I was unsure about the next gen consoles myself, but i recently got a cheap PS4, and is a beautiful machine, in fact it feels more like a PC than a console.

Running everywhere does not force killing yourself.. but you will die if you burn you calories to fast. Being cold doesn't force killing yourself.. what you will die if you can't find a way to be warm..in many ways insanity ins't that different...killing people doesn't force killing yourself.. but insanity will.

They already implemented a calories burning system that will kill you if you run everywhere, to stop people from moving across the map to fast..a temperature and weather system that will kill you if can't find a way to warm yourself up, to make people "think" more about their actions. So i won't hold my breath if i was you... and insanity system could be already in the table.

You realize that the majority of serial killers are insane... right ? Try google...you'll see that people that kills repetitively are either insane. . or end up insane.

So what is you story then ? ... - Today i server hopped 20 times and killed 100 unarmed people.. i still have 1,000 bullets left that i found in a military base when i server hopped 10 times...tomorrow i planning to server hop another 20 times and kill another 200 unarmed people... *End of Entry"

Dude...being an asshole is something that should be punishable, in a game or not.... and "exploiting" the game mechanics to be moron is something that shouldn't be allowed.

You mean killing freshSPAWNS, and server hopping snipers that camps one spot across multiple servers... right ? That is abusing the game mechanics and should be punished .

I think what i suggested is very fair..the only people will have a problem with it is freshspawn killers and camping snipers. Everyone else shouldn't have any problems managing their sanity.

Could also have a system that your slowly recover your sanity if you don't kill anyone for sometime, lets say you kill 10 people, you starting to go insane..but if you don't kill anyone for 3 days you start to recover some of your sanity..and the count stars to slowly go back to normal.

Still.. killing is killing, even in self-defence ... it will make people think twice before killing, and only do it when isn't any other options.

Yeah insanity....but more in the lines that if you kill X amount of people.. you character starts to suffer from depression, slowly losing your mind.. and eventually shooting yourself in the head. A bit like a count down... one more kill... and you can't cope with it any more.

Very much this...it seems that server hopping is here to stay, at least that BI decides to do something drastic...like going for a MMO type of game in which they host their own servers and they have total control of what is going on..but i agree, private hives will be the solution to a lot of problems. -

Troll the forums...watch TV, ..listen to music, i go to the toilet a lot for some reason.. i make phone calls ..go for a cig....i make a pie...clean my house and the neighbours house..i do some gardening...pick my nose..some farting.....i count how many cracks are in my walls .. you know.. the normal things you do when playing DayZ. -

Even if that was part of the game.....avoiding getting injured to often will make you live longer, not that different from real life.. i have some very nasty injuries from when i was younger, and even that they are heal now.. is still feel them when is cold, or when i do specific things. -
It should be hard, yes....you should work hard to survive, yes...it should take hours of game-play and experience to know where to find food, YES...but server hopping and online maps shouldn't be a "short cut"... Less cans of food and more living off the land is what we need...more hand crafted weapons and less guns and ammo.

Increase walking/running speed while on incline

Already done in Experimental...it's different running speeds depending of how stiff the hill is...you only completely slow down in super stiff hills.
