Did you try using the Class name GLT_LHD to spawn it?

Are you adding it to a server? If your able to spawn things just use the class name: GLT_LHD Hope that helps.

A pro pilot wouldn't land a chopper on a steep slope and expect it to not slide down hill...

The above posters are right. If you don't have an action available you wont see anything in your action menu. There are missions in Arma 2 where you start with no weapons. You won't see anything in the action menu until you approach a weapons crate, a vehicle, a door etc. If people would just play some of the Arma 2 training missions they would learn about the actual game they are playing and would be more prepared to play the DayZ Mod.

It's called the "Action menu". If there is an action available, it will show whether you have weapons or not. You can also use the Enter key to access the Action menu and use [ and ] to scroll.

Hmm, just going by the icons in these screens, this must be an earlier version of DayZ when these were taken. Was this area of Green mountain set up differently back then? I don't remember so many mass graves or people hanged :huh:

In regular Arma 2 it requires an ammo truck to rearm a chopper, plane or any vehicle that has a gun on it. Seems like making ammo trucks as a relatively rare spawn would suffice.

I always heard that Black Lake was kind of a strange place so I decided to check it out while doing some hunting in the area. I didn't expect to see much. I approached the lake from the west and as I got a good view of it I thought I saw something crossing the water. It was late in the day so I thought it might be a reflection or a bird flying low. I got a bit closer and saw that whatever it was, it stopped near the shore so I quickly took these screenshots: Would have taken more but about a minute later I was looking at the death screen.

Never respawn. The point is to survive, not to have every item you dream of.

Not really a good idea to disconnect in a dangerous place like that. You should find a place to hide when doing so or you may get shot as you log back in.

Check your DayZ and beta version and match it to the server you join. Also make sure the ping of the server is good. If it gets hung up on "Load" or "Creating character", just try a different server. I never wait 3 to 10 minutes to join a server. Just wasting your time doing that.

Ya, getting locked out of a tent is like getting locked out of a convertible.

I was wondering if a backpack full of gear could be placed in a tent or does the gear have to be removed before?

Did you try aspect ratio or resizing the interface?

You need to adjust your video settings. Your resolution may be to low. Try making it the same as your monitor.

I decided today to try and find a boat and travel to Skalisty island to check it out. Having checked a dayz loot map, I knew there were some lootable structures there. When i finally made it there my boat was nearly out of fuel (In the red). I wanted to see if there was a water source so I headed toward the residential area and found that there was...but I also found that I had dropped my water bottle some how. I have about 7 sodas, about 6 cans of food and everything I need to hunt, cut steaks and cook meat. Ok, now that I seem to be stranded (Unless I drop my pack and swim to shore) I will eventually run out of drink. I checked the house, shed and boathouse but there was no loot. Does anyone here know about this island and what is available to survive? Does a boat ever spawn anywhere on this island? I knew I might lose my gear or even my life, but I really wanted to check Skalisty island out and camp out for a while there so any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Does anybody here know how animals spawn? Do specific animals spawn in specific areas, such as a cow near a farm or a boar in the forest? Does a players location affect how and when they spawn, as with zombies? Thank you.

Press * to get out of freelook. Before you ALT+TAB out press Esc/pause so when you go back into game your gun won't fire.

Not too smart to log off while on a deer stand. You may log back in and get shot by someone who's looting it.

I haven't had any problem hunting animals for food until last night and this morning. I must have played a good 3 to 4 hours over all and covered a lot of ground. I didn't see one animal, not even a rabbit. In my travels through the woods I usually see lots of rabbits, goats, boars and often see cattle in open fields, but nothing now. I only have one can of food. Also, during my hunting travels I stopped at a good half dozen barns and houses and have not found any cans of food. I both hunted and searched for loot on 2 different servers in case one was buggy. Ok, my question is, how do the animals spawn in DayZ? Are certain animals spawned in certain areas? Thank you.

I know I have used it and no one answers I have even said if anyone can hear me when I'm in the loading screen for five mins and alot of ppl are talking and no one says yes.. With Direct chat you have to be in game and within 40 meters of the player you want to talk to.
