there's just one little problem: if you are starving you will die before your meat or fish will become Cooked on a campfire.. IMHO the cooking time must be reduced or at last, since it seems the cooking time depends on the quantity you put on, you must be able to cut the meat in smaller pieces so they can be cooked faster -
II'm the only thinking that after the new clinics has been added... Old Hospitals are became pretty poor as medical loots (7/8 loots in such a big building compared to 12/15 loots in small clinics) and they are so few in numbers compared to clinics that are in every, also small, villages. My idea is to add at last 2 rooms at the old hospital maybe in this area: to add some more medical loots and imho some creepy operating theatre (i hope it's the right word) behind the large door at the end of the corridor will be a great addition:

It seems lot of players have trouble.. maybe they can add group markers only in regular and leave the hardcore as it is, that IMO can be a good compromise (since ill play only on HC) ;)

It seems that half of people who play DayZ are Cops or in military, there's something wrong with ratio :huh: By the way you just got the answer.. COORDINATION.. Cooridinate with your group with a vocal chat and avoid to change look/skin every day and you will never have a problem. When loots will become persistent on servers you can put aside the same kind of equip so you and your group can wear the same uniform or at least the same "old" outfit if you die. That will solve the problem. i always carrying with me some spare vests and pants that are usually used by our clan memebers to make my friends quickly recognizable if something become ruined. (and it's useful for trades too since i'm mostly friendly). Even now in my group we are all able to identify ourselves (we are 10 players) simply by the cap (we use all the same cap)and we bring always a copy of our "ordinace hat" so that if someone die we can give it to him. that help a lot to identify us between freshspawns. After few hours everyone get the preffered usual equip (mine is Green cargo pants, Brown hoodie, military boots and green assault vest) so it's easly recognizable as friend. Avoid to change character skin and look help really a lot, it's about few months that i've stoped asking: "hey mates, is that guy near at XYZ one of us ?!?" Indeed need some hours of training but is notthing so extraordinary

500+ hours of gameplay with friends and never had problems, so isn't actually necessary and NO thanks, that will ruin the UI... or better... the wonderful absence of any kind of UI.

if i'm not wrong the military base in the woods on SW area is new, it wasn't in the Mod, i think it's what you are talking about so it seems they are already adding some new military-areas more close combat oriented, and IMO dev probably will add one more base in a North empty spot -

There are lot of military-oriented areas that are commonly empty or where it's pretty impossible sniping, some are military bases, just travel somewhere different then NE airstrip and NWAF. BTW If you want lot of fast and easy loots IMHO it's fair that you must fight for them, if IRL there will be a Zombie apocalypse many people will go for best-known areas where you can get weapons and/or food so you have much chance to find a psyco sniper there. it seems pretty realistic to me ;) oh there's a military base in the south part of Zelenogorsk also -

Cause the area is mainly popoulated by farms some mill will be good addition and they can be a good sniping spot while in field and open areas:

LOL! Are you joking? :D I've meet loads of players that avoid that areas. Cities on NE are actually just a cove of Assholes and bambies farmer. Instead the new spawn points on NE has turned Electro and Cerno more quiet so you can have a better chance to get some conversation with someone then just the usual gunshoot "meeting" with KOSers. if you are looking for PVP go there but i must say that lot of players are actually bored by the mainly PVP oriented playstyle. maybe a coincidence but in last few days (always avoiding NE areas) i've meet more friendly players and i've made lot of trades, Cause the zeds bug that ruin your vest in a single hit i've bartered some vests for other goods.

Same here, every time i logout (and i always chose a safe and realistic place) my character goes sleep so i think he sleep too much, indeed will be good if when you login after lot of hours away you will find your character hungry and thirsty to simulate better the sleep time ;)

Simply: if you put in your quickbar something you can take without using your backpack like canteens, binoculars, knives (while they will added to belt or neck), rifles, guns or melee weapons (while they are easy to grab: holster, vest, pants) you will take them exactly as the animation is now, otherwise your character will stop (or start walking if we suppose you can still search in a backpack while you are moving certanly not while you are running or sprinting) and start to grab them from the backpack for -maybe- 5 seconds?!? ;)

Guys we usually play only on hardcore so i think that after 500+ hours of gamplay i don't need any advice on how to kill zeds, we was just playing on regular to make some bullshit and funny videos. A single hit kill will not be so funny.. :D Regular is for joking and noobs, hardcore is for serious gameplay ; ) btw still remain that zeds are really easy ( or pan are really deadly) also if you look carefully there are something like 3 seconds where the zeds dosen't take any damage while i'm hitting him, sometimes happens with melee weapons maybe lag or desync.. -
Ok i've just noticed that i was drunk when i've read last patch note and this: Ongoing melee balancing has zombies more resilient to body impacts. (Aim for the head) Was not a feature but a bug. -_-' The point is: do you like the zeds now or do you think they are too strong?

Imho zeds must be the major threat in DayZ cause it need to become a survival from the virus plague., so any upgrade to them it's welcome ;)

I've read somewhere few weeks ago that in endgame we will have a sort of backpack upgrade to bring a secondary "mainweapon" with us, i can't remember if was something confirmed from dev or not but i was thinking that after last patch items like fireaxe and similar big melee wapons are became pretty usless cause of the needing to aim for the head. In my group we're all now using knives or bayonets so IMO now the "fireaxe slot" it's a waste of useful space. why don't let now players use that slot to carry a secondary rifle? Personally i would like to bring a crossbow for fast and silent kills but in the future some players may will bring a close combat weapon like a shotgun. IMO actually carry something you never use with you just because there's only one kind of items you can place in that slot is pretty stupid and unrealistic. When the woodcutting and closed doors will be added players will chose if they need something more versatile like axe or crowbars or a most military oriented setup. Remember also that actually there are lot of players that carry anyway two rifles and the only disvantage is the muddled and boring mechanics to swap items when you need to do something or to grab the other weapon. Furthermore the actual sistem is just a great disvantage for people who play alone (that are already easy prey) cause they can't assign someone to zeds hand to hand kills, like grups of players usually do, when some are carring more weapons and can't swap to melee.

they can still fix glitch then simply raise the number of zeds, i think they are actually few so we can easly detect how are they reacting and moving to understand what's changing in their AI at every update, that will be pretty impossible if you are attacked by a horde of zeds, but i really hope in the future we will havo to deal with more then one zed at one time and there will be occasions where you will be forced to extract and fire with your weapon and then run away so this will finally be survival ;)

It is actually impossible have a good aim with fireaxe coz of lag, glitch and the swing animation of axes but i like it, axe must not be a good weapon for aiming, btw small weapons are became pretty useful, i was using knives and bayonets before last update for indoor fight and now i'm using just them cause they are really accurate, so the fireaxe for me is now useless and maybe you must be the one who need to learn how to aim ;) The pool in effect comes after this thread: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/190941-melee-weapon-slot-change/
