They still retain pristine since the first day. It is also my first Mosin. Currently with all possible and not more possible attachments ever. My Magnum rescued me from another player. She was badly damaged afterwards. Instead of discarding her, I cleaned her and she is back to worn.

Usually they are in the piano house and police stations. But those are mostly already looted by people who are already geared to the chin.

The problem with the wannabe hackers, also called script kiddies, is that they use things that are a disadvantage to all other player. The FOV, gamma or third person "exploit" is a feature which can be used by everyone. Although it is not entirely fair, it can be considered legitimate. On the other hand the usage of any additional software which circumvents non existent possibilities, can be considered cheating. I also think, the use of TS is cheating. On a real battlefield it would be like telepathy. But software that uses bugs to operate and is not available for everyone, that is far lower than cheating. I on my part do not know where to get such software and also wouldn't dare to buy it.

In my opinion it is just the unoptimized engine. Not because it is old. There are engines out there far older that perform better and look good too. The game is almost playable on my machine, given the fact that I use an infamous AMD octa-core. The main problem seems to be that the engine doesn't seem to be optimized for multi-threading. Neither CPU nor GPU are effectively used. Maybe that's a drawback of using DirectX 9, although most of us use at least Windows 7. On the other hand, I play also Arma 3. With nearly the same settings and using DirectX 11, it performs nearly as bad as DayZ. In the wilderness I get around 35 - 50 FPS, in cities it drops to 25 - 40, depending where I am in the city. I can live with at least 30 FPS, if they were constant. What's more disturbing, since 0.47 I have sudden FPS drops to nearly 0 for at least a second. Something went wrong in the last two patches.

Mosin rounds are mostly in civilian buildings. They are not very common, but also not very rare. You can find them here and there in a shelf. But what I nearly never find anymore are loose rounds. they are always boxed. So look for those small greyish boxes that look much like the sewing kit.

When already spray painted, you have to "add" the other color. otherwise it will be totally changed. There are two options when pulling a spray can onto the Mosin.

I would not expect it within at least 3 years. Although many would say that the architecture (x86) is the same for PC and PS4, there are still some significant differences. For example the graphics interface. On the one side, we have directx and on the other side we have opengl or maybe mantle. So the whole graphics core needs to be rewritten. The same goes for the network part. Further the code has to be optimized for both and maybe all three platforms. Hope for the good, but expect the bad. So you can't be disappointed.

Sorry, didn't want to offend you. Loot spawn worked already there. Just the floor wasn't leveled right. But it is a great village for fortifying. It even has a well.

I think I saw the "unnamed town 1" pre 0.47. So it should not be new. Just reintegrated if it was removed. Have been there many times when I visited the north. On my first visit the green house was inaccessible because the floor in front of the house has been to low. Here is a picture of it:

So there are two different key sets for zoom and zeroing? I always thought the zoom keys (NUM+/-) were for zeroing, because my mosin always hits the target regardless being 200 meters or over 600 meter far away. So I can assume that my weapon is bugged as this behaviour is not intended.

Died in a mass killing in Berezino. It is not good to meet many other players at the same time on the same place. One has a mosin, one a SKS and the other a MP5 and everyone just wants to live and has to kill the others to do so. Also, you spawn nearby and did not learn your lesson. So you go there again to punch the other who was looting your body. Just to get punched again by them because they also spawn nearby and are also as much as stupid as yourself. This is, why DayZ is so much fun, ridiculous, but fun.

Somehow I expected a real unicorn, like an easter egg, but it was only a M4. Totally disappointing.
