I've found m4's in other places besides military bases. If you use the map online it's actually places with big yellow circles. Not even red which is supposed to be weapons. And they were on shelves so it wasn't someone dropping an extra gun or the other bs you can think of, unless you know how to put items on shelves now. Also to the op you just sound bad. I can start as a fresh spawn and have almost full gear WITHOUT server hopping in under 30 minutes. Am I going to tell you how, hell no. But like some people have ready said. Don't run to the airports or military bases and expect them not to be looted. That's the first place nubs usually go.

i've had no problem using the sks in game to "snipe" with. i wish the scope would zero more than 300 meters because the rifle should be as accurate as the carbine barrel on the m4 and with the acog the m4 is able to zero to 700 meters. just checking though; 1. are you zeroing the scope? default page up/page down keys. gotta set those for accurate shots 2. is the scope damaged. if its not pristine shots will be off. 3. are you prone? like that one guy said, theres a bug with the bullets hitting the dirt in front of the gun if youre prone now. 4. youre holding right mouse to hold your breath i had a pristine rifle and scope and have no problem 1 shot 1 killing zombies at ~300 meters. hard part is getting players to stand still unless they afk, and once you aim towards a zombie, if its facing you no matter the distance it will start running towards you. PU scope for sks right now is supposed to be 3.5x zoom but its bugged and not. edit: i just realized i posted this without reading the other 6 pages so i apologize if this was already answered
they all have different properties. my badly damaged LRS shot high and to the left. got a worn and it shoots just to right. i think the red dot scopes that are damaged show cracks to make visibility hard. dunno about the pu though. no cracks on LRS i've seen.
this is one of the reasons i like my sks. i would use it over a 5.56. One of the benefits of a 5.56 is its ability to just leave serious wounds. meant to slow down enemy troops as they got medics in and rushed out the wounded, good for our troops. Since in any SHTF sceneario i'll most likely be alone or with only a handful of others i'd rather the bullets just explode people. yeah, i live in NJ and its legal here. its crazy because they're almost as strict about guns here as in Cali. One of the main reasons they dont care about it is because it comes stock with internal magazine and unless you change the stock its not a pistol grip. stupid reasons but i wont complain ;)
I've never had a overly retarded problem with snipers. either avoid the areas they're likely to be or learn how to counter them. if you have an m4 you have the odds at closer range. Playing vs snipers here is no different than playing BF or cod. If you want to increase the amount of spawns for LRS then also increase the number of non-pristine scopes.
I understand a combat logging system was added a few patches ago. The system keeps your body in the game for 30 seconds after you log out correct? Last night my friend and I were playing And he was pinned down by a sniper. He had the cover of a small rock and a pine tree, The sniper was about 600 Meters away. I understand we could have just sprinted off at that distance and probably been fine. It was getting late and we wanted to log anyway. Amidst many gunshots and bullets that were hitting around my friend we figured it was safe to log Since he had not been hit in the five or so minutes that he was pinned down And being shot at. I stayed behind to watch his character to make sure he wasn't shot while he logged out. As he exited his character stood up As we've seen them do before. After he was logged his character began to Swap between kneeling sitting and laying down. About 17 seconds or so after he had pressed the exit button and his character was standing up the sniper managed to hit him in the leg I saw a puff of blood. His character drop down on his stomach but then stood back up again. It continued it's animation of sitting kneeling and standing back up. At the 30 Second mark as a character disappeared the toon in game was still standing. Because he Might have taken a shot we decided that he should log into a Different server And make sure he wasn't bleeding. To our surprise he was on a beach with nothing. In the previous patch notes for the combat logging system it does say if you're unconscious when you log out you respawn dead, that's understandable. The problem is, his player was standing up and looked fine. Is this a possible bug? Do the combat logging animations not reflect the Players true health status?
nice trouble shooting, this is exactly what happened. :thumbsup: do you know about the please wait bug? were you a fresh spawn or just lost your gear? that would be nice too :thumbsup:
Actually no. We were In a firefight with this guy for a solid 15 minutes prior as he was sniping other survivors. we didn't log to avoid the situation. both of us like the combat logging fix but is it operating as intended. Also why if he was alive when his character disappeared did he log in as a new spawn? That last question is what I really want to know.
