Nope, personally I find it ridicolous that your pants are ruined because they habe ONE bullethole. Should be easily fixable. It seems that even when you give someone a headshot, some items might still be damaged (that are not worn on the head...)
-
What clothing set/weapons would you add if you could?
Khanarac replied to SomeCallMeNomad (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I'd add scarfs to conceal throat and maybe mouth. :P -
I'd return to dayzero to, but it died to standalone and the intrinsic flaws of dayzero (no basebuilding, for instance). People left for standalone, left standalone after a while and then left dayz alltogether :(

Its also no recoil glitch/hack. Its running so rampant now that I can hardly fight a battle without someone using it. The state of cheating atm is unbearable, and there is nothing we can do (I asked a BEdev, he said no 3rd party evidence is allowed to ban someone)
-
Abandoning the game because of the desync that tends to get both parties killed in a close quarters gunfight, the same desync that causes anyone to see you through walls when you are close to them... and the exessive amount of cheaters (got killed by atleast one all weekend now and sometimes escaped/got lucky) until the next big patch... 475 hours that make me ashamed.

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
Khanarac replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
I just ran into one aswell, and yesterday too. But I witnessed them teleport and shoot with no recoil and infinite ammo. This time I could infer his steamname but I don't know where to report to. I doubt steam will do anything. -
First, we had sufficient zombie testing by now. Second: You JUST do not want to get it. Okay now very.slowly. It does NOT matter, what you do, the zombies see you REGARDLESS. IF you lay prone, doing nothing, in the Mod zombies will NOT come after you. However if you do the same in SA, they WILL come after you. He can't snipe people because he is busy axing down zombies, tell me how that is HARD and not plainly ANNOYING. We aren't even talking about "firing the dinnerbell". My sniper could not fire since he was busy with endless streams of zombies. If he would have shot, we would atleast have a reason to trigger them, but there was no reason. If the zombies in SA behaved like in the Mod, I wouldn't even complain, don't you finally get that? Whatever I don't care anyone. For some reason people seem to insist that zombies are too hard for me (and others) to handle and thats why I complain. But this is not the case.
-
Yea you obviously did not read anything here. No one said they are hard, actually quite the contrary.

Teleport hacker, We had a funny encounter with one recently. I camped a group of five people exactly where you described, a teleporthacker teleported around, playing loud music. I was behind the militaryoffice (Jails), the hacker ported behind the hangars and got instantly shot by our sniper :D We lol'd.

Some wise words you all missed. Also you don't seem to understand that we want zombies removed until they are fixed, so they are to return. Where are the annoying "YOU KNOW ITS ALPHA STAGE, DONT YOU?!?????!!!!1111"-cryers now? So yea, its alpha, might aswell remove them untill they work better. It won't make any diffrence to the gameplay at his point, except less annoyed players and less people dying because zombies gave away their location in an unfair manner. At release of SA there was almost no zombies, due to no respawn. Was that all so bad? Was there really a diffrence in gameplay? Do you tread more lightly now that you know that there are Zs there? I don't, gonna aggro them regardless how careful I move. All I do is significantly use the axes more. Oh and while we are at it. Let's alter their deafening highpitch screetches. It's killing my ears.

You know, a mosin bullet in your head or 30 rounds of 5.56 usually do not allow bloodbagging afterwards. I'm not running around aimlessly, Im hunting people in a team of 2-4 players.
-
How was any of that fun? That was the most boring dayz vid I ever watched, and I do understand all of it. And none of those moments have been rare in any way >.>
-
In 10 lives, i get to bloodbag someone once. Usually you're shot dead before you can apply any medical help. So...not needed.
-
Deathmatch? Bollocks. In the mod you could sneak around zombies, here you can't. You can't use your skill/efford to avoid them. That's the problem
-
Nope, they wouldnt. because the hitting animations and the walking and many other things have been broken in the mod. They wanted more excellence. And they'll keep it a background setting. And even if they'd made the zeds eat more bullets, make them more numerous and upgraded their damage, still that guy in the bushes with the mosin can oneshot you from 800 meters. Well 600 meters might be an extrageration, but certainly it was 400-500, Its tricky with those huge ranges, they run towards you, then stop for some reason and then run at you again after a while. That's why you get the impression of a never ending zombie wave, they come one by one because of that. Also note that when the server is under heavy load, they tend to ingore your presence alltogether or have reduced aggrorange and reduced runningspeed. Also I still want them removed even though I can handle them easily, anyone with a damn fireaxe, splittingaxe, pitchfork etc can handle them with ease, even huge numbers. And when things get really messy we just walk upstairs. Still, our sniper sometimes can not hold his position because of endless zombiewaves coming at him, even though he is not moving.
-
+1 Remove until fixed. The current state is unbearable since zombies don't care how sneaky you are. Fanboys, please calm down. The problem with the zombies is that they can not be sneaked around, they'll see you from 600 meter range, giving away your position, which really is the most dangerous thing they can do. Also people, zombies will never be a true threat in this game, it will always be other players. Zombies are the background setting.

Well...I can see a reason, though I wouldn't insult anyone. The reason is that the Mod currently has more content BUT I won't return to it. Why? Axehandling in Standalone, that's why. Even thougn Axehandling became way worse since they changed the animations, its still better than in the Mod, where you have to unequip your mainhand weapon etc and that weapon might dissapear or unable to be picked up again. Also the lack of new content, the odd thing that there was Green-Shotgun ammo in the game aswell as red, when there was no shotgun, but when the shotgun was introduced we only have red ammo, the fact that shotgun ammo from the speedloader does less damage. That's stuff that I IMAGINE is rather easy to fix, compared to numerous other things ...LIKE ...standing on the smokestack in Vybor factory, that has only a thin plate to walk on but with a handrailing> taking my rifle into my hands> falling through the railing and die, because the gun seems to increase my collisionbox and makes me glitch out. Or other fun stuff like: sticking your gun through a thin wall and shooting through it, since the bullet is "generated" at the muzzle and not in the riflechamber. Or: Seeing another player through a wall just because he came close to it. He glitches through it and then back in my point of view, but for him he always was behind the wall. All those things did not happen in the mod. Anyway, the SA has caused a strange thing among the veteran players of the mod. Most of them tried SA, most of them left SA rather quickly and most of those did not return to the mod either. That's a sad thing really :/

Hilliarous :D
-
With the changes to militarytents it should see a revival. However, still many servers don't have lootspawning militarytents, and we stalked the airfield yesterday for about 1 hour or more, without anyone to be seen (and we always ran into servers that had no militarytents with loot somehow)
-
Is that so? So you have shooting experience? :P You might be able to wave your gun around, but that won't help to hit things. The rifle must be relativly stiffly alinged towards the eyes and be pressed into the shoulder. One's character looks like an idiot while walking in crouch mode ready for aim. He/she does not press the rifle into the shoulder, instead let's it "hang" kind of. Doesn't seem ready to shoot at all. Not accuratly, thats certain. Also forcing this feature on people WILL drive players away from the game.
-
They are, just turn increase Aiming Deadzone in the Optionsmenu ->Configuration>Controlls>Top Left "Mouse Features", 2. Option
-
I don't really approve of that. It seems unpredictable. And you end up reacting to where your ironsights are on the screen instead of controlling them. The great players I know have it turned off for this reason.

+1. Guide to boredom
