I might be in the minority on this one, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how civil everyone I've run into in .60 has been. I was heading North out of Gorka when a guy just shouted "Hello" directly behind me. He had his Skorpion out but seemed friendly enough. He offered food and the usual things people offer each other in DayZ. He asked if I wanted to head NW with him and I agreed. We both shared our first experience with the new radio station together which was pretty neat. After that we looted up quite a bit from one deer stand alone and headed towards Grishino together. Unfortunately that's when a friend started knocking at my door so I had to logout. Added the guy on Steam and plan on playing again. I believe this was on US South Central 0-2. DayZ: It brings people together.

Ahh ok. Wish I could have gone to that one. I actually didn't do security at Otmel. Was just a guest. That was when we all got firebombed by hackers. When .60 hits stable you should consider doing another one.

Was your party really that long ago? Wow, time flies. That was one of the most unique experiences I've ever had playing DayZ, and that's saying a lot. First chance I've had to jump on for more than a hour in over a week now. If I find a grenade I'd like to see if the wall at Prison island can still be blown up. I haven't been there this patch so I don't know if anything spawns there but I've been lucky with seeds lately. Hopefully I can start a prison garden. I'll also check out if you can still glitch onto the roof.

While I'm saddened by the inability to play DayZ .60 this weekend I'm not upset with the Devs. Things happen and I'm not about to doubt them. Especially without knowing what's going on internally. I've been meaning to turn my old computer into a LAMP server for long enough anyway. That will keep me busy for a bit. Then maybe I'll go outside. Maybe...

Got in on Friday night and kept playing til Saturday morning. Slept a bit and just started again. I've had a notepad to my right the entire time to write down bugs. Loving this patch. Now to finally check out Tisy.

It means it should have more stopping power but in game I'm not sure. There are other posters on this forum that can answer that question better than me. Yes they are both full auto.

AK101 or AKM with the pso1 scope is what you're looking for. Next update will bring in the SVD but you'll have better luck finding the AK family.

They'll be in the stable branch but will not respawn. It was worded a little strangely but that's what was meant. The wipe on this next patch has been known for over a week now. I'm hoping these are being taken out as a way to focus on performance. Maybe to get some sort of baseline performance to work with. That way they know where they stand for performance tweaks down the road. I have no idea how a development process works on the inside so I could be very wrong. I'm going to miss persistence but c'est la vie. It'll be back.

All I've been hearing is how much of a realistic, survival based game DayZ is going to be. How is this realistic in any sense? We're in poor Chernarus not Dubai. Really hoping this is a joke. It is a fantastic model FridockShir. Keep it up :)

You should not be able to get gear off of your old dead body. I hope this was implemented.

I've been waiting for he Mosin to take a serious hit on accuracy at long ranges. I'm happy. I've never been a sniping type player, but I'm going to enjoy the combination of the Stary tents and the SVD.

From what I understand as long as you check your backpack it will reset the time it takes to disappear. Just to be sure I've been picking mine up and dropping them again. Haven't lost anything so far.

I actually bought a laptop for mobile gaming about 1 1/2 years ago. It still holds up to whatever I play on it. It has an i7 3630QM, a GTX 670m, and 12gb of RAM. I've used it on every trip I've taken and for a few lan parties. It has a great air system and stays cool pretty well for long sessions. It was about $1,500 when I bought it off of NewEgg. And yes, it plays DayZ smoothly while looking pretty nice. Of course it doesn't touch my desktop ;)

Do you know how much that would hamper my looting? Camping the hill by Vybor military base on low pop servers and sniping hoppers is my main go to for high end loot.

I don't set launch parameters for games in Early Access. If I remember correctly invalid launch parameters made the development build unplayable for a few folks 8 or so patches back.

I'm sure it was the same when someone first started throwing a ball around. That turned out pretty well.

I enjoyed SGVI even with the networking issues. The ending of SGV was better but the heli crash and truck at the end of SGVI made things pretty enjoyable. Was considering trying to sign up for the SGVII qualifiers. Just knowing where North is might be a leg up on some of the streamers ;)
