People are sane, they are utterly unlike what reading the forum might suggest. You can't put tents in buildings, they will pop out of there.

Agreed. For instance. You can spot dirt on jeans and TTSkO Pants in pristine condition. Imo the new items just look cheap, wrong and unfitting. Esp a damaged HCvest just looks ridicolous with its just darkened colours. No other clothing item behaves that way when it's damaged.

No, people dupe like hell and it's too easy to do. Also, the tents are ridiculously easy to spot. Huge blue in a forest. Why can't I cover them with leaves and stuff? Seriously, as a survivor I'd have done that as my 1st thought after setting them up. Persistance is enabled on servers that have "persinstency enabled" in their names. Just filter for "enabled". Also no hardcore servers with persistency so far.

The entire medicconcept fails imo. Everyone with a rag is a medic in dayz. Hence, you'll never be needed and thus shot. There are some rare occasions when people with yell for help with broken bones. That "additional camo" actually does the contrary. Why can't I make the burlap sack dirty to make it browinish? That would be great and actually help. Instead the mosin now looks like a rotten zucchini. Imo utterly useless. Our snipers already tossed their wraps. In addition to that it's made kinda illogical. There is no visible strings or anything to attach the sack and the sack covers the chamber of the gun and the lever to reload but not the frontal part of the scope, where there are no instruments for zeroing or anything for your hands.. Seriously? Whoever made this didn't care or didn't know that guns eject bulletcasings.

Can we just leave the feminism crap? In dayz everyone gets "raped" at times. Has a rape simulator been released without Occulus? If yes, it had no commercial success and is therefore irrelevant like a 10year olds RPG-maker game is to the public, if no it won't happen in Occulus either.

I'm not a fan of the urbanization of dayz. it was hard enough to hide a tent or a vehicle in the mod without a town in every corner of the map. Those faceless arrangements of buildings are bluntly annoying at this point... I mean, why? We still have damn 40 player servers. Isn't it hard enough to see ANYONE if you are not in berenzino? When are the playernumbers increasing, does anyone know?

What ability to camo them? Where has this ever been stated? And if so, why bother with civilian tents in the first place, mighve just given us a military one. Also, have you ever played the mod? I mean the real mod or something similar, no disneyland epoch :D. People activly look for tents, and back in the mod theyve been small and camo, now they are huge and blue. Our best located tent on DayZero lasted 2 weeks.

That wasnt particularly friendly, I give you that. But judging by the voice he is about 17-18 years old and probably lacks the englishskills to have any meaningful conversation on the fly. Thats probably why he keeps asking people where they are from. Ive seen this pattern in a lot of germans and racism is never involved, just own incompetence. I personally never ask if someone is german. First of all because my english is fairly well, as you can probably judge by now, and secondly because you can tell by the sound of the voice what age and nationality a person is. If it's one of the bigger nations that you run into often enough. So stop asserting to this Kid that he is a racist, King Raptor. As I mentioned before, I cringed when he said "this is a german server, you know?" but he did not mean it that way. He was thinking "that's why I kind of expected to run into germans." Don't make a fundamental attribution error here. Attribute to incompetence, not to malevolence. If you disagree at this point, King Raptor, I hope you are capable of speaking a foreign language aswell and understand the problems. Imo some more evidence that he is not used to actually TALK in english is his weird intonation of the question "where do you come from?" at 3:23, and also the question itself. I learned that the proper question in this case would be "what's your mother-tongue?" EDIT: But you did not miss anything, Rappy ;) The vid was utterly boring.

The tents won't affect this game as much. They are too visible, you won't be able to hide it properly. Will be found after 3 days max. Concerning traps: Ive seen leaked images of rabittraps. Its just some wires and wood, but maybe works against players too.

Dogtags maybe not, not everyone is a soldier, but maybe necklaces. Almost everyone has a ring or a necklace. But since that's something hackers can abuse and brag about, and could provide more fun to them, I'm not a fan of the idea :/

But not playable. If that persists, I will just give up looting any civilian structure and move the NWA instantly after spawning. Wanna know why? Because the chance to even get dressed there is very high. Look at it this way: You loot about 10 buildings often enough, or way more, in a city to get a decent outfit that's either capable of carrying around enough stuff or is even in favourable colours. You go to 1-2 buildings in any military base, and you have favourable colored outfits with many slots. So the efford required to loot military structures is way lower than the efford it takes to loot civilian buildings. Esp since many civilians buildings force you to go upstairs to find nothing but trash, and any stair costs you too much time. The character walks damn slowly on stairs. And I really like civilian clothing. I usually try to find hoodies, but it has become increasingly difficult, esp since the tracksuit tops now take hoodieslots. Also, imagine you are part of an 8 men clan, trying to equip yourself. Playing together will be a huge disadvantage to you, since a city barely can supply two people with weapons sometimes. This is why people dupe. There must be basic firearms around, pistols and stuff. And not 70% of available clothing should be pants. Edit: and I have another problem with loot in general. It's distrubution and mechanic have a deep, maybe unsolvable problem. Progression There is no natural progression in gearing up. You don't start out measy to build up to perfect gear, unless you relocate to an airfield. And somehow that feels weird. Because once you are there, loot may either be abundant, making you wonder why you bothered gearing up in the place you came from. Or you end up being dissapointed because what you hoped for was not there, not even a part of it. The only workaround of this is if you keep killing players that are slighly better geared up then you. That makes the progression and Imo the best dayz experience. It's basicly my whole game. I have to rely on people who gear up to die by my hands, because I myself refuse to powerloot and serverhop just for gear. I want the feeling of having it earned.

It can't really do the job of a mosin. Three days ago I had an ACOG M4, and pulled off some crazy fast headshots at 300meters. The weapons recoil is so weak and the turning speed so high. Pure gold. But today I tried shooting someone's head (who also had a M4). He was maybe in 60 meters distance, or less. I had zeroed to 200 and aimed for his head. Somehow I only hit his legs, they got broken. Mine did too then. That was very discouraging. I'd say M4 is the best gun from 0-400 Meters, of course with ACOG 600 meter kills are possible but rare. BUT! Since the ACOG is supposed to have a 4x zoom, but does not have this yet, we can expect that it will get an improved zoom at some point. PSO-1 is also a 4x zoom scope, so basicly ACOG M4 will be a "M4 with PSO", and maybe they'll fix the RDS/Ironsight zoom again. edit: today's pickup http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/31842616001827036/983189D0CD802E39E9C75141F7ABF730800AEDA0/ got an ACOG too...now I can die happily.

Actually...I just had to throw a M4 away. Obtained another one from a corpse, took its MP Handguard and RDS-o. None of my mates wanted it because we had no ACOG, which is most wanted on the NWA. Also, i found a M4 almost every day this week. It's amazing. Of the 7 or so I obtained, 4 had hacked ammo, the others had been legit. (and i threw the hacked ammo away and replaced it with legit ammo.) You can't camp as this is the worst system anyone has ever thought out ever. Whenever you pick up an item, 10sec later in a radius of one or two KILOMETERS, a new item spawns. So yea, good fucking luck with camping. The only place this actually works reliably (and then feels like cheating) is the 2barrack military base near NWA. That said, its unreliable and mostly leads to trashloot populating the server. Since trashitems that do not get picked up remain there, and new spawned trashitems won't get picked up either. If any server would run for 24h, we'd see mostly trashloot laying around.

Recently, since this week, I see a huge increase in hacking again. For a while it was calm and enjoyable, but now as soon as you step into berenzino, you are guaranteed to find a hacker. Seen two guys being crouched without a walking or weaponswitch animation that hovered fast on the ground just 2minutes ago. They both looked the same. Yesterday I saw 4 people, all duped with M4s, and they had the ability to teleport and see through walls. I could see with my own eyes how they teleported. So, it's on again.

Any chances based on gear conditions are bind to fail. Why would a bother with a "chance". I want results, and not check all the time what condition my buttstock has when I swing it in his face. It's also unrealistic as hell. Don't you think a rusty metalrod hurts as bad as a new one? Thats ludacris.
