Never had this kind of problem before. I invited 3 friends to come over to my house with their computers/notebooks so we could play together, they joined my wireless network and we played with zero issues. Hope you can solve your problem.

You found a player - he has a weapon (hostile) - he has no weapon (friendly - at least until he finds a weapon) That's what i learned so far through my own experience.

I would love a group feature that allows friends in the same group to at least respawn in the same area. This would be nice as long as friendly fire is still enabled.

I always use the latest Arma 2 Beta patch and DayZ version that six updater has to offer me. You should probably do the same, since most servers also update to the latest version, which means you can join them without any problems.

Beans will give you 200 blood for every Can of beans you eat. Cooked meat will give you 800 blood, you need a knife + hatchet + box of matches to do get cooked meat. (Knife so you can gut the animals you kill for raw meat, hatchet to cut wood and box of matches to light the fire so you can actually cook) And if you don't play by yourself and have some kind of group playing with you, there's always the blood bags. Those you can find in the hospitals, in Cherno/Elektro/Berezino, but you need a player to make the blood transfusion to you. The blood transfusion will return you blood to 12000, consuming the blood bag. If you can't find the items needed to cook meat or you have no friends to give you the transfusion, try one of the threads made by people who actually help others in every server. Some of them will probably ask you for something in return, but honestly, never used those threads before, i rather respawn than take the risk of being killed by a random player.

That's what happens when you try a game without even seeing the tutorial. Everyone (or almost everyone) was in the same situation you are now, buddy, but we've learned, right? You should just try the Boot Camp from the regular Arma 2 / Operation Arrowhead so you can learn the basic commands and how the mechanics works in this game, and after that, you can go rock all night in DayZ.

Just happened to me in a US server, can't remember which one. He killed the entire server, for no reason. IMHO the one thing DayZ needs the most is a GOOD anti-hack system.

Please, don't tell other people how they should play their own games. If you like immersion, no one's stopping you! Join servers with no 3rd person camera and no crosshairs.

When these things happen, we need to at least take a screenshot (if we can record it, even better) so we can report it here. I hope you did that, otherwise this is pointless. Dude, please. Being the alpha stage of a mod still makes this a PC game. Sad that you have nothing better to say. I can already picture a friend in school asking you if you play the game DayZ and you going full hipster on them *IT'S NOT A GAME, IT'S THE ALPHA OF A MOD*. Dear god. @To the OP I died a few times in very weird and mysterious ways too, just hope they fix the DC problem so if stuff like this happens again, at least this exploit won't cross our minds again, and we'll be sure about what happened. It's very frustrating when we die without knowing if it was our fault or not, due to the amount of exploiters running around us all the time.

The server i play has a message when i log in saying that it restarts every 8 hours. One question, do server restarts make vehicles/tents disappear? Or did i just get robbed? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Arma 3 will only be released in 2013, so it doesn't make sense that DayZ will actually use the engine first in this year, which means we're probably going with Arma 2 engine! Anyway, i can't confirm that, just saying.

That's what i want to know, if it will work only with ALT-F4 or with Esc-Abort too. It's probably going to work on both ways, i guess.

Just updated to 95168, and now i can't join my previous 95099 and 94876 servers. Anyone experiencing this too? Damn. Not a backwards compatible patch?

Anyone else can confirm the performance increase? I'm waiting for the update on six updater. Also, is this performance increase noticeable at the regular operation arrowhead benchmark, or just something related to DayZ alone? Would like to benchmark to make sure! Thanks.

I heard somewhere that you can use Arma 2 free instead of buying it, but by doing that you get lower res textures (can't confirm that). But you need Operation Arrowhead. I bought both of them, in the Combined Operations package, so i don't know if you can actually play it with the Arma 2 free version.

If you kill someone because you need some stuff he has, or anything like that, i don't blame you. After all, that's what bandits do, right? What i mean by my last post is that there are a lot of people killing other players just because they can. Like "i have 100 bullets, why not kill that guy running with zombies behind him? It will be fun". Some people just pop other players without even looting them, only because they can, even other players that just started. Killing other players is fine, but sometimes i think it's out of control. I also play with some friends, and while playing with a friend we found another survivor who joined our group and he's now playing with us. This has become very rare in DayZ, due to the community new behavior to kill everything that breathes. I just hope one day we get that cooperation feeling back, like when i started playing a few weeks ago. And by the way, sorry if i was rude in my previous post.
