2.1 is a very low rating.. normally the rating is determined by you lower score, so something in your computer is seriously out of date.

You strafing in the top of a tower like you are playing a twitch shooter...DayZ isn't design for that type of game play.

Definitely the type of thing i can imagine people doing, i can imagine people salivating at the possibility of being available to crash a full server... the ultimate griefing.

I think is very clear..the DayZ engine is going to be a "remake" of the Arma engine by the people that made that engine in the first place...Bohemia Interactive. Every time you start the game what you see ? the Bohemia Interactive logo ?... or Dean Hall logo ?

The only problem is the Dean is not making the salad, is just telling BI the ingredients needed to make his salad..BI is just making a "new" recipe with that ingredients. Everyone seems to think that Dean is making the game... he is just the director in the orchestra, BI is composing the melody.

Yeah, i disagree with the starting gear too...starting with nothing feels more realistic, if an Apocalypse was to happen tomorrow i seriously doubt people will have some crackers and a bottle of soda in their pockets... actually, even the torch and battery is a bit weird, a wallet will be far more realistic.

I played in US servers yesterday from the EU, and... i was actually nicely surprise, no lag or desync with a ping of nearly 200, they definitely got the network issues fixed big time, well in some servers anyway.

You obviously missed the point...DayZ Standalone isn't the mod or Arma game.. or any other game where guns are the main focus. Why you think you start playing the game with only a torch and a battery ? instead of a fully loaded gun with ammo.

Ok, so... this debate of people not using a mic and getting KoSed is getting old. You NEVER going to make everyone use a mic, for lots of different reasons. We need a "Compromise" here.. something that will fix the problem without discriminating a portion of the community. So here is what i propose..a Hot Keys system with pre-set communication phrases.. like; - I am friendly - Surrender - Hello - Bye - Don't shoot - I surrender All the basic first encounter phrases that people use the most. So.. you come across someone..you press .. lets say Numpad 1 and you characters says; " I am Friendly", after that the chat can develop either way.. mic or not mic.

Just look at the EU servers... most of them are UK based.. few German ones.. few France.. which means that the majority of people have no where to go.. except for servers where no one speaks their language.. so..how you expect that people to communicate ? You guys always fails to see the bigger picture with you MIC dreams.

The problem is that for some people is not just a matter of "using your own voice"..some people have families, they live with other people, they don't like talking to strangers, maybe they can type English but their accent is to strong and people can't understand them...dude... one million and one reasons. I just can't see why people can't understand something so simple......

And you just find all that weapons hanging around everywhere in the end of world...right ? Like a huge shop where you can find any weapon you want. Is already bad enough in my opinion, the Devs are spending far to much time adding every single weapon imaginable ... but not enough time adding things to use that weapons on. Soon if going to be so much fire power that bullets are just going to fly across the map none stop.

I just hope they add nukes one day, so i can blow everyone to oblivion and end humanity's miserable existence in this planet... i just feel a bit sorry for the Zombies, poor things.

Actually, that will very cool if you can pre-set your own phrases to fit with your personality...but obviously, as always..people are going to find a problem with that too.

To be clear.. if someone "wants" to communicate with you, it will find a way.. either mic, typing, or gestures... if someone wants to kill you, it will kill you whatever you say, type, or do.

So what you saying is... that KoSing have nothing to do with having a mic ? Because is a lot of people that thinks the "mic" is the reason why people is KoSing so much. You see, this debate is not new... it have been around for ages. I personally think like you do... how you communicate have nothing to do with KoSing.

Yeah.. but i always get those confuse in the heat of the first encounter, sometimes i press the middle finger one by mistake. Also.. a phrase may be more convincing than trying to high five someone for no reason...I didn't miss that post, you know that.. i was talking about the very old debate about having to use a Mic to don't get koSed.

Most likely... but i ranting "just" in case ins't a bug. You know... if they "experimenting" what will happen if people got banned for not using a mic.

I shot everyone that says "Friendly" with the mic... specially when they sound like they should be in school.

Anyway.. counted to teen few times, chewed my stress ball... i think i'm ok now... Going back on topic... it is a bug that bans people if they use the text chat to often.

I'm sure they do things like this to make me rage...my friends always says that i am funny when i ranting...
