    Ghosts in Balota?

If you angle yourself right, you can open doors on floors below you. I bet there was someone there. Edit: Found the sound you hear in your video on a "scary sounds" app on my android.

    The Actual Dayz Experience

The fact that their guns were still up should've tipped you off. Alpha takes a long, long time, and most games usually don't let players into alphas.

I feel bad for killing a good guy

I hate killing innocents I've been playing video games most of my short life, all across the spectrum of genres. I've only killed an innocent person 3 times in 600 hours of game play. Each time, I've had to log out and quit playing for the rest of the day. I know it's pixels. I know it is just a game. But I can't ever come to grips with it. I've killed countless people on this game, and been killed even more times. But usually, I don't fire the first shot or take the first swing. I'm not a hero, far from it. I'm just a survivor. But I can't stand killing innocent people.

Free-to-use DayZ Cinematics for Content Creators

Very nice. Liked and subscribed, and would love to use in my videos. I will definitely give you the credit you deserve.
  5. I agree. But it should be very difficult to find. I don't think most civilians had an e-tool, or did they? I don't know much about them.

Zombies need to be rebalanced (poll)

The infected zombies, imo, are humans with something like rabies. They've just gone ballistic and are the animals that humans really are, not something apart from the other creatures on earth. If I were to smack someone in the head with a fireaxe, or hard enough or enough times with a baseball bat, a crowbar, a hoe, or a shovel, they would die. Similarly, if you shoot a rabid squirrel or dog, it dies. If you shoot a normal squirrel or dog, it dies. Obviously dependending on where they get hit, but lets not get into semantics. The same would go with humans. They aren't reanimated humans, they are still the same person, only the primal version that is the animal portion of a human. If I chop off their head, or make them lose enough blood, or punch their nose into their brain, they would die. I think that reworking the zombies a good thing. But they didn't grow armor plates, nor did they mutate into something new. They're infected humans.

The ability to stop bleeding without bandaging

I think more along the lines of your blood clotting in time. For example, getting into a fist fight and someone punches you in the nose, your nose bleed eventually stops. If you get scraped or clawed, you eventually stop bleeding as well. However, things like gunshot wounds, getting hit with an axe or machete, or stabbed by a knife or pitchfork would take much longer to clot, cause they do in reality. And if anything, bleeding does not need to be harder to stop. It's not meant to be a real life simulator, it's meant to be a game. I think perhaps, depending on the condition of the bandage, there could be a chance of it falling off, and you start to bleed again, but I don't agree with making it harder to stop bleeding in a game.

    These sounds make me paranoid

It takes practice and time to get used to it. After having logged ~600 hours I've gotten to the point that I can tune out the fake sounds from the real ones. The fake sounds are generally cut off, kind of half of the real audio file. The real ones are the whole thing. I have heard rumors that the random sounds are from other people, on the server, however. Always, ALWAYS be careful, however.

Cinematic Trailer- The Northwest: 4k Quality

I think it was well done, and I enjoyed it. However, like has been said, some points can be improved upon. However, I am an amateur myself, and can't really give too many suggestions. Most of what I would think has been said. Keep working, I think it was awesome, and I enjoyed it.

  11. True, true. I didn't have anything to lose however, so I thought to myself what the hey. Thanks for watching it! =)

    The Angry Farmer and I

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fmv7y_QdCJc Bought my friend a copy of the standalone, and here's a video of running around with him. I named him "The Angry Farmer!" Started as a daytime adventure, and moved into night time. Attempted to do some better editing and add some music and voiceover into the video. This video is for comedic value only. Feedback much appreciated!
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hNbjjtjt9E Just a quick video of some highlights with me and a friend running through the NEAF on a very low pop server. And if someone could tell me how to put the video right in the post, instead of just the link, that'd be awesome!

Why You Must Be Careful Traveling Alone

Thanks for the help and the advice. I really appreciate it sir. 397 hours is not new, I just like the SKS over all the other guns in the game. It's midrange, and has a fair amount of shots to it. I've never won a firefight with an M4, always won with an SKS. Much better accuracy. I had been searching for one for a couple hours before this lol. I'm the one with the annoying nasally voice, not the young voice lol. That's my friend. Most players KOS on airfields. The whole point of being at an airfield is to find military grade weapons and ammo. I've never met a friendly on the airfield. I met my friend, Fonz, from being a friendly. I don't KOS except in the airfields. The first guy, I didn't see and my buddy shot first. The second guy shot first. However, I do appreciate your constructive criticism, it'll help me make better videos. You have my beans, sir! =)

DayZ, as it should be played...... (Hero)

I support this. Good for you. I know there is a lot of criticism of "heroes" but that's how I play too.

    Operation Distraction

    You have my beanz Sir!
  19. I think you are making a very general assumption, and you know what happens when you assume. I try to strive for the more hero type of guy, I'd rather not kill someone unless they try to kill me. However, I generally play with the mindset everyone else around me knows what they are doing more than I do, despite having 120 hours on the game. Besides, is being helpful bad? I'd rather give a can of food and some advice to 10 bandits than let 1 actual new player have a bad experience. Doing good can lead to more good. It's not necessarily counter intuitive.Think of it this way. Giving money to a homeless guy could lead him to use it for alcohol/drugs (banditry), or it may be a poor dude who just has run out of luck and maybe that little good deed will get him going again (encouraging kindness and friendliness)

    Finding Mosin Snipers

Take cover, don't run in a straight line, LISTEN. However, if all you're hearing is the bullets whizzing past you, chances are they are WAY far away. Mosins have a big range with an LRS. Be careful in buildings with windows. I'm much more likely to catch a Mosin sniper if they're shooting at someone else, cause then I can follow the gunshots and flank them. Most often, like you pointed out OP by saying you scan the high ground, they usually are on the high ground - only sometimes it's much higher and farther away than you think. There isn't a cut and dry strategy for taking out snipers, at least that I know. Good luck.
  23. artrath96

    I got mega trolled.

My rule of thumb is if I don't know you and I'm in a military area: You're dead meat if I catch you. But other than that, I try to avoid KOS. I'm a terrible shot really, haha.
  24. I liked your videos a lot. I'm one of those guys who tries to kill the killers, and leave the friendlies alone. My only exception to that rule is on a military base or airfield, if I see you, you're dead. Unless you kill me, then I'm dead. Anyway, I have to admit, having played this game quite a bit over the past few weeks I've had it, I jumped when you fired your SKS, cause my thought process is "Oh crap, I'm dead!" Then I remembered, I wasn't playing lol.
