Map can be found in various places such as police stations, cars ect, useually they are parts of the whole map which you can combine to get the whole picture.

North is up south is down just grab a map and draw a line to where you want to go and use the compass to stay on that line.

Thats all good and well but they implemented this crappy shit now.. They also could have waited untill they fleshed out the respawn mechanic a bit more.. This just feels like cheap ass programming

I like that they are faster. I like the fact that they do more damage. I like the fact that they will follow you longer. I dislike however that they magically appear out of nowhere and instantly know where you are. If they are to respawn they should not respawn right in front of you. They should not respawn and run right back at you. They should respawn somewhere out of sight on a timer and not agro untill they are agroed by shots or noise.

DayZ favors groups, they have strategical advantages in firepower and observation, a good ambush is useually fatal, even for another group. But that doesn't mean DayZ is flawed it means you got beat by superior numbers or tactics which happens all the time. Adapt or Die is what DayZ is about.
