Yeah, but I'd like to shoot someone too. Everything cool always happens when I have no gun, or a "weak" gun with no ammo. That's why I rather run around with a Mosin these days instead of wasting my time running to military bases just to die later on. I just get's unbelievably frustrating when I have a good gear or a gun like AKM and then those two guys I see in three days are either friendly or so badly equipped it makes no logical sense to shoot them (which I do because otherwise I could never shoot (though, never seen anyone when I have AKM)). I've had many times though where I beat a well geared guy with my fists. Once I had two friendly guys with M4 talking Russian to me, and we all know Russians, so I resorted in violence and beat them both. It was funny they didn't manage to shoot a single bullet. Just a little story for you, I'm sure you fuckers enjoy it. And who uses the baseball bat?

I really can't take this anymore... Gearing up for ages just so you can die by two hackers... I think I might become a hacker myself, just to get stuff back faster in a case of dying by hackers. Getting killed because of the game's flaws (lag etc.) is already too much, and being killed by hackers just makes me entirely frustrated and mad... <snop>

Of course. I usually tell them where's my old gun after I've found a better one. Sometimes I just give them pistols.

Twice I've sprayed someone from close range from the hip and both times they didn't even get hit and I died.

Since when have maps shown your location? That's why it's a map and not a GPS. I think this is pretty stupid, since this game is supposed to be at least somewhat realistic.

One of the reasons I stopped playing DayZ few days ago (needless to say I downloaded it again this morning) was that almost every night at some point I saw a dream with similarities to DayZ. I think the game is so intensive it gets stuck to back of your brains. Always at some separate dream or at some point of a normal dream, I see myself shooting someone with Mosin who has AKM and he fells the same way as in DayZ, also in similar places as in DayZ (like police stations). Does this ever happen to you?

Okay, again last night I saw a dream about DayZ. I was in some sort of town in a very warm and nice coast, like in Spain, and there were the main street and only one line of complex buildings on each side. I was hunting two blue kids who were all geared up with my mosin. Then they tried to shoot me with SKS but couldn't hit. I saw them and followed and they went inside a house. When I walked from the door, I was in dark, very small room with a big bed. On bed, there was my bald grandpa (dead in real life), bald dad and his only son, some small bald fucker. They were watching some weird blue show on TV, and I went to sleep between dad and grandpa. No homo

I've had this phenomenon in many other dreams, especially in the past. I remember I was some terrorist who's job was to kill few American soldiers in a base on top of a little hill. When I got there, my Scorpion simply jammed or I couldn't just shoot them :D

Well, I've played numerous of games just as much when getting excited, but never experienced anything like this

sounds nice, but why not have this same view on inventory screen when you're looting someone? It would be a lot more handy.

I did same kind of thread before. I shot all my bullets inside a police station to a guy, and he did the same until I killed him with an axe. People replies it's a bug, and I believe it's a bug too. There is some sort of invisible walls there.

I couldn't figure out any decent search words for this so I had to start a new topic. So yeah, I spawned to a same server again and see my own character sitting next to me? I know it's common, but what should I do now?

Well, naturally being dead is worse than being unconscious. Today I panicked and shot a man who tried to punch me inside a house, and he fell unconscious. I thought that it was unnecessary and patched his wounds, took off his ruined stuff and put some food to his unbroken pants, and then force fed him. Then I rejoined the same server after an hour and there he was, alive and idle :D And once a guy beat me unconscious on similar situation where I attacked first and then apologized and guarded me until I woke up.

So I should've KILLED THE IMPOSTER?? I didn't. Fug :D

Well, yesterday I was playing DayZ in the new town in the north. I walked to the only police station and looted it. When I walked down the stairs, I saw a guy walking to a room his back facing at me. I shot three times with an SKS from like 3m away, but it didn't hit. Then he of course ran in the room and started peeking through the doorway with his Mosin Nagant. Every time I saw his head, I shot, but again, no hit. Then I ran out of ammo and ran outside to reload. Then I got back and he was at the door of the police station. I emptied all my 10 rounds from only 1m distance, and he also shot me, but not a single bullet hit me or him. Then I took out my splitting axe and killed him. Usually I would've blamed lag, but this server was not laggy at all... What is going on? Last time I shot someone was before the latest patch, and nothing like this happened. Also after this incident, I went to drink from a pond and got stuck there.

I don't even know how you can mess around with the sights :D

It is possible it has something to do with invisible walls. And yes, my FPS was decent all the time. And what do you mean with zero?

Hmm... Hopefully the game works better after that. I'm tired on playing with very bad graphics and low FPS.

I waited 40 minutes on top of a construction site near Berezino and saw no one. Absolutely no one coming to the nearly most populous place in the game on 40 player server. How is that possible? How can every place be always looted if no one ever comes there?

I doubt anyone who has money for a PC that can run DayZ has problems buying a mic. Otherwise I'll agree with you, though saying it's against "human privacy rights" is a bit too extreme I think.

Literally no downsides? What about shitty mics? Half of the players I've seen has so bad mics all I hear is "bandage bandit gun bean hurrr", and some Russian speaking English is nearly the same as him speaking Russian. Also, as much as I enjoy Scottish and Irish accents, as a foreigner, it's sometimes very hard to understand what they are saying. Sounds nearly like French... I have a mic, but I don't use it. Why? Because at least for me, even the worst English is understandable as text, unlike as spoken. Chat also has a lot longer range than mic.

But then they must put some sort of item respawn system in place.
