    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.4

What are the motivations behind disabling of the respawn button? I've played this game alone for a long time. It wasn't that fun - actually enough not so that I quit. Then I got some of my friends interested, and ever since it's been great. Unless you are going to implement the ability to choose your spawn location I can't see any up side in this change. Friends getting friends to play boosts the player base. Just my two cents.
  2. Just got killed by someone. Thanks if it was one of the devs!
  3. Yes. I don't have Down syndrome. I've been waiting for like an hour total, but tried to server hop to see if it goes away. Probably half an hour into the current wait and the glass is not even half full.
  4. Knocked out for a long time because of a hacker. See this for reference: http://dayzmod.com/f...ore-what-to-do/ Please respawn me or whatever. edit: Fixed. Thanks!
  5. I only know I'm in Cherno. On top of some building. I don't even know if you can get up here without hacking. I can't even go do some other stuff because I have to keep the game open for the timer to run. I wonder who could have possibly thought that a mechanic such as this was a good thing to add to the game. It's not. It's absolutely horrible.
  6. Please go argue to some other thread.
  7. A hacker moved everyone to Cherno on NL5 (not 100% which NL it was). When I logged back in I'm knocked out for an hour or something. Is there absolutely no way to kill myself? Don't care about my gear, just want to play with my friends. This is really, really retarded. Name: Spede

DO NOT POST YOUR GLOBAL BAN APPEALS

If you got global banned again it most likely means you have the hack programs still on your computer and/or loaded into the game. Maybe give the hacker's customer support a call on how to properly remove them.

Why did I make a global ban! Pls Help

The point is - even if you have a legitimate GUID, you still cannot play, because the program matches that against your cd-key.

Why did I make a global ban! Pls Help

    1) YES you can spoof another player's GUID 2) NO you cannot get another player's CD-KEY BOTH 1 and 2 are required to be able to PLAY WITH SOMEONE ELSES "ACCOUNT" and get it banned. You cheated, gtfo.

    Global ban

It's pretty fucking hilarious when you think about it. Dude rents his own server, hacks and gets banned. x------------------DDD Dat shit made my evening.

DO NOT POST YOUR GLOBAL BAN APPEALS

How would you know this for a fact? Because you know him and he's a good, honest person, who would never do such a thing? Give me a break. They won't give you detailed information because they don't want to reveal which hacks are detected: that could lead to hack programmers finding out the way they are detected and circumvent it. Just tell your friend to own up to his mistake.

Can you get a global ban for FRAPS?

It's just what they recommend. In the same way as PunkBuster recommends that no other programs be running on the computer except the game it protects - this came after a certain IRC exploit. Obviously though, you can run whatever you want.

    Overlay ban

No, I know like 10 people who use overlays just fine.

DO NOT POST YOUR GLOBAL BAN APPEALS

Because software like this ban in waves. I'll try and break it up to you as best I can, might not be 100% accurate, but it's up there. 1) BattlEye collects data from computers that run DayZ. If it deems a program or something else to be weird according to its heuristics, it'll send information about this program back to BattlEye main server. Some programs it will automatically detect to be a hack. Some not. 2) The people who run BattlEye study this data and determine if it's a hack. If it's not a hack, it's ignored. 3) If it's deemed to be a hack, they will black list ("global ban") all game accounts that reported to have been using this hack. It's called a ban wave. 4) When a hacker tries to join a server, the server asks from BattlEye master server if this account is flagged as a hacker. If yes, the user encounters this global ban message. The BattlEye update today was most likely to modify some part of how it detects hacks - usually updates like these combat things that are able to circumvent anti-hack software like this. Ask Google if you're interested in knowing more.
