I will love to have something like this... it will make the game more "realistic" with characters having distinctive characteristics, it may even reduce the KoSing a bit if you can recognise people by how they look. It will also be cool to have some old people and kids running around.. well.. the kids... not the old people.... :huh:

People already have that impression :P I guess all the different type of weapons, with lots of ammo, explosives, military gear and camps, weapon attachments, and people shooting each other all the time... is giving that impression...it started a survival game, but is starting to look more and more like another Arma game.

You can't never have to much storage in my opinion..but i'm no sure about running DayZ and the OS in the same ssd. In general i never run programs in the same SSD as the OS, because security.. and trying to keep my OS as fast as possible. But if you have the cash.. i guess you could get a SSD just for DayZ.

I know it seems to be cooler in the North, also at altitude, (the higher you up the cooler it is).. rain affects you temperature rapidly. No sure about night time because i haven't been in any night servers.. but it seems to be more than one factor that affects how cold you are, and how fast you cold down.

Persistent servers have a very low loot spawn rate...i literally gone through full towns that had NOTHING, not even a pair of trainers.. things still spawn, but is a lot harder to find stuff.. i like it personally, but i'm a bit masochistic . -
Only if they make sniping harder....it should be more variables affecting Sniping... weather temperature, elevation, wind direction and strength, ammunition and weapon condition, and scope calibration. Then you can have as many sniper rifles as you want.

The "condition" of you clothing will also affect how fast you cooling down...which is a bit annoying because is no way to patch the normal Jackets ( the one you have in you pic ). -

Haha.. yeah...but you temperature is more manageable with warm clothing, even if it drops to 35 you still will be fine for a while before you need to start a fire again... without warm clothing is hell... which is what people is noticing. I tested this in Experimental..once most of you body is cover with pristine warm clothing is very easy to manage you temperature. -

Nah. it just settles down once you have warm clothing.. you temperature becomes more "manageable", and you stop losing health so rapidly.. you just have to get through that barrier at the start as a newspawn... it makes dying a pain in the ass, because you know what is coming as a newspawn.... genius if you ask me....they just added more "value" to staying alive. -

You have to play smarter...it took me dying about 6 times in a row to realize that you "can't" play the game as before. You need to look after yourself more.. is an "extra" factor to worry about now, after i died the 6th time i completely changed my approach, i made finding warm clothing my top priority... that have totally change the way i play, i am in a hurry now... every second counts. -
Well, people are going to be to busy trying to stay alive .. also a "ruined" coat will do you little good, i personally will ask that person to share the coat with me for a while to we can find another one...

You should be available to use books as insulation, put the pages inside you clothing to trap the heat coming out from you body.... Devs ???

I find pants everywhere ... i like pants.... but yeah, nice warm coats are hard to find in the persistent servers. i just found a pristine one and i feel like i won the lottery.

That is connected to hypothermia...or to me more specific.. "being cold", you health drops as you getting cooler, so when you eat you just recovering the health you just lost. Warm clothing is you best friend right now, even more than food. As soon as you spawn look for a way to warm up immediately. Is a nice challenge by the way.. i truly enjoying it.

I actually laughed like mad just now when i died of starvation after eating 10 apples..with the "You slowly warming up" message after finding a nice coat... :lol: But THAT is part of the Alpha, so i don't mind...I only rage like mad when i get KoS, because that isn't part of the "testing".

It takes about 4-5 cans to full yourself up...but you shouldn't died after 3 cans, i think "some" things are bugged for some people...like for example, apples do nothing to me, but it does to other people.

No with me it doesn't..in fact, i don't even bother with apples any more... is faster to just look for cans.

Yeah, cans full you up very quick....but that apples... and that berries... come on.. they should have "some" nutritional value.

I think apples and berries still a bit bugged...i ate about 10 apples just now and lots of berries.. and is like i was eating nothing.

Honestly... i know how to get there.. i just suck at directions. I think far,far North East.

Is no the cold that killed me.. was the food, in fact i found a nice warm coat "just" before i died of starvation.
