Stuck in loading screen fix

I was having this issue, i only managed to fix it by re-installing the game. At first, i had the battleye files updated myself, by downloading them and putting them inside the proper folders, but then after 1.7.2 i got this problem too. When i made a fresh installation, i just entered the game without replacing the battleye files, the game itself downloaded and upgraded them for me when i entered a DayZ server. -

I'm sorry if this was mentioned before, but IMHO it would also be cool if the direct comm range could be increased properly according to the range of the radio tower. -
If you're 100% sure that you're looking to the right tank, just try running around it scrolling the middle mouse button until the option appears. Just like when you're trying to climb up stairs and you just can't see the option very easily, but when you move around a little bit you usually find it. Just saying, but you probably tried this. Anyway, good luck. :)

There is an option in six-launcher when you enter on the settings area, it's something called additional startup parameters, or something like that. You need to add the command right there, but honestly, i think by default it's already set to use all your cores, but i cannot confirm that. -
Yes, your character and the gear you're carrying are saved through all servers (only official servers - if you're playing on a non-official server, a.k.a. private server, your character won't get saved across all the other servers, only inside the one you're currently playing), including your current position on the map . TENTS and VEHICLES won't cross server with you. Those will stay in the server you found them.

I think the zig-zagg needs a fix, in any case. BUT, if the head shot was really necessary to kill them, i would also think their speed would need to be reduced, otherwise i think it's not viable due to the amount of zombies that sometimes comes our way. -

I like the idea. Reducing the size of the tool-belt would make people choose wisely what they're carrying, making it necessary to have other people in your group to carry the other important gear that you don't have the space to keep. Very cool stuff bro, let's hope someone important see this. :cool: -

I also feel bad when i kill other players. That's probably the main reason i can't become a bandit, even though sometimes i get pissed and i want to become one, i just can't. When i started playing i loved to go stealth around the cities shooting zombies with my crossbow and avoiding players. I just got killed so many times, that i don't even think about getting the crossbow anymore when i see it on the ground, we need "real guns" to defend ourselves against the blood thirsty bandits in this game. Anyway, hope he sees your post :D

Like someone posted before, try to use the "verify game integrity" on steam, and also, run steam as administrator (it actually helped me since i get an error while running the game without running it as administrator). Don't know if this will help you, but i didn't suffer with this problem, so i really don't know. If i was in your position, i would probably try a fresh install but maybe someone can help you first, so you can avoid re-installing the game. Good luck :) -
This is going to be hard but if you manage to endure, than maybe there is still hope for our fellow survivors in this game.

Yes, from what i heard the "endless" hills you mention is what they call the Debug area. There is nothing there, but you're still in the map from what i know, i could be wrong. If i'm right, you could be far west, in this case going east would make you come back to the map. Search youtube for videos that teach you how to find north! You might find useful information there (i actually saw a bunch of videos there). Good luck bro!

I think this would be nice IF the players could build something like this themselves, you know? For example, a big clan decided to make a camp where people could trade, but it would be like every other place in the map, friendly fire enabled and everything else.

Yes, like i mentioned in previous posts, what really helps is playing some missions or even the tutorial/boot camp from the regular ARMA 2, it really helps, so you can get used to play with your gear and some other important game commands. Good luck! -

I really like the way they move in this video, but i agree they could go a little faster. Man, it would be the perfect game, that's the only thing i really want right now is the zombie behavior changed (no more zig-zagg!) -

^ what he said. You just have to see where it went in your inventory. If it went to the toolbelt, it can be used to cut wood when you right click it. To equip it in your primary weapon slot, you can also right click it in the toolbelt to put it in your weapon slot (after that, you can right click it again to put it back in the toolbelt in case you find a more suitable weapon for you). -
I don't know, if think if such a feature could be implemented one day, it should be something simple. Arma 2 itself has some building mechanics that i saw on the campaign, but we would need to wait for the developers to give their insight about this. It would be kinda cool!

Anyway, this is the best game I've played in a long time, i just think that one's fun shouldn't ALWAYS come at the expense of everyone else's. I'm out, peace :)

You can usually easily identify the greafing players by their language in the forums, it's all about "butthurt", "carebear", "your tears are delicious", etc. Makes me laugh, really. I don't mind getting killed by a regular bandit, i killed other players myself due to the lack of trust or even to return fire. What i do mind is people server hopping, disconnecting to avoid death, and even the regular "carebearhater1337" with his friend "Dark Corner Mcdougal" that hides in a bush to open fire on survivors with nothing but a flashlight. Bandits are a part of this game, i just don't think it was the original purpose of the game that everyone becomes one, cooperation should exist, otherwise it's not a sandbox game anymore, only a death match game.

Sorry, i stopped reading when you said "carebear". This is probably the most childish behavior I've seen in online forums, i just don't get it, was this supposed to be an insult or something? We should probably try to discuss the matter without cursing each other ("carebear", holy ****, hahahaha).

Exactly, because there is no consequences whatsoever to this kind of behavior. Maybe there shouldn't be consequences, but i don't know, i just think that assuming that this isn't the real objective of the game (slowly turning into counter strike with zombies) i think something, ANYTHING, should be introduced to sort things out around this matter. I was a big fan of the bandit skin by the way..
