I don't like it, I love it. Agreed but just because it is not having the desired effect is not enough of a reason to get rid of it. It is realistic and it makes it harder, I love it. I'm not sure how you have come to that conclusion, in one breath you have said it hasn't done anything to reduce KoS and then in the next say that it is pushing one play style more than the other which I can only assume is play style of the hero or friendly player? If I am understanding you correctly that makes no sense. Sounds like it is a balancing issue then rather than removing it completely from the game? In saying that a shotgun pretty much would destroy everything if you shot it from point blank. I am a bandit most nights and in the worse sense of word but I don't kill people for their gear. I'll throw a situation up for you. NEAF ATC: 5 guys holding out in the ATC, we have it locked down but can't get in there to kill them as they are wall glitching and shooting through walls. Another clan of 3 attacks directly and long story short we kill everyone else that was remaining, thats 8 bodies of fully kitted guys. Three of our team members log in but are freshies and run straight to the atc. If nothing had been damaged our guys would have been able to fully kit up within 3-5 minutes but as it stood, they were able to get weapons a few bits of clothing and some ammo and food. I had taken hits and desperately needed drink which was also forcing me to leave the atc instead of allowing me to stay there camping. Working as intended I would say and damn well, maybe a little fine tuning but I wouldn't care if everything got ruined personally. It is way too easy when you can kill a bunch of guys and get to keep everything, then reinforcing your team and anyone who died and got a close spawn in a matter minutes.

Na haven't done it and will not do it. My entire team (12 of us) have switched over to HC (I only play 1PP regardless of server) and hopefully the mindset of the HC players are a little more honest and not acting like 12 year old children. I guess some people are just that bad at the game, shame really.

You can use both track ir or freetrack. Both are supported. Try freetrack then, what does the developer got to do with anything?

Yes it is, it 's game breaking, it's not game stopping and that is only because most don't know about it... yet. But regardless you arguing semantics, get over it, even if it is not game breaking it still needs addressing an IMO is far more important than random zombie noises. Oh FFS, that because the community have upvoted random zombie noises as their "No.1" concern, while this issue is on page 3. It's whatever you want it to be, use your imagination. I also don't know how or why having a defined set of circumstances/date/story line affects your game play in any way shape or form.

I would start with clicking on properties by right clicking on DayZ in your stream, then verifying game cache files. It will take a few minutes but I would say that will fix it.

You can absolutely make one for less than 20 bucks if you already have a webcam but I was far to lazy and waste more money than that one a weekend drinking. I don't see that as a problem at all as you can adjust the sensitivity a lot. I do run on a 27" but have used on my old monitor which was 22" There are only two downsides to it 1) You have to start the software before the game... I often forget lol 2) You can't have an undressed window behind you. Lights at night time don't effect it at all but natural light from a window can screw the sensors occasionally. I

No neither did I till watching last nights stream and it is becoming more and more prevalent.

This idea, which is not new goes against EVERYTHING that is DayZ. If they brought this mechanic into the game I would uninstall, end story. EDIT: And how the hell would I get away with TK'ing my team mates "accidentally" if they had this. :rolleyes:

Currency can be whatever you want to be however currency has always been based around perceived rareness of something, well up until a couple of hundred years ago anyway. So beans, ammo, whatever, can all be based as currency and with the mechanic of destroying those items on people when you kill them, people in need would have to chance bartering instead of killing. The only thing the devs need to do, is make things rarer, which I am totally 100% for. Oh and maybe the hive lol

Find your own moral compass and if it changes from night to night, so be it. People forget this is a game, it's meant to be FUN. If fun is killing freshies down the coast so be it, if it is helping the less fortunate then so be it, if it is ruling NEAF like a boss then so be it.

It goes against the whole mindset of the game if there are NO KILL servers. It is not being an ignorant brat, it is, as you say having an opinion and that opinion is that PVE only servers shouldn't be allowed, private hive or otherwise. I have a sneaking suspicion from your name and the issue you are describing that you are in fact camping up on a hill somewhere taking pot sots at people from a long distance. If is this case then first of all I would like to say welcome and your anger at the game brings me great happiness. I like nothing more than coming across a super stealthy ninja sniper hiding in the bushes only to kill him and then hide the body. I will say hello to you after I have killed you though, well that is if you haven't rage quite by that stage. If this is not the way you are dying then please explain where this happening and what you are doing at the time, so I can help you further. PS If you get upset by KoS then DayZ is definitely not the game for you

I am not sure why it has to be one or the other, I think there should be both. There are pro's and con's for both and I would definitely like to have the choice.

Weird, take some screen shots or vid so the devs can see. But yeah Tentacles idea is probably the best. Do you have a gun? You could shoot it and hopefully attract someone or at least some Zoms to help kill you faster. Other options would be leave the game running and hopefully you starve to death or contact the admin of the server.
