I literally quoted the exact words that you typed. You know this is text based and people can read your original comments right? I never said there was a problem with someone, such as yourself, choosing to play a DM style. I just showed my dislike for it. Myself responding anymore after this would be pointless.
-
I, as well as everyone else in this thread, read the whole comment. I was just showing that you're a purely DM player. You respond, again, with "It's the only thing to do!". How does this make my original statement incorrect or even something for you to argue? Also, there is much more in this game than running to Berezino and getting in firefights. If you can't figure it out feel free to take your lack of imagination and leave until full release.

Come again?

Haven't really changed how I've played since I started. Some of that might be a carryover from the mod. I don't KOS but sometimes my finger gets a little itchy when I'm not 100% sure of someones intentions. Then there are other times when I just like to have a little fun. Met up with a fresh spawn last night and took him through Svetlo. We ran into two guys with SKSs looking for water. I led them to the well, shot them both while they drank, and gave my new buddy all their loot. Afterwards we said goodbye to each other and ran off on our separate ways. Only the dead don't benefit from death.

I agree it's a work in progress. I also agree that these whine threads are moronic and a waste of everyone's time. As far as why people continue to play the game? The open sandbox environment and the ability to make conscious decisions on everything your character does is pretty neat. The limitlessness of what it is, and can be, keeps me playing.

I just hit 300h last night and I've run into a few and caught two on video. Everyone likes to say "I've played X amount of hours and haven't seen one" but they do exist and play every night. Go to a heavy populated area on a full server and you're bound to find one eventually. Most of the users complaining about hacking I've seen are just mad they got beat in a firefight, but not everyone is wrong or lying. Now that that's out of the way OP seems like he plays DayZ SA as a death match simulator. Against his play style I almost support the cheaters. Almost.

Experimental patch..what a winner!

This all seems fine and good, but can you kill that damn rabbit yet? -
DayZ SA's current state in a nutshell.
IReadTheAgreement replied to nurdseprem's topic in General Discussion
I work in IT for a large scale educational institution. Before that I worked in IT for a large school district. From my personal experiences in "educational games" they are all complete garbage. I don't believe you when you say the graphics are similar. Why you may ask? Because school districts can't afford a NVIDIA gtx 670 for every computer. Feel free to reference the "game" you made. Lets see if you can take the same criticism that the BI team face daily from folks such as yourself. -
No. Ten minutes later there's no one that can find it anyway.

It seems more like a blow to the Australian governments view on banning video games. Not something that encompasses the whole country.

Feedback about shootgun. Another frustrating episode

Doesn't work indoors? If I have a sawed off shotgun that's all I clear buildings with. Has never failed me. -
Would you like spawn points spread out?
IReadTheAgreement replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
That dreaded Novy spawn got me! Yes. Entire coast. Otherwise it doesn't work as well. Anywhere from North of Svetlo to West of Kamenka. I do get your side of spawning across the whole map though and honestly it wouldn't kill my experience so whatever the spawns end up being I'll still be playing. -

IReadTheAgreement replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
Let's not start changing DayZ lore here. It's been around for over 2 years! While I admit your ideas are pretty good I still am an "only spawn on the coast" guy. I remember playing for a long time with the same character, gearing up, surviving firefights, only to die in one eventually. The sound of the waves once you respawned was devastating. Even worse if the guy that just killed you at NWAF tells you to "Enjoy the beach!". Then you started the long trek North again. Spawning on the coast used to be a bad thing and I hope the mentality eventually gets there again. -

IReadTheAgreement replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
I'm a pretty firm believer in spawning only on the coast. Isn't that the DayZ lore anyway? You're ship capsized and you ended up on the coast unsure of where you are with little on you? Spawning all along the coast: Definitely Spawning inland: Nope -
I don't pick it up much, but I've never even thought about using disinfectant as a portable suicide. Thanks for the good idea.

Hey devs disregard the negative posters in this thread. They generally have nothing better to do. 2 million is a milestone you probably didn't even think you'd achieve going into the making of this game. Have a beer or two tonight. You've earned it.

In the mod I remember a prized possession was a Mountain Dew. It was just the same as every other soda but it was a bit more rare than a Coke or Pepsi. People would rather hold onto them than drink them just because of that. Anyone else want certain items in SA that, while meaningless in the big scheme, are rare and hard to find? If so, ideas?

Small, meaningless, yet rare items
IReadTheAgreement replied to IReadTheAgreement's topic in General Discussion
Back when my clan was still actively playing in the mod we'd always hoard mountain dews. We'd always have one on us and would even store them in our tents. Different DayZ ideologies I suppose. -

Agree 100%. Maybe this could be more of an extra "after the bugs are worked out in beta" thing. -
I finally have my precious, sweet Binoculars
IReadTheAgreement replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
I've run across so many binoculars at the NWAF I couldn't even give you a count. Never found them in the tents but I've found a few in the ATC and I found 2 in one hanger once. Good luck! -
I found a blood kit and tested myself to find out that I had -O blood type. How would I go about finding a reliable DayZ medic who would use it to help other survivors? I have plenty of food and drink so I could give at least a few bags of blood. I have never ventured into the medic side of the game and think it would be interesting.
-
Because this is DayZ forums. I took it wrong. My bad.
-
If you noticed before the "find your medic here" it says "Need medical assistance in DayZ SA?". I don't need assistance. I'm trying to assist any medics that are lurking these forums and hoping someone may know a good way to inform legitimate medics on DayZ of someone willing to give up some -O blood. I guess snarkyness is to be expected on these forums. Thanks to the other friendly replies.

For whatever reason I'm constantly thinking of Tom Waits songs while running through high volume player areas. What song or musician does your mind go to in times like that? Reference:

Every time I come to this forum I regret doing so.

The only one being naive here is you. The self entitlement and lack of responsibility for your own purchase you show is startling.
