Why that laptop have "improbable" on it ?.... hmmm....how weird.....I know, trust me to notice that.... :D I didn't watch the full hour, just the first 10 minutes...it sounds that they doing a lot more than just working in a new engine, i wonder how long the overhaul is going to be.

Isn't impossible...it just takes some skills and "patience". I blame the "aim-assist" in consoles...it makes people lazy gamers. :P

How does everyone here break up the DayZ monotony?
Cpanther replied to karlkurtz32's topic in General Discussion
I watch TV when my character is sitting in his ass saying; " I have cramps in my legs ".. or i play a different game in my PS3 and pretend that is part of DayZ.... -
Oh, look... one of this threads.... Of course DayZ is more PvE than PvP....how you propose they make a "survival" game in which the "environment" isn't a threat ?

How is games like Planetside 2 able to have thousands of players at the same time?
Cpanther replied to d.walker43's topic in General Discussion
That's an easy one....Planetside 2 uses textures that repeats over and over again, that allows for a bigger map with more players... but it makes everything look the same. DayZ uses a lot more 3D models and textures, which is why it looks more "realistic" with more different looking areas. Wait for H1Z1 and you typical MMO set up.. and you will see the difference. -
Some of you RAM is reserved for the OS and background services, is the same in every computer. But the most important thing is the speed of your RAM.
-
2ghz is to low for DayZ.. that's for sure...I have 3.20ghz and my CPU is overtaxed in DayZ.

What ? Beer doesn't dehydrate you... is 97% water....

Private Shards with 0.49? Features? Price?
Cpanther replied to seifeler's topic in General Discussion
Yeah..give admins to much power and it becomes the Wild West. Also.. you don't want everyone playing in their own private heavens..no point on having 1,000,000 servers with only 2 people playing in each of them. -
You mean the days when you needed a new graphic card every year, more RAM every couple of years.. and a new computer every 3 years ? That was PC hell.. never again... please...I guess consoles are good for "something".... <_<

I understand the idea of playing the game how ever you want to played...but i am the only one that thinks that makes things look messy ? To many people trying to impose their game style into the game makes everything messy, and without order or direction. What you guys think ?
-
Play as you want, or "messy" game mechanics ?
Cpanther replied to Cpanther's topic in General Discussion
That's ok... half of the times i don't understand what i mean... no worries.... I meant.. do you feel the game should have more "direction", or is ok to have messy game mechanics so people can play how ever they want. ? -
Right..i see... some times is hard to tell what is an exploit and what is a hack...

Starting to think I'm too nice of a player.
Cpanther replied to OptimumVision's topic in General Discussion
Noob.... everyone knows that "friendly" means....." Kill me or die". :P -
Tents. What are they good for? Absolutely Nuttin
Cpanther replied to RAM-bo4250's topic in General Discussion
Surely is takes a while to re-stock your tent after you die..you may gear up fast, but then you will need to replace the stuff you had in your tent. What we talking here... 3-4 hours to re-stock your tent every time you die ? it will take you about the same time to just gear up as a fresh spawn. In the long term using tents in that way will be unrealistic. -
What a mess ... seriously... that is so messy, is like watching Unreal Tournament with half naked dudes and "realistic" mechanics....
-
Which hack you talking about ?...i trying to see one... but....i can only see that respawn bug exploit...
-
At the moment the game is VERY CPU demanding ...try lowering everything that is related to processing.. like shadows for example.

A couple new things from this weeks Status Report
Cpanther replied to Forrelist's topic in General Discussion
Yes..is mostly psychological, but our brain controls our body.. to the point that a glass of Vodka can make you sweat..or a cigarette can give you confidence and relax your muscles..Also... most drugs are also "psychological" like weed for example. -

Molotov cocktail with vodka bottles ?.....is only one thing Vodka is good for, to keep warm when is cold, and getting drunk in the process. I think Vodka is most likely connected to regulating your body temperature. -
A trade centre will fix that.. policed by players, of course..but you will need to trade your stuff somewhere, and that area will most likely be guarded by players.
-
Actually.. when ammo and weapons are more rare.. and food is harder to find.. and Zombies are a "real" threat...People will need to think more "smarter".
-
You will be shock the things you can put in a wallet.... - Pills - Hooks - Maps - Photos - Small pencil - Feathers - Precision tools - Compass - Watches - Screws - Nails - Small Scissors - Needles And many other things....
