    It has happened...

    I actually like that they spawn aggroed to you if you kill some with a loud weapon/do loud stuff out in the open. Learned the hard way going to test out an sks for the first time in exp, it was glorious. Now we just need to make the AI less wonky, and add even MORE of them, maybe finally root out all of the death matchers and let us survivalists shine. You got it. Even bandaging/reloading/drinking will cause them to respawn, or so was my experience in exp last. Axes are the way to go until you've cleared a town. I can see pvp being moved to out in the wilderness now, that'll make it interesting.

    Group System - no more shooting friends

    Don't murder everyone you see and friendly fire won't be a problem. I do think we need a party/ group system though, where we can have private in game text/voip.

    Okay can confirm it is a new town, ran north and found the edge. Trying to pinpoint where it would be on the map, having a hard time. So far I've narrowed it down to 014, 033 or 014, 022.

    The chapel thingy and an overall view of the town. Most of the buildings have terrain glitches inside; one place with a tree blocking the door, rooms filled with dirt etc. I walked back to it at night down a dusty road from the western end of the map, it was pretty damn creepy so I hopped to a daytime one to snap these pics. No zeds spawn here but you can hear em though, so yeah, spooky place...

    Things i found so far in the new update

    I found a new town near the far north western edge of the map. You can tell its unfinished, no zeds spawn here yet either. will edit with more pics in a few (dammit didn't take a pic of a new little churchy-type place, like a single little tower with a cross in it), just stayed for a bit trying to orient myself, western edge of map was just a two minute run from there. I looked over the map good to see if there was a town that close to the edge before and couldn't find one.

    Today's experience

    Piano houses, third floors of schools, third floor of offices, a certain type of big white house, big red brick house with straight hallway and two rooms off to each side. Offices and schools always have guns in their spots unless someone got em first.

    Fall damage height

    I've had an odd experience of falling from on top of a short building and it only ruined my pants, didn't even knock healthy status off. It was weird because I've fallen from less and died. Does your health affect it?

    Honestly, some of the ones you'd find in the big open hangars at airfields would be like this. Also when they bring back vehicle loot too.
  10. Psychologists? I just made statements based on my experience in the game. There is zero gain from killing freshspawns other than base enjoyment of killing them. Why don't you come up to the airfields and do the same rather than camp spawn zones? Ah, because you wouldn't get to grief nubs. If you do it because you think you're adding excitement for the new spawns, well... that's an awfully uncreative way to go about it.
  11. ??? That isn't even a reason. So what, they respawn, possibly even closer to a free gun than before and with a *reason* to come back and fight you. If you were really killing them because you think they were somekind of a future threat, you'd be shooting them in the leg and letting them starve, hoping that they'll quit the game or switch servers. Yeah, I call bs on that. You just like shooting defenseless players. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's laughable you're just downright lying on a forum about your reasons.
  12. I think it depends on what condition the rest of the gear was in before they got shot. Like, head shots still knock off one or two 'conditions' from other stuff, so if it's pristine, containers should still be good. Either that or every instance of players saying headshots ruin everything is either A. killed player was running around with ruined gear anyway (I was running with ruined pants for the longest time and didn't realize it, happened due to a fall or something non-obvious) or B. the people who did the killing didn't make every shot a head shot like they think they did. Or C. it's all just buggy.

    When I got stuck for the first time after sprinting through a wall I did some tests afterward and it would only let me back through if I was sprinting. Wouldn't know about players pushing you into stuff because every player I've met either runs or tries to kill me.

    ... why do you have 308 posts and you haven't experienced this yet? And if you broke both legs, you should've had a morphine autoinjector (seriously, why not have at least one or two of these) or a splint on you, then you could've got up and attempted to exit the glitched area. (Very easy to do if you don't have broke legs). The jail buildings are especially glitchy atm, but you can only accidentally go through a wall if you're sprinting (Protip: Don't sprint in buildings). (Or log in error like I got once, came back after a server restart on the roof once, had to jump off. Didn't even break my legs somehow! But seriously, I only think that would happen if you attempt to move too quickly before a building you logged out in has fully generated)
  15. Invisible walls in that spot perhaps? These are things that get ironed out over time. Was this the rocky ridge north of Svetlojarsk? I can imagine there being a quite few issues if you're attacking from a lower part of it, what with all the rocks poking out and having the potential for an invisible wall just above it.
  16. Stop shooting while prone until the fix gets moved to stable then. Jesus Christ people. I don't know crap about the devs, but the people crying have never been a part of an alpha or beta before this, I know this for a fact. You all paid to be a part of this process.
  17. This is what happens when you go into an ALPHA looking to play a game when you're actually just testing it. You're right, if you want a bug free experience go back to Call of Battle whateve 10 for a bit.
  18. Considering how easy it is to kill someone with an axe or knock someone out with fists, I'd say no, that wouldn't do much. Just to add my two beans on a KoS deterrent (or really, just something to spice the game up some more): I'd prefer a status effect that goes on a person that kills another player (unless its over a certain distance). 'Scent of Death'. First stack of this debuff, 10-30 zeds spawn just out of player sight, all pinpointed to the one with the debuff. Two stacks, 40-60 spawn, but you can only get this by killing another player within thirty minutes of the last one you killed. Think, if you killed fresh meat in real infected zombie apocalypse, that's about how it would be. And this would limit large scale player killing to dedicated pvp groups for a large chunk, I would think. Edit: Ah, it could also insta-attract any that are just wandering about in scent range, so you'll have a big ole hoard if you try to run ;p
  19. Lol, the past two times I've been there I've found where players had fallen from the second story railing down into the hold and ran back to get what wasn't ruined. I know that's what happened because there are always little stacks of ruined gear, no bodies, and the tippy top of the ship is never looted. Walk, don't run, when in Rify. And don't log out in it :P

    Wow I was expecting a cool story after that first bit, but the second half does not look good for you. Boo hoo, hackers and server hoppers. This is a WIP! ITS AN ALPHA! You don't have to have your own server to have a 'community', once its done characters will be bound to the server they are made on. (or so I've read)

    Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that only initiates if you try to log in a server after you've logged out and the 30 second logout timer hadn't finished. I'd imagine the timer is still in place if you lose connection too, so you just may be logging back in too quickly.

    the zombie thing

    Play on experimental, you'll change your mind about zombies not being a threat. Hordes of those would be very dangerous unless you have a decently geared group. (Until they add grenades anyways!) This, I want hordes, but not really up where there is nothing (except maybe the odd one or two) but woods and feedshacks for miles. Outside of major cities though there should be a crapload, but not so much to make it seem like there should've been a lot more 'city' for the former inhabitants to live in.

    Lol, same bug happened to me, even lost almost the same stuff, backpack and shoes anyways. Just a glitch, hopefully it will be ironed out soon.
  24. Baddy with bad aim gets 'revenge' on a player investigating voices that were cussing him out, possibly fibbing to seem 'cool'. Cool story bro. Rify is one of my fav haunts as a freshspawn. Found an SKS and two shotguns in the command... post thingy, and a body down below where someone fell off through the railing.

    What the f*ck is going on on the coast?

    I was shot at for the first time on the coast the other day too, on experimental. Got away though, glad the dumb fuck was so eager to keep shooting when he had no hope of hitting me, took all the zeds off me too, hope he had to waste the rest of his ammo on them. All my other interactions have been fine, I guess. No talking, but friendly f2+qeqeqe before taking off at least.
