Just because people are assholes. Until today I have never KoS'ed. Yes, I have a Mosin with a LRS, but I use it mostly for scouting, since there are no field glasses in the game. I observe. But I was KoS'ed once by a camper in Elektro.

Am I missing something? Are we talking about post 0.42 or 0.43? After 0.42 the zombies were more aggressive, but that was fun. For me the new zombies are fine. I did not come from the mod. I played SoD before. When you lost your car in the middle of the map, the map was a joke compared to the one in DayZ, then you were dead. After 0.43 the spawn rate seems a little bit lower for me. Remember, that a zombie is a fictional creature with unknown characteristics. They can probably see, smell or hear better than us. We should also remember, this is a survival games, not a picnic. There have to be times where you have to run until your lungs come inside out. That the zombies are still able to walk through closed doors and walls, that should be fixed. On the other hand, this is an early release of a game that is in alpha. We all volunteered to find and report bugs to make the game more enjoyable in the future and not to whine.

I like those zombies. Now we can see it as a survival game. I always wondered where all those people of Chernarus went. :D

I will not tell you that it is a game and you should not play so seriously. The main problem is that this kind of people is fully aware of it being a game and that there are no real consequences. Those people would not live long in a real environment like the game. If you want to take the fun from them, do as they do. After not so long, they will get bored. That is how they are. So far, an eye for an eye.

The CPU has 3.5 GHz. I know, although they sell it as an octa-core, it is really only a quad-core with hardware based HT. In some games my old Q6600 performs better. I will try some options at the weekend.

For reference, not bragging. Desktop CPU: AMD FX-8320 RAM: 8 GB, 1600 MHz, Golden Emperor GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7770, 1 GB VRAM Resolution: 1920x1080 Settings: high The game runs fairly smooth. I have very few lags. Most are position resets. The frame rate differs from bottom 15 in the woods to top 35 in cities and elsewhere. No optimizations done yet. These are outputs from fraps, but the game is over all playable.

Hello! My name is umberfive, ingame "umber 5". Yes, it should have been "Number 5". Somehow I managed to change it accidently to "umber 5" when leaving the game. My play time is only about 40 hours, but the fun never dies. My first death was falling from a silo at night. Second time was axed to death by a female character. Never be a gentleman. Third time was shot by a fresh spawn killer. Fourth time was by a camper in Elektro. Fifth time was mysterious. I joined a server and "you are dead". I teamed up with a few friends and we are doing some sightseeing. :)

It is also said in "Silent Hill". The first of all Silent Hill games. It is at the beginning in the alley, if I am correct. Greetings, umberfive
