So, after not playing this for 6-8 months, I come back to see the progress... but seems that DayZ's trash Dev's have royally screwed over the games performance even more so. I find it sad that I 'use' to be able to play this game just fine, with minimal lag in cities, but now, even after more moths of development, I start playing and after about two minutes, I get a video lag spike in-game and my FPS drops to 0 and does not recover. Hey DayZ Dev's... you guys test this shit or you just throw it out there? WAY TO GO! Anyways, I would ask for support, but the Dev's will go "I dunno" and the community will only ask for system specs... This game has turned into even more trash! Unplayable trash! I come back after nearly a year to this shit? Guess it should have been expected. Again, way to go!! It's great to have all these new items in this totally unplayable game...

oh, and btw, I come back to a warning from the moderators. I laugh at you mods. SUCK IT! This game has issues, and I'm sorry that these dev's blow, but you shouldn't issue warnings for people stating facts. Fact, I could play a year ago just fine... I cannot play today... EQUALS - REALLY SHITTY DEVELOPERS!! Seems they are going backwards, and De-Developing the game... HAHA, get it? Fanboy uslesless moderators... you'll only truly be happy sharing a bed with the Dev's.

Top quality hacking - prepubescent boy
VoidingNixx replied to conan the librarian's topic in General Discussion
Y'know, there is a very very simple fix to this, which is beyond the Dev's comprehension at this time. In fact, the code would be so small and simple, but yet, the Dev's still can't figure it out. ADD DEATH MESSAGES ASAP! Let people know who killed them, give the server admins a way to actually ban these fucking hackers! If a player receives too many server bans in a short period of time, they should automajically be given a global ban. Simple!!!! VERY SIMPLE!!! Yet, they will not add the lil' piece of code to help the server admins. -
So, I should perhaps post this in a more suiting category. I would like to introduce everyone to 'The Gopher'!! The Gopher, is quite possibly the worst player in DayZ. Anyways, to see The Gopher in action, I am providing the link below. Every time I watch this video, I gotta laugh... I know the Gopher only wanted to make a friend, since he has absolutely none, but he has not yet realized how to go about doing this successfully. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N5kpLZ4bVw&feature=youtu.be

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
VoidingNixx replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
Remember last weekend, that server we were on, where every single person we killed had hacked ammo? We started with not much, but at the end of the night, had unlimited M4 ammo mags, unlimited SKS ammo stacks, automatic shotguns, unlimited revolver, etc....... it was sooooooooooo, what's the other word for "not-awesome?" -

So, one of my squadies made this vid and uploaded it... I figured I'd share here to once again emphasize how much of a sad state this game is in...so sad in fact, that majority of the group I play with has moved to Arma 3 mods... oh wait, I forgot, they're waiting until they are closer to a full release to actually fix anything, which at that point, there will be millions of documented bugs, so about two years after their 'full release', this game 'MAY' be playable... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N5kpLZ4bVw&feature=youtu.be -
So, cannot really figure out why this game runs so badly for me. I'm at 1920x1080 res. trying to play this game, with only two settings on normal, and everything else set to low, very low, or disabled... yet, in cities, I can only achieve about 15-25 FPS... After benchmarking this system, I cannot find a bottleneck on the system. The CPU, RAM, nor GPU are working at their max potentials... I'm just wondering why.... why am I not hitting 90+% on my system, why is this game lagging without even pushing the system and using the available resources? Here's a screenshot showing how idle the system is. The CPU never really hits above 68% on any of the cores, the GPU stays at around 30% constantly, and RAM is always at around 50%. So, what needs to be done to have this game use more?

It's almost like my system is saying "meh, that's good enough..." Seriously, it's like hitting a wall for no reason. Like, there is some cap on the system...

When Zombie A.I. is finished, I would like to see players turn into zombies. Y'know that 10 minute thing we have now and then bodies disappear... I'd like to see the body get up after that 10 minutes and turn into a Zombie A.I. Keeping all gear except for the weapons (or anything else in the hand). Anything not looted from the corpse should be on the Zombie A.I. and lootable when killing the zombie. Also, the Zombie should keep the skin (gear/equipment graphics) of that actual player model of when it was dead. Would LOVE to see this. Also, 'Hide Body' is a lame option. Cannot wait to see that removed. Let those corpses pile up! It really does show how much work us bandits put in. >;)

Zombie pushing player through walls
VoidingNixx replied to Zing Freelancer's topic in General Discussion
You can go prone and try to get out. Usually that works. If you cannot go prone or vault out thru a wall, just keep running around aimlessly inside the structure and usually you'll hit something which will give you some crippling damage... then you can probably crawl out. Yesterday, one of my squadies was on the middle floor of the ATC at NEAF with me, and he pushed me into the wall, I kid you not, the building shot me out behind it like 30 feet and insta-gibb'd me! Walls in this game are biggie-brokie! That's why I try to stay away from all of them! Find me a good tree somewhere. ^-^ -
You sir, are correct... but usually we jump into the thick of it and all get shot up and all need to bandage. hahaha ;)

This OP is funny. You guys act like this team has a crapload of work on them. Guess what... it's not their engine. Guess what... they already had a foundation for the game... guess what... they have enough resources to be much farther than this by now. I don't really care if this is an Alpha or not, the patches should improve the game little by little, but it seems that each patch is making the game worse and worse... "Alpha" is no excuse for bad coding and bad systems. Alpha is where they should have the basic game structure in place... this isn't even the case... not even close. This feels more like a pre-pre-alpha version of a game.

Next patch is in about 3 months. It will deliver one new outfit and one new weapon. After that patch, you'll need to wait 6 months for the next one, which will bring two new outfits. No bug fixes or stability improvements for another two years.

This game kinda blows... there, I said it! Mods, feel free to move this thread to the graveyard, since fanboi's will be fanboi's... It seems the Dev's wish to win people over with useless crap such as weapons and clothing, instead of fixing serious issues. How many patches have they released now, just trying to deal with the lag? There is still so much lag in the game and rubberbanding. Trying to draw/switch weapons takes forever, eating food/bandaging finishes the animations, but takes like 60 seconds to finish the process. Also, doesn't seem any measures are being taken for the glitching/hacking, which is running RAMPANT in this game. People being in the hidden room in the jails is common place. I don't know how many speed hackers I've seen, where they move faster than me sprinting while they're in the prone. The time between the patches, and how little the patches actually deliver, is quite laughable. It takes them 1-2 months to add a pair of semi-broken binoculars, a broken composite bow, and a crossbow. Seriously, where are the fixes for performance? If you are a programmer for a living, and you have a product, this should be one of your TOP PRIORITIES, is having something which runs correctly and smoothly. Screw all the eye-candy. I want something playable. In the end, this is a game which some 'modders' are trying to create, but I don't think they'll ever have the skill to pull it off. The results they've shown thus far compared to all the talk they've given, does not match. They can tell me all they want how much awesome this game will be, but they've not shown it yet, not even close. For an alpha, all I see is a copy + paste from the mod, onto an engine which is not there own, with minor cosmetic changes. Nothing has really been fixed or improved, and I doubt it ever will. There are so many little things which they could fix immediately, which would not be hard to code, or implement temporarily until they have a more stable and working system, but they lack the common sense to carry forth with working systems. Example: They now have an 'Eat All' in the game, where is the 'Drink All'? FFS, how much more difficult is this to add? The code should pratically be the same. It's just pure laziness on the side of the developers, either that, or bad foresight. But don't worry guys, next patch, a couple newly colored hard-hats, and maybe, the composite bow which 'should have' already been in and working since last patch, will get fixed, so all is well! ;)

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
VoidingNixx replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
So, we were a 10 man squad tonight. Easily taken out within' 5 minutes by one person, shooting thru walls and shooting at us when they had no vision. Basically, they just ran around with automatic fire, taking us out multiples at a time. Anyways, really kind of lame when you spend time gearing up and want to have fun with your squad, and then you run into a lame cheater who takes out 10 people with no problem at all, shooting thru everything like it is paper and seeing every single person in the area. Hopefully, part of the dev team will put a priority on these hackers, and wall glitching, etc... etc... Really really ruins the game... -
I am resorting a deleted post. Why this post was deleted is beyond me. So, I'm revising it just a tad and posting on a different section. Suggestion: Fix A.I. so it works properly. Ok, first, to start off, lemme get this off my chest. This has to be the WORST AI ever used in a game, which is being used as the current Zombie A.I. I know this is alpha, but still, I feel that anything put into a game should only improve it towards the finished product, not set the game back and purposefully annoy people with a poorly thought-out concept. The respawning would be fine, if it were random, gradual, and happened at a longer range. How it is currently is just idiotic. Now, don't all go "they've acknowledged this" or "they tweeted about different changes", because I do not care about 'what might be', but only care about 'what is'. Currently, the Zombie respawn is just about game breaking.... there is NO WAY to kill them without respawn and instant aggro onto your character. You hit them with an axe, they respawn, you shoot them, they respawn, they kill themselves off a cliff, and guess what, ZOMBIES RESPAWN! You get whacked once and possibly break your legs, you are screwed, because it's a never-ending cycle unless you can out-run them. You need a second to bandage? The area looks clear? NOPE, RESPAWN RIGHT BEHIND YOU!! So, before I get to my story of why this game is nearly unplayable for me at this point, I'll give a video which sums up the current Zombie A.I. and respawning, which I think should be addressed immediately... but that could just be me. So, story time now... I'm in this jail, its location will remain withheld, and I hear zombie aggro, and I think they're coming for me. I drop my 2nd primary and come out of one of the jail rooms with an axe, only to encounter a player, bleeding heavily, with 2-3 zombies on his butt. He is slinging an M4, and now I'm worried. I run out of the jail and take cover, pulling out a pistol for a "close encounter." Running back into the jail for my dropped M4, I pass my contact in crouched position on top of the steps. We exchange words, and he said something like, friendly friendly, do you want supplies? We've all heard this before, am I right? I run out of the jail just worried about gettin' out of the first floor, where I have no cover. He has the high ground and positioned in a spot which I cannot take even if I wanted to do so. I run out to the forest outside just glad I'm not riddled with holes and my pristine autumn hunter pants are still pristine. I lay in wait, hoping that after a few minutes, I will be safe, and able to continue on my journey of collecting food and water to prolong my existence... however, this is not the case. I hear gunshots... one... two... a few more in succession. Mr. M4 is firing at something. A few seconds later, I see a figure come running down the hill not even 200 meters from me. Phew, he is shooting zombies, hasn't seen me, and I still feel kind of safe. He drops one zombie, two zombie, three and four, he seems to be enjoying himself... I feel happy that someone can find such amusement in the zombie apocalypse... it makes me feel as if there is still hope... After about a minute, he is still in the area. I feel myself gettin' a bit nervous again. Did he see me run this way? Is he hunting me? Is Mr. Friendly M4 not so friendly afterall? The only comfort I find is the fact that I have a bit of cover which I can observe from, and hopefully stay safe until he has a fill of slaughtering zombies. Then, *WHACK*, what is this? I am randomly hit by a zombie. Wait, another zombie aggros from afar. It appears that Mr. M4 is causing respawns on me just being in the area. My safe haven, my stealthy cover, is gone. I have become a target with two zombies chasing me, which were not previously in my area. He is fully geared and at this point can probably see me clearly and shoot me in my back. Tactics, stealth, cover, all goes out the window. Zombies coming from out of nowhere makes it where I should have just ran up behind the guy and took a mouth full of 5.56, because just being in the area of zombie killing means, there is no escape for you as well. Anyways, this was my experience today. It was very aggrevating that I had retarded zombies aggroing onto my chracter, which was prone and not even moving, from someone 200-300 meters away killing zombies like crazy. I don't mind that zombies are fast, I do not mind if zombies attack in numbers or if they hit hard... what really irritates me is the fact that they spawn next to me and aggro on me, when they weren't originally there. If they're gonna respawn and instantly aggro, it should be on the person who is killing them. All-in-all, I just wanted to express my feelings on the issue of the A.I. and respawning of Zombies. It's a horrid system, and I'm pretty sure if a little bit of common sesne went into it to begin with, it would be 1,000x better. Yes, it's alpha, but why add such a stupid system to begin with? Is this what they're planning for the full game, is non-stop respawning of zombies next to players? Where once you have aggro, you are locked down fighting zombies until someone else pops you with a long range?? Bad system is bad...

I feel your pain. Server reboots and crappy admins suck. What I do to avoid this, is favorite all the servers I like, and try to only play on those servers. This way, it's easier to avoid servers with crappy admins and such. Try finding and favoriting some good servers where you do not have to deal with such hassels. That's the only advice I could give. I hope your future adventures are better!

It would be nice to see a mechanic similar to Rainbow Six gameplay, for doors and such, if that is possible to add. You use to be able to fully open a door, or mouse-wheel it to open/close the door in increments. Where the game is currently, I would be happy just to have a sound for when doors open/close. But I totally agree with you. It would be nice to have a system like the one you have mentioned.

Can you trust a stranger with a loaded gun?
VoidingNixx replied to SentencedToBurn's topic in General Discussion
I do not believe you can ever trust a stranger with a gun. They have that gun for a reason. Now, don't misunderstand, I think you can talk to them, trade, be friendly, but I would never fully trust them. I'd always be expecting them to shoot at any time and be ready to shoot back. The only time I think I would come close to trusting someone, is if I know they could've gunned me down in the back and they decided to talk to me first without a weapon pointed at me... but I think I'd still be ready to fire. -
I like the servers which advertise PvE, Friendly, No Bandits, it makes me giggle. Bandits would be a blessing for them to have, because I am not a bandit, I am a murderer. I do not want your stuff, I just want to shoot you in the face!! >;) ...and I use to be so good... but I fell in with the wrong crowd....

Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
VoidingNixx replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
I figured I would get flamers on this thread. Afterall, I merely pointed out how the current system is, and my disappointment towards a poorly engineered system. I figured I'd step on a few fanboy toes. Just because it is Alpha, doesn't mean systems should be intergrated without thought. Testing is what dev and experimental servers are for. It seems this has passed and this A.I. is acceptable, because it has progressed farther than the experimental server. Sorry that everything can't be sunshine and lolipops people, but the first step to fixing a problem, is acknowledging that there is a problem... not just accepting what you get. What kind of low quality games would we have if no one gave any kind of feedback, good or bad? -

Rolling Update Rev - 0.43.116251
VoidingNixx replied to Hicks_206 (DayZ)'s topic in News & Announcements
*sigh* I started playing this just the other week. The realistic nature of this game really appealed to me, since there are not many out there which reach these heights. So seeing this in the patch-notes makes me *sigh*.... I really hope this is added back and they don't try to go with a COD model for this game... because then, DayZ would just turn into crap and worthless...
