Hey fellow players. Tell me about ping if you would :) So, Im moving and I cant get highspeed broadband - only mobile internet Im living in Finland as my profile may show - and Im playing on uk and russian servers mostly. What do you think that my ping would be? Can I still keep playing dayz or do I have to take a break? )= I would really appreciate if you can answer my question :)

Hey :) You dont have to simplify it for me - Im kinda expert with packet losses and ping stuff but I have no experiance with mobile connections so I decided to make this topic to see if someone else does and with what ping the game would still be playable :P

Yeah, I think it will be 3G - Maybe 4G if i get extra antenna. So you dont teleport around map and can fire your weapon without delay? Cause that would be really frustrating :P

Thanks for answers - I cant tell exact up/down speeds yet cause we are still moving - Its good to hear that you can play with mobilenet :) that really makes me believe that i can keep playing this awesome game :) But what I have heard is that up/down speed does not affect my ping that much - jitter is biggest problem. I have good broadband now but just few dayz left to use it )= I got ping around 60-80 with this in uk and russian servers. Just thinking if someone else have mobile connection and could tell me more about it (can i play. etc.) :) But what I have heard my up and down would be 5-15/3-5 - but still, very hard to tell.

Hey guys - I am on experimental server and first I noticed, that it didnt fix the problem, well it did but it didnt - I can now stay on server but with awful desync - my ping is around 60-70 and desync 0 - but im sure that its not the real number :D I cant draw my weapon or open doors instant (delay about 5-15 seconds) I tried to run to elektro but yeah its hard when you teleport back to where you started running :D I hate that zombies can swim.... )= It also took long to get into server - about same time as in stable. Its not full server - theres 15 players.

So just about an hour ago my Dayz Standalone started constantly crashing - I was having some ruined stuff and ammo boxes - Shortly after that i died. Some bandid shot me with m4a1. But... I still have same problem - I have played 140+ hours without any kind of crashing issue. I have had less than 5 crashes but now the game has crashed about 8 times after problem started. I disabled that desktop composition. I dont have Nvidia and you and see my specs in my profile page. No error code has been given after crash, just that Dayz.exe stopped working. I know that there is some other topics about this but still decided to make a new one. Thanks. Edit: Looks like i fixed the problem by restarting the computer and running ccleaner to remove all errors and stuff. If someone got same problem try it.

You may have got hurt, try to eat some painkillers and use morphine :)

Hi everybody! So I tried the new "stable" patch and here is what I noticed - Zombies have became much more dangerous, its 1-2 hit(s) and you are bleeding (No matter what you are wearing) - Some really bad lag going on, Makes game almost unplayable.. (You cant open doors or move items...well you just cant do anything) - There are pistols EVERYWHERE - It takes sometimes really long to get in server (couple of minutes on waiting for host and please wait) - Some new glitches on shadows - Shot one player. It was clear shot to chest and still everything he had went ruined (Its possible that someone else have shot him too but I doubt it. So please if someone else have noticed this, please tell me and I send bug report. - It appears that servers that have just restarted are not on 12:00 time anymore. The new time is 14:00. - I saw 0 desynd icons and I played about 2-3 hours (well, players know that desync was a pain in the ass in previous patch) - There are 4 new weapons, 3 pistols and one rifle --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please comment if you have noticed something new that I didnt =) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Didnt really know where to put this topic but I felt that general discussing would be good place =)

I have fix for this if your computer sucks :D If you can reach low fps, like 10-15 and then run and jump around walls you might get pass. Works for me. If you cant get that low fps well then logout fix

Have your tried other servers? Yeah its kinda common problem - no fix so far. Edit: My steam is working fine

Well I have ATI radeon HD 5850 1GB and low shadow setting - not any kind of fps problem

Havent really noticed any changes of fps at all. But I heard some nvidia users have had some problem now.

Oh thats interesting! Thanks for the warning about fireaxe, I might give it a try later anyways, but not before i get spare axe :D Also found some of those new clothing - I think that boonie in kinda cool :)

@BadAsh - Try reading the topics on troubleshooting section, there was some good info :) @Thundefined - I really agree with number 1. You are dead if you get stuck on middle of em. And try to wait for few minutes when joining, I was about to give up too but then I suddenly got in =)

@Publik - Yeah they can spot you much more easily now. I managed to sneak away from one and well, I was right behind of it :D Oh and zombies are clearly respawning and and man they do it fast. @Ryzen - Im happy that they got it out too :) And I really dont know about wet system - but i dont think it will ruin your items. @Demonica - That invisible thing that you was talking about, I think its about the same problem that prevents you to do any actions.

Hey and thanks for the answer =) Reinstalling is always the last option for me, I always try to clean my system for errors and bugs before it. But still, good work if you got it working and I hope it lasts even after todays 42.116181 patch :)

Well, that may explain the problem - Its not 8096.... its 8192 if you have 8gt ram - its 4096 if you have four. Dont know if that could cause any problems but usually all the numbers you mess with should be very accurate.

Yeah well, topic tells it all. Random character resets. Happens many times in day - have been trying to swap servers and restarting game, no effect. Other people seems to have this problem too so i wish deplovement team fixes this problem soon. It really ruins the game )= Any advices how to fix this at home?

Then I can just say that you should reinstall dayz - if that does not help Im not out options. With your download speed it shouldnt take more than half of hour.

This sounds Internet related problem. Ping may be your problem. Hope you know what ping is - im really bad at explaining it. It also can be desync - not sure what causes it - or are ping and desync the same thing. Anyways development team is working on desync problem.

Your setup is good enough, Better than mine and I got around 30 fps in towns. Try to disable all of the rendering options. Those are massive fps eater in dayz sa, Some places are more laggy than others, you cant really help it. Try two biggest cities at south, That big city on N/E is terrible laggy, You can also turn off that Steam-in-game thing - it has been causing problems for people.
