GRASS! I have one question that concerns me, and an observation. Will the new renderer at some point lift the limit that grass is currently displayed at (roughly 100meters) ? It would be great if we could either have grass displayed at all distances, or if that is technically impossible, remove the tall-grass completly. In the provided screenshots, grass seems to be yet untouched. Also I noticed that when my character is prone in high grass and I look at her in 3rd person, i can see how her eyes are above the grassline and shouldnt obstruct the field of view. But when I switch back to 1st person, it feels like my eyes are placed somewhere in the chest and the tall grass is obstructing my FoV.

They are treated as trash, because they don't work. Or do they now? Last time I checked in 0.57, they didn't.

No, more likley that it's a hacker. They are as common as fish in a pond. I hereby claim that there is atleast one hacker on every 40/40 server, but there must be more since I frequently run into them. I haven't seen a single legit player since the wipe with an M4. I tracked 10 of my recent deaths 5 of them are due to hackers and one was unknown. Unfortunatly that is now in the graveyard. Playing this game is like being blackmailed by the mafia and the cops won't listen. Just as these suppressive mods that close everything related to the most pressing issue this game has. That said, that'll be my last post in a while.

Never stop moving in the firestationtower. That way you can avoid breaking legs.

Even more Pro tip: If you do not get a battleeye message in the left bottom corner of your screen 7 seconds after joining a server, you should hit escape and try again later. Why can't the mods finally sticky this issue somewhere? It's bloody annoying to read this every day.

Hackers have a tool that teleports loot into their hands from a distance. I often guess that they've just looted the crashes if the server restarted recently. It's also likley that they have helicrashes marked on their map, but I don't know that for sure.

All damage numbers on all websites concerning all guns are wrong. The shockdamage is not lethal, it's an additional effect you accumulate alongside with damage. If you happen to have higher shockvalue than blood remaining, you go unconscious. Shock deteriorates over time and once you have less shock than blood you'll stand back up. However you will also go unconscious if you fall below 500 blood, and if you don't gain blood either via bloodbag, saline or regeneration from being energized&hydrated, you are going to stay unconscious. Eventually your heart might fail, but this is speculation as usually you either bleed to death or get rescued.

seriously, they can't even synchronize infantry movement. how are they going to sync flying objects? I just fucking died after shooting a guy 5 bullets SKS in head and chest from 4 meters distance using a PU scope, after that I hid behind a corner. Somehow I still got hit by his sporter even behind the corner, going unconscious and he is fucking unharmed...they work on fucking vehicles now but how are we going to ever hit a vehicle that drives with this kind of desync, let alone with the ridiculous "sway", which should be called swing, of the weaponry. I don't see them implementing vehicles in any semi functional way by the end of the year, or even next march.

Their inability is irrelevant. They are customers who paid. And any company has to take shit from their customers if their product acts unexpected to the customer. So any shit they take is legit. I too didn't think the game wouldnt be as broken as it really is. At first it looked like it's the mod with some graphic updates, fewer weapons and almost no zombies but a host of new issues suddenly spawned. Also you can't expect everyone to be disciplined in their critizism, esp when it's so easy to die to some bug and instantly hop on the forum to vent their anger.

Well, he meant that a zombie apocalypse is not supposed to be entertaining, and even dean hall said this aswell. He said he wanted to bring other feelings to the game than just "fun" and I assume his post is written in the same spirit. Either it's you or me who should read alascer's post more carefully. Well I dunno, but you know, people complain because they CARE. Most of them atleast, I do atleast. I love the game and want bad things to change. And that's what joining early Access is about. It gives me the hope to affect the development somehow. I, too, may be bitching, but it is because I care. Also dayz has many faces with all the submods it had, people want that its similar to their submod, so as a dev, you can just not statisfy such a diverse community.

Well maybe because actually PLAYING in this state isnt all too enjoyable. On a sidenote: I also just noticed that balcony railings are still made of chewinggum instead of metal, and that hitting "space" will somehow move my character around. This bug is ancient.

I skipped all previous posts and here is my serious one: Eat canned peaches, they are the best food ingame. 2nd comes rice. Try eating something that has a high energy value, bananas or any fruit don't do it, Tactical bacon is garbage, beans are okay.

Yes, the bigger the caliber, the more damage in general. So... Mosin>SKS/AKM>M4/ak101. Shotgun is hard to define since it depends how many pellets hit the target. Generally its very strong when not sawn off. Machinepistols are another story too. I have no sufficient experiences with them yet, their damage seems to be on par with AKM/SKS, which makes sense. They have big callibers than assaultrifles and higher muzzlevelocity than Pistols. Pistols: .45(FNX)>9mil(CR75)>9mil-short (makarov)> .22 (Amphibia)

The blooddamage numbers on dayzdb are wrong. Problem solved. All guns do have 500 damage according to that site, and that's just not true. Everyone knows a Mosin does more damage than a M4.

Look for them in the shacks in backyards of houses. I just found one in the biggest shack there is, the grey metal one.
