I just had a battle with communication at NWA, we corned a guy in the shower of the northbarracks and gave him 10sec to come out, he continiously claimed he couldn't hear me right. I told him he should not try fucking with me (we killed his mate earlier) and that I will kill him if he is tring to fool me, but he will leave alive if he is honest. My mate said "he is trying to buy time" I moved as I grew suspicious, and right next to me impacted a bolt. Long story short, his reinforcements died. 5:0 for us. Don't get fucked with, 10 seconds is enough to to consider the options, 15 at most, if you can afford because you have a massive advantage. But IMO if they fail to respond per voice within 3 seconds, they are hostile.

You mean like three firefights? 86 hours in 8 months, you basicly never play. Your forumpost count is disproportional high considering your meager experience in dayz. When I see those stats sometimes I get worried. People who basicly never play the game are all around the forum and reddit. Maybe thats why we get useless items like firefighter clothing? I mean seriously, who is ever going to wear it? No one. Also, nothing personal.

It will never be fixed before we have private shards with whitelisting. Then when that happens you just need to find 1. a server that does not charge you a fee 2. has honest admins 3. admins have the patience and competence to look through logs to spot cheaters.

If you did not play yet on another server again, then just as I described. Launch DayZ, open Steam, go to friends->fellow players>past sessions.

As I said, look for similarities in names. One of them couldve had a similar name like ingame.

There is a method to infer names sometimes, esp if people want to be found. After leaving the game, you couldve opened steam and click on "fellow players" (or however that tap is called) -> past session, at the bottom of the screen. That would show you all the steam names of the people you played with before the server went down. If they have similar names in steam as ingame, you can contact them.

:D hillarious death. Yea its quite strong now but imo does not serve its purpose. That what's it doing right now should be the green ammo, namely shotgun shells/slugs. Pellets (red shotgun ammo) are supposed to fragment and they did so 2 months ago. Even though you had success with it against some dupernoobs, still does not make me want to pick that thing up. I need it for clearing out rooms primarily, and when you do that do don't want to expose yourself for more than a second, because otherwise you will just die due to desyncing issues. So basicly I need a high fragmenting shotgun that i can just roughly point in a room towards a target and wound or kill said target. You know, just like they used to be 2 months ago. -,-

Nice that someone actually didnt shoot. Hardly ever experienced that. However, this vid confirms that there is nothing to do when you're friendly, esp if you are not looking to be teaming up with random people. Also, you should probably tell your friend to fix his arm and to doublebind hold breath, so he actually hits his targets. regards.

What is even worse is, when you assembled a car on a server that somehow loses its famed status and is deserted. HF driving your vehicle on a dead server.

With the easyness of duping its a common sight in any engagement. I don't get how they fail to address duping before introducing persistence of items.

I posted a workaround on this, but it got merged into "I quit / This game is bullshit" thread. Let me quote myself: If a server went down due to restart and you connect again on the same server, this will cause you to be a freshspawn. Connect elsewhere, then connect on the server that restarted earlier. If you connect to the restarted server and find yourself a bambi, DO NOT just reconnect there! It WILL wipe your character, connect elsewhere first! If you notice a ridiculous long "wait for host" the server is about to wipe your char, disconnect! Or: just wait before you connect to the same server. If you are getting "Waiting for host" more than 10 seconds. Hit escape and try again a minute later on the same server.

Played on hardcore. Last 3 days, each day ended with a hacker killing my whole troupe. They prefer teleporting with mosin at the NWA. I guess it makes them feel like they hunt deer or something. We hunted a sniper for half an hour, and he always shot us from nowhere. Very close, then very far away again and he was never ever seen by any of us, not one saw him move. We are a veteran squad with hundreds of hours of playtime. I know a hacker when I see one, and this is getting out of hand now. Three days ago I briefly saw probably the same guy, as the style was very similar. It was on NWA. I saw him moving prone at insane speed. Evern more depressing is that I read that on GTA5, there is a hacker who rapes people. If Rockstar, a huge gamedev with one of the most expensive games ever made, can't handle hackers, Battleeye can't either.

Seriously, none of this is concerning me. To me the duping issue and broken sound are prio 1. Let there be shitloads of ammo for now, no one can carry this anyway. Also the civilian structures need a significant boost in spawning ammo and pistols. Everyone should get a pistol almost easily, esp the near useless ones like makarov, p1 and CR75.

Loot respawn? really? As long as you need server restarts to spawn loot properly, I don't consider the current mess to be respawning loot. Anyway, I agree that AKM mags are abundant.

Leave that guy alone, duping tents is the least harmful thing there is.

Must be fake, atleast your first contact with the guy on the tower must be scripted. WalkieTalkie doesnt work and you play dumb when he asked if you are a guard...obviously everyone would assume santuaryguard. but maaan...that hacker....looks like they finally found their way out of berenzino. Saw a flyer yesterday at NWA.
