Server hopping doesn't counts by the way..i never change servers because it breaks the immersion for me, and i always manage to survive even in servers that have practically no loot. I always try to play in the most "pure" form....no online maps, no reddit asking where the loot is..not Team Speak... just me and the game.

Nah... you don't get it... when people says is "no loot", they mean exactly that..i normally the first one to say what you saying, and i also been playing long enough to know the strategies as you want to call them.. i been playing in the Persistent servers in Stable for a "challenge" for fuck's sake..and those servers are always empty. The calories burning is disproportional at the moment, and for once.. people aren't exaggerating ..i know... shocking....

Yeah, the problem is the "barrier" before you become self-sufficient...once you have everything you need to survive, of course is easy. But i assuming you got your gear at the start of the 0.50... right ? The loot isn't spawning regularly any more.. which means is a huge barrier for freshspawns right now... If a bit like if you "Lucky" you may survive..but you should also be available to use your skills..not just "luck". Also...you shouldn't need to server hop to survive.. that should never be part of the mechanics.

I have no problems with the Zombies... with the mouse acceleration fixed, and the hitbox being a lot better, i killing them very easily. The problem is the calories burning V's distance travelled ratio, that needs some adjusting.. not a lot thought.. just "some" adjusting.

The problem is, the north-west is to far away if you are in the south... depending on where you spawn some areas are harder to reach, *hint*... why i said it needs some "balancing", the calories burning needs some adjusting.

Actually.. my guess is, that piles of crap will be lootable soon, and you may find medical supplies or other stuff depending on the pile.

Is the same in the persistent servers in Stable..the loot respawn reaches some type of cap, and it becomes harder and harder to find loot. I was ok in the Stable servers, but in the Experimental you die to fast... it needs some balancing.

You can always play for an hour or so.. maybe you get lucky. But i give up after i realize that the farther inland areas are unreachable at the moment.

Sadly no..... :( But...i did enjoy coming across that pile of medical stuff, it really felt like it was an infection nearby. I also saw other ones.. like this one ;

Yeah. i was feeling a bit warm you know... :P But yeah.. Experimental is very Experimental right now.... :D

Yeah... loot isn't spawning in the experimental servers, and the places where it could be loot are to far inland, so you die before you can get there... that was happening in the persistent servers in Stable too, but it seems to be worst in 0.50 I'm sure is loot in there.. is just unreachable at the moment.

Well.. it isn't really a background story that leads to "why" you start in the coast.. you could easily been in a ship for months, or even years.. i always like to use "Rify" as the reason why i start in the coast. -

That is just desync....is a lot better in 0.50..killed a Zombie in 5 punches to head, which got me a bit by surprise..i carried on hitting the dead Zombie for another 2 minutes thinking that he wasn't dead yet... -

I have played in Experimental... and is nothing like most of you are saying..in fact is a more realistic run.. tired, exhausted, thirsty, hungry... under stress.. cold...you wont run like an athlete under that circumstances. -

Yeah... like i said, slow zombies are only a threat in movies.. in games not so much, specially in open world games where you have lots of space to run. They work better in lineal games in which you have little or not space to move.. like The Last of Us... or even Half Life 2... -
Is about half way through "Alpha".. which is just adding all the basic stuff. But isn't 50% of the game.. even in beta and after release they will still be adding stuff to it..so if i have to guess.. maybe 25-30% complete ? Hard to know really, only the Devs will know and they wont give us that information.

Probably for immersion.. after all we are "civilians", probably already tired when you freshspawn....have you tried running when you already exhausted ? Is not a nice experience, and you will look very silly. -

Is a tired looking run.. i bet you when weight starts to affect your stamina..that animation will progressively get more and more exaggerated, to eventually you stop in your knees.. or collapse in the floor in exhaustion. -
Yeah, i have that problem with apples too...the calories are disproportional to the time consumed looking for them, the time it takes to find "one" apple, you could potentially find a can of beans in the same time. - Either shorten the animation.. so it doesn't takes 5-10 minutes to find one apple. or - Make the apples drop more frequently.

Yeah.. i tried to make a bow that way once.. it nearly took my eye off.. rope tied to a stick doesn't makes a good bow, i can painfully confirm that.
