I'd say, that Macs are conditional capable of running games. Or in other words, with some messing of the settings, it is possible to run some games with decent visuals. It is not that the game industry hates Mac users, but they also have to consider the limited hardware aspects. If you play on a PC and the game lags, not from network issues, you can upgrade your PC in most cases. With most Macs you cannot. I really like the design of the iMac. Although AIOs are utter crap in my eyes. I use an iMac at work. It is a good machine and does most things I need it to do. It is an older machine and it will stay like this because I cannot upgrade it. The same goes for the Mac Mini and even for the new Mac Pro, where limited driver support kicks in. You cannot swap out the graphics unit how you want. Even less the cpu and in some newer models the ram. At some point to gain more processing power, you have to buy a new one. And that is what makes Macs expensive. Another aspect are drivers and the graphics api. I won't say that OpenGL is inferior to DirectX in speed, but it lacks many features. Hopefully Vulcan will change that. Last year another user tried to start a petition for DayZ on Macs. Never heard from him again. But I signed his petition.

Here also a modem user. DSL modem. : )

You can see it, how you want. Even if he only asked for a fix, he still complained. I won't apologize, that my english is far from perfect.

You are already able, more or less, to play DayZ on a Mac. You just have to use Bootcamp to install Windows. Also, unless Apple cripples the drivers, Windows runs smoother on Macs than OS X does.

Well, you are demanding a fix, so you are obviously complaining. On the other hand, I never experienced that bug myself.

I am missing the suicide at the end.

I receive error when CD is put in computer:
umberfive replied to CedroNeri0101's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
No, never even tried, what happens, when I put a CD in my CD-drive and startup DayZ. But I have another issue. Your text is nearly unreadable. Blue on dark gray. : ( -
Which weapons are mostly left behind depends on the time, the infection occured. Arma 2 took place in 2009. Which makes the M4 widely used for US forces. Other examples are the Steyr AUG or the H&K G36. Last one is still missing in the game.

I am out here, because my monitor is 29", but when you buy a new monitor, then look for one with an IPS panel. I played on a TN panel for years and was surprised, when I switched on new monitor with an IPS panel.

Always expect the most negative. The happier you are, when it doesn't happen.

Weapons can spawn mostly everywhere. Civilian grade weapons can spawn in normal houses. For military weapons, military buildings are the best place to look for.

I suspect that the battleye service took too long to start, because the needed data was placed on the nas share. Unless you have a very fast nas, you should never host applications or especially games on it. And even if you have a fast nas, I would advise against it.

Glad to see that insta-death on the police stairs is still a thing
umberfive replied to The Daryl Dixon's topic in General Discussion
That would indicate a desync. So it is just a problem of network/system performance and the capability of the server to process all player data. I think that it had been discussed many times before and without the server being able to process the incoming data more efficiently, it can't be fixed. -

umberfive replied to The Daryl Dixon's topic in General Discussion
I often read about that thing, but never had it occur to me. Neither has a ladder, nor have stairs killed me. Which brings up the question, why this happens. Is it desync or are stairs and ladders just bugged. As far as I can remember, I never died due to a bug. But I will hold you fellow survivor. -
When the GPU doesn't matter in this stage of development because it is mostly done by CPU and the game profits only from single core performance, how come that on my i7 notebook I can't even move the mouse cursor without it being choppy, although I have a resolution of 640x480 and everything on low?

Did you repair your installation through Steam?

I can finally combine matches.

What says, it is blocking dayz.exe? Battleye? Windows? Steam? Seems to be an access problem. User rights are wrong or an anti virus program blocks the access to the file.

Woah! If you start your system, they need to put some more Uran in the nearest power plant.

What helped in my case, when that happens, is to reset my router. Unfortunately I have to go from third to first floor to do so. :(

Hello! In most cases, this is an indicator for faulty ram. Sometimes it is a program error. I experienced something similar in 0.58 when I exited DayZ.

Hello! Is it the Toxic Version? Mine (not Xfire), in some places produces glitches where the textures are missing and only meshes visible. Does it look for you the same?

This is why real men duel in the plain and do not ambush in the hills. :D

Did you maybe fiddle with the config files? Had that issue a long time ago.
