After 430 hours in game, i do know that it exist two different hives - Hardcore and Reguler - So no, thats not the issue. The issues we are having, and many others is that the hive WILL NOT save you`re character at any time. Even if you do a quick log out/log in, it will be deleted.

Yes there is a few Dayz Hacks out there, but all of them are pretty detectable for VAC or Battleeye, its just a matter of time before you get a ban :) Its farly easy to activate these hacks if you got little clue about cheat engine and scripting, but luckly most people out there dont - And it doesent exist any plug&play hacks yet. The most common hack this week is a package with: Force Daylight Item magnet No recoil Infinite Ammo Teleport Hack It also creates an overlay that will show you where the other players are and what weapons they carry :) ex. If you stay in Elektro with the overlay active, you`re screen will pop up little dots with names and weapon on every player around you, like a little gps tracker :) And No, i never tried any of this, it would ruin the game for me. Just watched others - Thats now banned.

I really wasn't aware of this, never seen it ingame. Needs to be looked into.

I dont really keep track of how many kills, but I got 430 Hours in game, and the only mission we got is to gear up and then go kill. We are a group of 4-6 people, and we normally kills around 10-15 players pr. day. Yesterday we got around 25 people killed in Electro. We are mostly focusing well geared people, just to stack up ammo. But of course, if its only fresh spawns around, we use them as target practice ;) The most fun part is to lay out a backback and a Mosin with Long Range as a bait in the street, cover the area with 5-6 people and then just wait for it! I think we managed to pile around 15 people once. Probably got around 150+ kills on my own.

Hello, I have the same issue myself, my character won't be saved. So i respawn and start on the coast everytime i log out/in :( I have verified the game catch and re-innstalled aswell, it doesent help. Hope its a fix coming up soon!

The day i can make my own camps it will be a totally different game for me. Then I can do what i love the most, gather equipment. Just stack up M4`s, Mosins, Food/Drinks for months and enough ammunition for the whole community! Just a place for my crew to gather up.

1 bullet headshot with Mosin and PU-Scope, I was sitting in the deerstand up in the sniperhill and saw this bandit lay down in the hill above Electro. Incredible lucky shot from my side, almost 800m. I had to run down to check if he was dead :p

Dayz, a big sandbox where all the towns and places looks the same and contains the same items + Airports. I takes you ruffly 1 hour to go from fresh spawn to fully geared - And thats why people rather enjoy big firefights than surviving - Not much to loose. We are always a group of 5-6 players playing together, and after 350 hours gameplay, we have not yet been wiped out totally. So if someone dies, we just sit by and protect the loot till he comes back. I really enjoy the loot process, you can finally feel free and run in the streets for a few minutes. Once you are fully geared, you are a target - So you get 30minutes of freedom.

For me and my group of 7 people, DayZ only got two options: 1. Spawn and run straight to an Airport to gear up, then run back to Electro and kill everything that moves around. 2. Run straight to Electro, get yourself a weapon, group up and kill everything that moves around. The last option is normally the fastest way to get gear, its just bullshit when people say that its no point killing for gear, because everything will be ruined? Well then you are doing something wrong. If you are smart you don't spray down you`re target with a M4, a simply Headshot will just ruin the headslots. In most cases you just need their ammo and weapons anyway, and that cant be ruined anyway. After 300-400 hours in game time, you have explored enough - The only fun part thats left is to gear up, help fresh spawns and kill fully geared ones. Electro is a fun place to be, even tho` its 40 people on the server, you can easily take control of the town with 6-7 players, just spread out, the most important thing is that everyone should be able to cover up each other, its a tactical game. And remember, most people panic when you run them up only with a fire Axe ;)

You either get kicked due to bad connection or you`ll get kicked to get killed by server hosters.

I am having the same problem. Character got reset over 5 times in one day. I have tried different severs and even tried to play on only 1 server, but it still gets reset. Really sucks.

Hello guys, Yes I`m sure the internet consists of many "I lost my character posts" - But I think this is something else. I now have about 350 hours gametime in Dayz Standalone, and im getting used to loose my character from time to time, but this week its got to a point that its actually really annoying. Yesterday my characters got reset 5 times in a day, and I have played on 4-5 different servers. It looks like my character just wont save when i log back out. We are a group of 6 people playing together, and its not happening to the others. Do you guys think it could be a local issue in my computer or network? I dont have any ingame problems, besides som game crashes now and then. And its looks like my default character in the menu cant be changed typ. Female/Male, Dark/Light Dark etc. It always goes back to the old one. *Frustrated*

I hope its either a fix or something i can do myself. It`s alright that its an alpha, I and i dont mind the occasionally character wipes - But 5 times daily, its to much :)

Me and my friends got several servers up, it doesent really cost much to rent one (around 90$ for a month for 40 slot). But you can`t really do much besides Kicking, restarting and shutting down the server. We dont have any abilities as watching other peoples view, we cant get up players names etc. But what we can do, is spotting people, get close and try to chat with them and if they answer - Well, then we got their names! (Then we know who to kick, if we like) Or you can actually run around with food or drinks in you hand and point it on people, are you close enough you will get their names up. Or simply just kick everyone on the server, they will sit down for 10-15 sec, so you have plenty enough time to do a headshot and then go loot.

Yup, unfortunately I am. This happened 5 times yesterday, tried to log in this morning on the same server as i logged out on yesterday, PAW - Freshspawn again. So 6 times in a row now.

Well the best thing with your own server is to spot good geared people, get close, then just kick and kill :)
