    Tatanko's April Social

That was raBit. Story teller and farmer extraordinaire.

    Tatanko's April Social

I would also like to extend a thank you to Odin Lowe for playing the guitar around the camp fire. Especially when he started taking requests!

    Tatanko's April Social

Here's a bit of what I got. Still have to go through a few.

Odin at Tatakno's party. Just hanging out.
  5. With all the talk about helicopters around here could you imagine taking one out by throwing a spear into its rear rotor on take off? It would be glorious.

Any info on the 24 hour cycle bug?

That's a terrible way to run a server hosting business. I was recently toying with the idea of getting a server of my own. Originally I had been thinking Fragnet, and after this I'm definitely not choosing MPGS.

Any info on the 24 hour cycle bug?

About 7 posts up Hicks just mentioned that you can set custom static server start up time. To me that sounds like you can set the time your server picks up after a restart. Set it to 10 a.m. and no more darkness for your server.

    Beware...

I think I've posted this before, but this fits ladder death stories in DayZ
  9. I honestly think the cooking system was the main reason this is happening. After a little more advancement there we'll probably see scarcity again.

Was going through some old screen shots and found one I originally didn't think was interesting. This time I saw what the zombie in the back was looking at.

    troll level 100

I don't pick up bottles that are lying on their side as a rule. Until that's fixed no dropped bottles for me. Besides there are so many wells on every route it would be hard to die of thirst.

Has the increased difficulty had eny effect on KoS frequency?

Not really. It was one instance. Hardly something to base your hypothesis on. The reasoning for my decision was something that existed when the SA first came out. Nothing new about .55.

    Realism Vs Enjoyment

You've obviously never played goat simulator. DayZ is a mod from a military simulator. What did you really expect from DayZ SA? It just took a step closer to what the devs have been saying it's supposed to be for a while now. You have to be exaggerating on how long it took you to find one can of sardines. I'm not one of the people on these forums that's just going to yell "Get gud n00b" but loot and food isn't too hard to attain. I haven't picked a single apple tree since this patch and I've played every day since it has come out. You just have to re-think your loot runs and sneak around/run away from zombies. Hint: Check outhouses, deer stands, and guard towers

Has the increased difficulty had eny effect on KoS frequency?

I've KoS'd in this patch. I was at the NEAF with a SKS and 3 rounds. Didn't really have anything else but a canteen. A guy ran up to the same area of the cars that I was looting and must not have seen me. Stood there with his back to me while checking out a jeep. He had a nice large mountain backpack that I was hoping had food in it since my character was hungry. So I shot him in the back of the head and took his stuff. He DID have quite a bit of food and more rounds for my SKS. Now if I would have had a full 10 rounds I most likely would have held him up. Was it KoS? Sure. Was it surviving in a survival game? Definite yes. Sometimes KoS is about survival and not for the lulz.

Has anyone found any AKs in 0.55 stable?

Agreed. Cleared out the entire military base outside of Pavlovo with only eight 5.45 rounds. The silenced AK74u is a godsend.

    waterproofing spray

Yes it exists, but good luck finding any lying around even before the zombie apocalypse.

Geforce Experience - Game cannot be optimized.

I used GFE once with DayZ and it actually made it worse. I had to go back in and reset it to what it originally had been before I was getting decent graphics and frame rate again.

server consistency from patch 0.55 upwards

They are supposed to stay persistent without weekly wipes now. Even so this is alpha and we have had some tent persistence issues lately. I already logged out for the night holding every piece of value from camp I could hold. Just in case.

    Shooting in the Head?

I have personally tested this. A pristine ballistic helmet will NOT stand up to a point blank .357 Magnum round to the head. Also tested this with the 1911. Same result.

    Tents and persistence. Again

A few restarts. Backpacks survived them as well.

    Tents and persistence. Again

Persistence is working I hope server admins wouldn't be able to wipe camps with a restart. Abusive admins would be able to do too much damage with that.

.55 loot, I'll just leave it at this.

The police car by Black Lake. It has been overflowing with loot lately :)

.55 loot, I'll just leave it at this.

I'm not saying the loot is perfect at the moment, but you're throwing a tantrum here. This is what I've managed to gather in the past two days: Thanks to persistence being mandatory I don't have to worry about my second backpack getting wiped!

.55 loot, I'll just leave it at this.

It's like a sociological experiment of the DayZ player base. The inability to adapt seems higher than I would have originally thought.
