I've already explained this, but you like everyone else refuses to read back through the comments before posting. I bought the game for 30 bucks because it is worth 30 bucks for me at its current stage. I've already logged ~200 hours and had a dam good time. Plus i try to be active on the forums and try to give suggestions (Which always fucking end in an argument because there is a bunch of 14 year olds playing this game now). -

No, i see what you are saying. And you exactly right. But if your hypothesis is correct, why have we not seen any real game changing updates already? I feel like something with the engine would be changed right now if they were serious about getting this in beta by the end of the year. -

Maybe because they are NON-PROFIT? hahaha what do you think that means, bud? And bohemia is NOT a non profit. Someone, somewhere is profiting immensely from this game right now. Which brings me back to my main point. What is the point of finishing the game if the person with the idea has already made enough money to want to get out without all the hard work. The promise of a full game is there to keep people buying the alpha, but how do we know this will ever actually happen? The right answer is we dont. -

Classic fanboy response. "They are trying their best"! Lets put this back in perspective. SIXTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS. you could buy your own fucking private country with that much money. There is NO excuse for not getting things done at this point. And don't use the "too many cooks ruin the soup because its not the same at all. There is a vision in place, and there are KNOWN problems with the game. I get that makes sense if you are talking about fine tuning things, but every cook knows how to make broth, just like every coder should know how to make a base for a game. And we are definitely starting to get off topic lol -

Regardless. Games like BF4 costed 100 Million all in all. This game has made ~60 Million so far and it seems like its crawling. How much more money do they need to make? lol -
You weren't at the huge airfield in the NW corner of the map, were you? I remember shooting this dude with my M4 like 800 times in the chest and that dam press vest stopped it all, exactly like you described.

I think it is the glitchyness of alpha games, honestly. I think people complain a lot when they are on the receiving end, but really crave some of the exploits that come out of early games like this. And honestly, the unstable-ness of the game adds to the fun for me. It makes it that much more terrifying when you have a ton of gear. -

From the steam DayZ page What the developers have to say:“DayZ Early Access is your chance to experience DayZ as it evolves throughout its development process. Be aware that our Early Access offer is a representation of our core pillars, and the framework we have created around them. It is a work in progress and therefore contains a variety of bugs. We strongly advise you not to buy and play the game at this stage unless you clearly understand what Early Access means and are interested in participating in the ongoing development cycle.” -

Show me, then where i said i was ripped off. I am glad i spent 30 bucks on this game. I've gotten over 200 hours of play time, and that's more than i can say for a lot of other games. I just simply asked a question. -

Just curious. I've seen a TON of developers using the "Alpha" method to get funding for their projects. What happens when an "Alpha" game sells a ton, and one team just takes the money and says peace? -

Ok, so for those of you who did not read the first paragraph i put up. You might want to slow down and read before you post. Let me recap. Moving forward, i did not mention the game is not worth 30 dolars in its current state, or say i did not like it, OR say that i was unhappy with my purchase. Just asking the question of is there any "REAL" accountability that the Developers are being held to? or is it just the fact that they will continue to make money off of it until people get sick of it and stop buying it. -

Lovely. And there is no contract with STEAM? Seems highly unlikely to me that steam would allow a team to sell a game without signing some kind of contract. -

Other than the fact that you get to play it before everyone else i guess, but i have not seen any direct results from people talking to the Devs other than getting banned (Which is for good reason i guess), all i usualy get is "ITS IN ALPHA, SHUT IT". "Rewarded"
