  1. We get it dude. You want players to have a choice that they would have IRL. That's fine. Except that it ruins realism because people would make different choices in DayZ than they would IRL. That's what you fail to understand. The whole idea is that it's not worth adding a realistic option because it will do more bad than good. How can you not see something so obvious?
  2. You're not very smart, are you. Clothes provide item slots (and in the case of raincoats, rain protection) so at times you may need to use those until you find something better. Did you even read the thread? I've posted this before. My argument is based on the fact (doesn't take a genius to figure that out) that people would use useful camo colors and would NOT use colors that would only make them easier to spot, except for very few, perhaps mentally retarded people. Now if you put this into game, it instantly ruins the realism because that few exceptions would grow to large amounts of players. It makes no sense to see a bunch of people wearing bright in a zombie apocalypse. Deal with it.
  3. I know that because I'm not a mindless idiot.
  4. That many self obsessed freaks will paint their guns pink, which won't even remotely reflect an actual zombie apocalypse situation. Rarity will only encourage the use of those spray paint colors.
  5. You don't get it do you. What I'm saying is not that there's no possible way for non-green-or-black spray paint to actually be useful for surviving, but that it'll do more bad than good in general for the game, that's why it's not worth being added.
  6. And would the ratio of normals/psychos in a real zombie apocalypse situation match one in the game? Not in the slightest. I easily see most people trying non-camo spray colors out only because it's a game (which provides players with stuff they can play around with), ruining the realism the game is striving for. So again, the only real valid argument for this silly spray color shit would be that "players may want it". It won't add to realism, it will lessen it. Is it worth it? Definitely not, as it's too trivial to sacrifice realism for.
  7. We already got naked idiots running around for the lulz. We don't need even more unrealistic situations in DayZ.

    How Devs Can Fix FPS!

They need to make it so the game doesn't render stuff you can't see. Sure, lowering the poly count helps as well, but first things first.
  9. So get those ideas accross the devs's minds and only then argue whether adding ridiculous spray paint colors to the game makes sense (because at the moment it does not).
  10. Opposing an option because realistically, nobody would use it in a zombie apocalypse situation.
  11. This would encourage players to play in 1PP while still leaving them the ability to jump into 3PP to look at their character. Yes pls. (Though 3PP still grants the advantage of seeing whether your character is perfectly hidden behind let's say a wall, while in 1PP you can't be sure if your gun is peeking out.)

    Were am i!?!?!

    Novodmitrovsk.
  13. It's something people would do in a game for fun, but not IRL where they only got one life and are trying to survive. So yeah, allowing people to use various spray colors is realistic, but people actually using them is unrealistic, so not allowing them in the first place is the right thing to do when seeking realism. They could exist in the game world for all I care, just not be usable. EDIT: What's up with the empty lines when quoting posts using FireFox?
  14. It makes the game unrealistic. I mean, spray paint colors other than black and green would exist, but nobody would use them IRL (on items they're carrying, anyway). The only argument I could perhaps accept would be that this is a game and people want to have fun, but I doubt it beats the idea of making the game realistic.
  15. There's a difference between clothing that has its own uses (item slots, protection from rain) that may not provide as much camo as one would like and an optional spray colors that no sane person would use in a zombie apocalypse.
  16. DayZ provides spray colors that help you survive. It's a survival game. If you want to be bright and glowing, you're not playing the game the way you're supposed to.

Easiest way to find a tent?

Aiming at the exit and going prone does it for me.

    Did FPS increase at all?

Since 0.49 I'm experiencing constant multi-second FPS spikes after staying in game for a while (30+ minutes, perhaps), which wasn't the case before 0.49.

    Gunshots sound issue in .49?

This issue was present in 0.48 as well.

EPIC AXE OWNAGE ON THREE M4 GUYS

The title outright says that three M4 guys were owned by axe.

Does game support alt tab in Win 8.1?

Alt-tabbing works fine on Win8.1, just make sure you don't have -winxp in launch parameters.

Butt Hurt admins are ruining this game.

Admins don't have such powers, so you're talking about cheaters.

    Interview with a Cheater [VIDEO]

"Full HD 1920x1080" and you still can't set correct (16:9 - Wide) aspect ratio. Anyway, is it a cheater's sign when you hear the sound of an axe hitting you even though you're actually being shot, or just random glitch?

    DayZ Attack of the clones

More like... The Clone Wars. Okay I'm leaving.

    Lock Vertical FOV

So that everyone would see the same amount in height and the width would be monitor dimensions/count-dependant. Because, you know, constantly adjusting your FOV in order to see farther (big FOV) or better (small FOV) isn't very immersive... or realistic. It's done in CSGO, for instance.
