Look for police stations and two story buildings with a wooden enclosed balcony over the front door in the towns. These will yield you weapons and ammo. As to the spawning of pistols...I have literally carried three different pistols around for hours repeatedly finding the only ammo type that doesn't fit into any of them. I have also run around for hours with three pistols loaded with one bullet in each, as I search for clips. If anything about weapon spawning needs to change its the lack of weapons like axes and hoes found in spawn zones.

Suggestion (for release or open beta) When your character fires the first bullet or initiates combat leading to the death of a fellow player (thus becoming a “Bandit”), upon that players next three character re-spawns he arrives without flashlight or battery, hungry and dehydrated. Characters that have become “Hero” will re-spawn with a weak weapon, food and hydrated.

The upside for being a hero is almost nonexistent, where as the upside for becoming a bandit is sky high. Though we would like to believe that all of humanity would devolve into serial killers in terms of this game situation, the truth is that we would not. The idea that I forwarded above would simply act as a karmatic payback for good deeds done and payback for bad deeds done. The difference between starting a little hungrier isn't that great and would not effect any ex-bandit that greatly. If the purity of the game is your goal and true to life realism important, then load the game, play until the moment you get killed and then purge the game from your computer never to be played again. The non-realistic fact is that you are reborn over and over, which eliminates the need to band together out of survival necessity and become a group of "heroes". The reality is that the vast majority of us would not deteriorate into animals killing each other for a can of beans. More likely is the idea that we would band together to kill zombies for that can of beans. The idea of the post above was simply to injects a degree of moral retribution for immoral acts.

I had a pain in my leg for some time, then a zombie attacked and my character went prone. I could not regain my upright position and the message said something about a terrible pain in my leg. The zombie continued to attack me while I injected my morphine. Once the morphine worked I got up and wacked the zombie dead, but I was bleeding badly. First question; Is there something I can do to remove the pain in my leg when it appears and before I'm attacked? Second question; How in the hell did a zombie hit me hard enough, with one blow to inflict that much damage to my leg, causing me to go prone in the first place? Now here's the part that pisses me off. I will grant the game the ability to have a zombie hit me with a massive blow now and again. I will also grant that a zombie attack can cause bleeding, but how is it...and this is my third question...how is it that 4 separate, 100% pristine bandages are now so badly damaged after this attack, that not one of them was usable? I bleed to death because of some BS glitch that changed every 100% pristine bandage in my pack to badly damaged.

I recently posted with the same title. The text was one word "sewers". Now I thought that was all that needed to be said but apparently certain moderators (who will remain un-named) require more verbiage. So here you go and I hope that the additional verbiage is satisfactory. I thought that I would save some time and simply state the idea with the one word "sewers", allowing the imagination of the readers to fill in the rest...my bad. Sewers that run under the cities. Dark grimy tunnels that may or may not harbor zombies. Pitch black caves that will give your character some use for that flashlight they foist into everyone's hands when they spawn. I thought one word would sum all of this up and save time but clearly the imaginations of some require prodding.

Ok, thanks. You would think that the game would say something like "You need a splint" or "Your leg is broken", but for it to say your "healthy" is a little ridicules...your arm and leg are broken, how healthy can you be?
-
Bad news my friend...ignoring it is what got me into that position in the first place. I do not believe the zombie would have hit me hard enough to cause me to go prone if I had not been in pain. BTW my character at the time was healthy (Hydrated and energized)

So if I receive a message saying that I have a pain in my leg, it means its broken? Why wouldn't the message say "your leg is broken"? Still doesn't explain why my bandages all went bad.

1) How close do I need to be to see someone? I have a scope but I can't see the zombies from a fairly good distance. 2) I paid steam so that I could play alfa, will I be charged again when the game goes public or am I good for the life of the game?

Since the patch I have heard zombie noises all the time, in the woods far away from towns, in the fields no where near any structure. Never a zombie, only the noise. Hosts don't seem to want to host. I'm a noob but I thought regular servers were daytime always and hardcore went to night (I could be wrong). My weapon is in my hands but now I have to hit the space key or I can't attack. Zombies cause far more damage then they used to. Is all of this attributable to the patch?

1) Can I run more then one character? If so how please? 2) how do you trade? Simply leave it on the ground? 3) Since this is alfa I am assuming that duct tape, matches, wood and the like are useless...am I right or wrong? 4) How do I fill my canteen from a well or is it even possible at this point? 5) Game seems fairly easy (not to many zombies inland and very few other players) am I on the wrong server? I know I'm being a noob but the answers would help, thank you in advance.
