'm tired too of admins abusing their powers, it happens in every game with community hosted servers. I hope they get punished for this. They're even worst than cheaters for me, because you expect this kind of behavior from hackers, but not from admins. They're supposed to watch your back and take care of the servers. Let's hope their server gets blacklisted an their computer explode, for good. -
Now go kill some people while you're still alive.

North Barracks, Busted Leg, No Morphine. What Next?
[email protected] replied to dayZnoob (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Either ask for someone here on the forums to help you, or just kill someone in there and hope they have some morphine for you. Unless you have poor gear, then just let the zombies eat you. -
Are people playing DayZ like CoD/BF because..
[email protected] replied to Never's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Because they can, pure and simply. People need to bash each other, it doesn't matter why. In this case since there are no consequences for this kind of behavior, that's what we get. -
Well i honestly don't know if this would work, but if only the tents were working as they should, i don't see the need of such a feature (this is just my opinion). Obviously it would be very nice to have new ways to hide gear and make different types of camps, but this would probably require a huge amount of work and time. But hey, who knows! Just hope that someone important is reading this.

RE: Private Hives and 'The Rules' - (Update from Rocket inside)
[email protected] replied to Anton17's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I was writing a comment but then i saw your post. That's exactly why i play on a private hive server at the moment. It's by far the best way to avoid hackers and server hoppers, and i'm having a great time. It's doesn't affect AT ALL my ability to test the game and to report in the forums what i found, giving my suggestions if necessary. -
Your scariest DayZ expierience
[email protected] replied to Elladox's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
This sound is one of the reasons i always turn "music" off in the menus. LOL. -
I think this "x minutes until mission ends" is just something related to ARMA 2, and it doesn't affect the server restart or anything like that. My server also says when i join the lobby when it restarts, but playing on it for a while i can notice that sometimes the restart happens a few minutes later, or some minutes sooner than what i was expecting. There should be some kind of feature to just make the server restart on it's own in the correct time set by the admin. Regarding the tents, it's very disappointing in my opinion too, a few days ago i made a camp myself with lots of gear inside the tent and a vehicle, and it all disappeared after the server restart. Hope they fix that too, because having a tent, a camp to defend, gives us something else to do with our time when we're playing.

Your scariest DayZ expierience
[email protected] replied to Elladox's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The scariest experience i had in DayZ happened a few days ago. I was bored, watching Cherno from the factory building with my friend. While i was watching, i heard a shot and it almost killed me, it went to a pipe right next to me, so i ran for my life and waited a little bit, while my friend was trying to find the source, since he wasn't spotted by the sniper. A few minutes later, looking east, i saw three players leaving Cherno in the direction of Elektro, one of them had a sniper, so i figured he was probably the guy who tried to kill us. I told my friend and we quickly got out of the building, running towards them, hoping we could kill them. Watching them in the distance with my binoculars, i could see a zombie hit one of them, meaning they would need to stop to bandage the wounded player in a few seconds, so we went in their direction, to surprise them (they were probably at Prigorodki). We spread out a little, hiding behind the trees, and then we saw them. I aimed my weapon (a Lee Enfield) at the guy standing applying the bandage to his wounded friend, and i fired. He went down instantly, and one second latter i shot the guy bleeding, and he went down too. The third guy tried to flank us, but my friend saw him, and shot him too. We were really excited, and we went over their bodies to loot them. We spent maybe 30 seconds or less looking at their gear, then we heard footsteps and suddenly shots fired at us. I turned around looking behind me, and i saw 2 more guys, this time they were armed with silenced M4's and NVG's, but since we were probably very lucky that day, they missed the first rounds, giving me time to take cover behind one of the trees. My friend wasn't that fast to find cover, so he ran a little bit drawing their fire towards him, giving me a few seconds to shoot the other two guys. I killed them both (both bandits, but honestly i can't tell if they were in a group with the other 3 guys, or if they heard us killing them) and after that we took our time looting their bodies, just to find 2 coyote backpacks, NVGs, GPSs, 2 silenced M4s and lots of good gear that we are still using right now. It was a good fight, we were just two guys and we downed five enemies, i know it's not that impressive but it was by far my best moment in the game. -
I agree, it gets old quick. I don't play that much compared to the amount of time i was putting into the game a few weeks ago. I know the ultimate objective of the game is to stay alive, but honestly, staying alive lately means to kill everyone and everything, so i really thing we need something more to do.

Temporary Blacklist for all Locked Servers > 0 players
[email protected] replied to ZedsDeadBaby's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
It's kinda obvious to see who voted for "NO". I do believe some of those servers could have been locked for a good reasons, but i'm sure most of them are being locked by admins and their clans to spot vehicles and good loot before everyone else. This is something to be considered, in my opinion. -
Good PC = horrible performance?
[email protected] replied to Drugoli's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Use the ARMA 2 benchmark to see how is your performance, with more accuracy (Singleplayer / Scenarios / E08: Benchmark). With Very High settings, only with post process effects and vertical sync disabled, i get around 75 FPS. -
getting the game - help me!?
[email protected] replied to Dont Bs Me's topic in New Player Discussion
ARMA 2 is not a game, it's a SIM *hipster face*. U feel good now bro? I'm JK, of course. You need this http://store.steampo...1_7_suggest__13 (ARMA 2: Combined Operations, that includes both ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead. After that you can download DayZ here, at www.dayzmod.com, or you can download softwares like Six-Updater (http://www.six-updater.net/) that will help you installing everything you need and will also help you to keep track on your favorite servers. -
DayZ lost its fun when it became deathmatch.
[email protected] replied to MperorM's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
In a perfect world this game would be 18+. I can assure you most of the problem would be solved. You can even see here, looking at some of the posts, lots of 12 year old kids acting tough cursing you for thinking the game has become a death match, only because they need to protect their knew 225km² Call Of Duty so badly. I'm glad that there are still people that think the game is obviously more than that. Like i said before in some other threads, this is sandbox game, but still, it doesn't mean people need to act like jerks and retards, that's just the way they are, and how they would be in real life if there was no rules and consequences to their acts. Humans are broken, and unless the almighty developer (THE GOD) fixes them, the game will probably stay like this for a while, i'm glad i still love it. -
That's stupid and pointless. This video is terrible and you probably know it, no reason to rage because people don't like it. Next time just do something better, impressive, and that actually takes skill. Digital inclusion is a real bitch, poor Youtube.

Permission to use this for Admin ease?
[email protected] replied to mrzone's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
That's why community hosted servers are so bad. After some time playing the game i would give anything to have studio hosted servers, i'm tired of admins abusing their powers and without the proper knowledge to kick/ban correctly, causing a huge mess everywhere. How many times i saw servers restarting and i couldn't join right away because they just lock the servers for around 30 minutes just to find the good stuff before anyone else. Hackers with so many tools and ways to screw the game that they even kill the admins, leaving them sometimes with their hands tied. I would rather pay a monthly fee to have servers hosted by the developers so we could end this crap for good. I know this won't happen, of course, but let's hope we have proper anti-cheat measures when the full game gets released. -
This only happens to me when there is another object in the way. I always click "G" to remove all the items in the way, then the option to take the backpack appears. If this doesn't work for you then i honestly don't know what the problem is.
